  1. Good question. I think the Polian-type czar makes more sense, with Rex and Whaley/Whaley's replacement both reporting to him.
  2. I don't think Rex. I'd say either the football czar that Pegs wanted last off-season with Polian, or a more traditional GM with a lot more clout than Whaley currently has.
  3. Whaley's not getting fired, but he may not get extended when his contract is up after this year. I think it's still TBD with 4 games left, but anyone who thinks right now that it's not possible is extremely naive.
  4. I hope Patricia goes somewhere, I'm tired of seeing that slob 2x a year.
  5. I'm going to add some speculation to this, since it is my thread. I say that: 1. When Rex was hired, one of the points that Whaley brought up was that there needed to be an open QB competition. He couldn't get away with insisting that EJ be made the starter going in, but he did insist that he needed a chance to win the job. 2. Rex agreed to this, knowing fully well the day that TT was signed that TT was going to be the starter. 3. The open competition turned out to be a charade, solely there to make DW happy. As long as TT looked halfway-decent, he was going to be the starter, regardless of what the other 2 did. And since EJ looked good in the pre-season games, DW was none-too-pleased with the result. And I say that the Bills would've been much better off if Rex named TT the starter a whole lot sooner.
  6. It may have... a lot of it is hindsight now, considering how bad the other 2 QBs have looked in the regular season in comparison... plus I think/hope TT is on the verge of turning the corner, he may have turned it sooner.
  7. At the very least though, I would've named him starter before the 1st pre-season game and played him all 1st-halfs + 3rd Q of game 3 & given him all the 1st-team reps from that point.
  8. Looking back now, what a waste of time that was. While it's true that a lot of high-profile players were out back then, TT should've gotten a lot more work. Rex should've named him the starter Day 1, that's who he wanted. I think the additional experience with this O could've made a difference in at least 1 of the losses this year.
  9. Yep, great game by Tyrod. Great thread, too. Good fun laughing at his butt-hurt detractors, with the final laugh coming up in a couple months or so when their 2nd-string hero gets thrown to the curb.
  10. Yeah, I would've guessed Taylor Swift this year, maybe she's busy.
  11. Depends on whether or not he stays off my TV. I will be none-too-pleased if he takes over for Phil Simms.
  12. Bills 24 Texans 17 Bills would be 11-1 if my picks in these weekly threads were right.
  13. Big Bad Bennie Anderson.
  14. Enough to extend him with a nice raise? At least 5 more weeks to go till the season's over, but as things stand today, I think the arrow is pointing downward. Agreed. I like him, but he's far from an impact player.
  15. Exactly, nothing but press-talk. I'm sure if you look hard enough, you can find a quote from Marrone last year saying how pleased he was with EJ's progress. Should've been Pegs 1st move. Dump anyone who was associated with Ralph once-and-for-all.
  16. lol I do like going to Philly for concerts, shows there are always better than NYC/DC.
  17. Philly's your other team, right?
  18. Ravens, only cause I've lived in Baltimore County for 25 years now. Giants would be 2nd, Pats would be 3rd. Loathe the other 2 teams/fan bases.
  19. I fully supported the Rex hire, but I have to admit it's not looking good right now. Gotta wonder where this team would be right now if Marrone, Schwartz, and Polian were here.
  20. Big difference between being a Bills fanboy like me and a QB fanboy like you though.
  21. True, none of your QBs would be cut like I said Brees might have... the one's you reject would be traded away long before they were greatly devalued. Like you said, it would have to start with ownership... you may have to explain why a QB you gave up on ended up panning out somewhere else after a few years. Not too bad though if you do end up hitting on a great one, so long as the one you stick with ends up being the best of all you drafted.
  22. We are definitely due, law of averages.. plus all those guys are gone. TT has to play the whole game though.
  23. Who? The usual fanboys who fall madly in love with any 1st-round QB.
