As the years go by the lists get farther and farther away from rock and roll. Joy Division and New Order are completely different, can't even compare the music.

    True.

I do think Joy Division was great & far better, but back-in-the-day I played New Order a whole lot more.

Surprised George Michael & Zevon weren't already in.

“If”.. Marino would have been demolished by The Giants, Redskins & Cowboys had complete teams typical of what gave Marino trouble. Kelly outplayed him many times head to head both in the reg season & playoffs.

Marino was the best regular season QB of the 80s stats wise.  That’s where the compliments end for him from me.. everyone has an opinion.

Steve Young had a tremendous run after Montana left.. if it wasn’t for the stacked Cowboy teams, Steve would have won three rings.  It is what it is.

Steve Young had a tremendous run for 1 year, and that’s it. Great regular season QB though. It is what it is.

He is legit bad! He always has been. I don't doubt that he may have locker room qualities, and the Niners were of course desperate. But guys like that don't last as long as him and -- more to the point -- they don't play for 15 teams! That has to be some sort of record.

Yet he was and is still better than EJ, that’s why he is still in the league.

    Milano?

    Tre White?

Who you got? The reasoning for this will be revealed, I think, over the course of this thread.

Truly all-pro caliber? Other than Josh, not a one, not by Beane. He has drafted some nice players though, but no elite ones.

If you go to the draft before he came, Milano did have a good year, like to see him keep it up & work on his tackling. Dawkins has always been very overrated, and so was Tre White even pre-injury.

No doubt this upcoming draft / off-season is a big one for him if they are to break through.

I think he is. I think patience is the key when it comes to a really good athlete who is very long and played a low level of football. I keep using Mike McGlinchey as an example. The difference is that he went to Notre Dame and had a more polished game. He really struggled and finally put it together, though he still gets beat sometimes and is probably their worst linemen. He is going to get paid.

Who are you replacing Brown with? Are you going to use a premium pick on a guy to play RT? Meh. A guy who may not be as good as Brown? In free agency? Well

we won’t have the cap space to sign a McGlinchey or McGary.

McGary is another guy, long and lean and a great athlete. He was so bad his first 3 years that the Falcons turned down his 5th year option, and he finally put it together year 4, and he’s going to laugh all the way to the bank.

Brown will pull it together. He has a nasty disposition and a great mentality and motor. I really feel patience is the key with him, but they should bring in some sort of competition.

Yes, he does have that attitude so desperately needed on the OL and team. I hope he can stay healthy and improve.
