  1. Apperantly Dick Jauron doesn't have as much pull as he thought Rogers Centre roof opened Today Posted By: Chris Brown | Time: 5:40 PM ET | Link ROOF OPENED UP: Well apparently the plans to keep the roof closed have been scrapped because just a few minutes ago the roof was opened. We'll let you know if its closed prior to the game. --- http://buffalobills.com/blog/index.jsp?blogger_id=1 "do not open this link or attempt to post a response" I'm not very good at following directions
  2. Can we save it for when the games count?
  3. I didn't live in Buffalo when that happened, I thought he was a free agent. That should be on the list, I'll fix the post.
  4. The same can be said for the bills The Bills draft Todd Collins in the 2nd round 1995 Jim Kelly retires after the 1996 season The Bills trade a 3rd round pick in 1997 for Billy Joe Hobert The Bills trade a 1st round pick in 1998 for Rob Johnson The Bills trade a 2003 1st round pick in 2002 for Drew Bleadsoe The Bills trade a 2005 1st round, a 2004 2nd round, and other picks for JP losman in 2004 The Bills use a 3rd round pick on Trent Edwards in 2007
  5. As long as the Trent Edwards bus picks up all the passengers, finishes his run on time, and stays out of the repairshop, I'll be happy. BTW, once it's on a roll, a buss can get going pretty fast and is imposible to stop.
  6. I used to work for a radio station. That was the best because I got to go to all of the games for free.
  7. Someone from Buffalo upset about a change. I cannot believe it. The people in Buffalo love change.
  8. If we have a quaterback that could do that, we should start him. I think Pennington's lack of arm strength has been exagerated almost as much as Trent's lack of arm strength. In my opinion, Pennington would be the perfect backup to Trent Edwards. JP was not moved because the Bills know Trent may get injured this year. The Bills could not give up JP without getting a number 2 QB. If the Bills get Pennington, their asking price for JP drops from a 3rd or 4th to a 5th or 6th (or cut JP to clear up cashtothecap space letting us sign, Pennington/Peters/Evans/Crowell)
  9. I agree, I think Pennington would be the perfect backup to Edwards.
  10. What bothers me is that they stopped the practice. They should have taken the opportunity to practice in less that optimal conditions. I know you do not want to risk an injury in slippery conditions, but I am sure there are drills they could have done. Maybe have trent throw to an equipment manager or something.
  11. Didn't he have a spinal fusion in his neck? I cannot beleive he can pass an NFL physical. After he finishes this year on IR, we should bring him back as an assistiant strength and conditioning coach. He put on some good weight between '06 and '07. He also had a crazy conditioning regiment (not that it helped him stay healthy last year). I think I read about one of the current Bills going to Wire's to rehab after surgery. The tatoo shop that let him get that should be ashamed.
  12. It is my understanding that the fines do not get enforced until Peters reports. In addition, the Bills have the option of enforcing the fines and determining the value of the fines. Jason Peters is not sending the Bills a check for 15K every day. I think fines are generally forgiven when the player signs. If he forces the Bills to trade him, then the Bills will send him a bill.
  13. If you believe the Bills' "official" statements, then If someone from the Peters camp called the Bills, prior to Peters reporting, the Bills wouldn't take the call - But 3/4 of the people blame Peters. In reality, I'm sure both sides are talking. The probowl left tackle is taking a Bruce Smith type of vacation so he doesn't have to work to hard and can take extra time to heal after his minor surgery. The Bills are okay with it and have an idea when Peters will report. Afew days later there will be a new contract and everone will be happy and move on. For right now, I'm board and so are alot of football fans.
  14. I'm not saying Peters holdout is a good idea, I am just saying I am more on Peters side. I think the refusal to talk, at all, about anything before he reports to camp is also bush league.
  15. Playing in the NFL is far from "working for a living" We treat these guys as gods, then we get angry when they don't act like everyday people. Jason Peters doesn't know anything about working for a living. He doesn't have to, we will pay to watch him play.
  16. No, his last agent screwed him by signing a multi year deal when many analysts thought Peters was on the verge of becoming the player he was last year. His current agent is the same guy who let Devon Hester show up for all the voluntary OTAs but had him skip the involuntary OTAs - to mention one of his other mistakes this year
  17. Peters showed good faith by coming to camp and playing any position they asked Peters showed good faith by risking his health as a wedge breaker on special teams and working to learn a new position NFL teams can opt out of any contract with any player at any time, the players do not have the same option. The Bills cant even pick up the phone and talk to someone?
  18. The off-season surgery combined with the holdout does seem suspicious. It is a topic that should be thoroughly addressed in negotiations. My problem is that the Bills claim that there have been no negotiations. Peters' agent has made some errors this season, I'm not saying Peters' holdout isn't one of those errors. I am saying Peters deserves a new contract. If you are going to give him a new contract anyway, stop jerking him around and start talking.
  19. Why does Peters have to show good faith before the Bills? Someone has to give at some point, or both sides loose.
  20. This is hard because we only know the Bill's side. I am on Peters' side. I may not approve of him holding out, but in the NFL teams do not need to honor contracts. If a team doesn't have to honor the contract, why should the player. By NFL standards Peters is underpaid, he should get a raise. If the Bills offered to make him the highest paid o-lineman on the team (the Bills have not indicated that they offered anything) I may change my mind. The "We won't talk until you show up" approach may be taking to hard of a stance. Open up communication, make an offer, something. The Bills need to show goodfaith in these negotiations just as much as Peters.
  21. I agree with ramius on real football 365
  22. These guys got screwed. I think there were only 2 or 3 army players who here offered shots to make nfl teams this year. The NFL should not allow the Army to run commercials durring games for the first two weeks of the season, one week for every guy who had to go back to the army without being cut.
  23. Our O-tackle depth really worries me this year. We cannot affort an injury/holdout of Peters or even Walker
  24. I'm not a big fan of billy buffalo. But I still vote for him because I want Buffalo to win. I was once told that Buffalo is the only place where sports fans root for the city "let's go Buffalo" rather than the team "let's go ravens" Let's go Buffalo
  25. I think Jason Taylor would cost more than 1 mill, even for a short term lease, especially if you buy. If I had a million $ to spend on the Bills, I'd by a parking lot outside of New England’s stadium. Then I’d call it: Park At The Super Special Ultimate Car Keeper
