  1. I hope his contract extention came with a systems upgrade. Jauron 2.0 will turn this team around (as long as it's not Vista)
  2. There may be a silver lining for republicans. Maybe the party will move away from some of the religious ideals that alienate many Americans and return to the party that stands for a smaller and fiscally responsible government.
  3. I don't remember any of these coaches dropping their pants at half time. Singletary has passion, but it seems misguided. Singletary needs to spend less time flipping out at his own players and more time figuring out how to beat the opposing players. You know the saying, "It takes one to know one" Sanders is the best person to say NFL players don't play hard all of the time
  4. Niagara Mohawk used to keep a truck by the stadium on game days so they could quickly fix a situation like yesterdays. I herd they discontinued the practice this year because they did not want to pay double-time for someone to sit in a truck all day on Sunday.
  5. I don't know, but it's on the front page: The Sports Network reports: 'Defensive end Aaron Schobel (foot), starting center Melvin Fowler (elbow), and nickel back Ashton Youboty (foot) are all questionable.' The BuffaloBills.com article about the secondary offers the following: “He’s just sore,” said Jauron of Youboty. “He does individual work and is very limited in team and in the look squad stuff. We were just trying to get him through it. We’ll have to see how that thing feels at game time.”
  6. Youboty is questionable.
  7. Yes. Maybe Ralph has accepted the fact that he will have to spend cash-to-the-cap for players every year, so paying a player Millions is easier for him to swallow than an extra $100K for a guy who can scout linemen.
  8. Big name players = Big time $
  9. If the Bills do have a "scouting blindspot", then they shouldn't waist high picks on positions they have trouble evaluating. Signing proven O-linemen and trading for proven D-linemen may be the best way to go. So, who will be the best FA Center in '09?
  10. The $15-30K the NFL brings in from fines every week is a drop in the bucket. This isn't the Town of Kenmore giving out fines to meet it's payroll. The fines are to discourage players from hurting QBs. That way, guys like Farve can play for 20 years. When big name players (QBs) are playing the NFL makes more $. The NFL will probably make more $ in Farve Jerseys this year than in fines.
  11. Exactly, back in the day they were hitting guys making a few thousand dollars a year. Now they are hitting multi-million dollar investments.
  12. I herd a rumor that when Calderone was at MTV he claimed he could turn anyone into a rockstar. As the resault of that boast, the main-stream world was introduced to ... Kid Rock. Do you think the Bills 'Shout' video will get some airtime?
  13. How can you fail a physical yesterday and practice today? Is Dr. Reep's spinal decompression chamber that good? Who looks worse? 1) The Bills for trading a guy who has barely played all year for a 4th and ending up having the guy sent back, or 2) The Colts for saying the guy failed a physical only to have him practice the next day. (Remember, the Colts overpaid because they are desperate for DT help)
  14. Haven’t the Broncos been using a Zone blocking scheme for the past 15 years. Zone blocking is not the problem. The Bills use a form of the running system that Studsville/McNally used (successfully) with the Giants. All of the current o-linemen were brought in under McNally; you would think that they were suited for his system. I am hoping that some minor bye week adjustments fix the run blocking.
  15. I think Losemanball can be pretty exciting. However, I was NOT looking forward to loosing.
  16. The Patriots won the superbowl in Belicheat's 2nd season as head coach. The Colts were not successful in the playoffs, so they switched head coaches. Once you are successful, then you keep the same people. If you are bad and keep the same people, you stay bad.
  17. When they took away Crowell's 'C' and gave it to Donte, I think the Bills plans for Crowell became very clear.
  18. No, injury concerns are under B, because most people beleive that his silence is just his way of keeping the injury a secret. so the tally is: A - 0 B - 1.5 C - 1 D - 0 E - 1/2 Jim Kelly - 1 Linebacker - 1 Tight End - 1 Mickey - 2 other - 13 About right for a Peters thread
  19. Fantasy has really gone to far. The networks have replaced the scores of other games with player stats. I can watch the Bills/Seahawks game and know how many receiveing yards Andre Johnson has, but I have to wait until 1/2 time to find out if Brady's bad foot is allowing KC to stay in the game.
  20. ok. I'm just think the Bills have a young team that should have used the preseason as an opportunity to get more expereince. The Crowell thing was just a way to push the issue.
  21. C is why he thought the Bills would cave. That is pretty selfish.
  22. Then why did Jauron say this was "out of the blue". If you knew this was coming, why didn't Jauron?
  23. You forgot (E) the Bills front office not getting this resolved. Out of the choices you identified, I'd say (B) is the one that bothers me the most.
  24. maybe the Bills should have actually played their strarters a little in the pre-season
  25. Why would they do that? They should have just reduced Johnson's signing bonus by about $357,000. That way they could have saved some cap room. $357,000 could have gotten them a nice injury replacement, or allowed them to extend the contract of some special teamer. This growing trend towards morality and principles in the NFL is starting to disturb me.
