Brandon will soon sit down with Hardy's agent and others to do contracts. Are special provisions put into contract for players who have had conduct problems? I would want lot's of incentives in his and some other peoples contracts. Revocation of bonus payments if suspended is one i would want in. I would want them to spend a certain number of days in Buffalo and not at home. Anyone have knowledge of special provisions in player contracts? Is it common?

Hardy cannot bring his pistol(s) into NYS without obtaining a NYS pistol permit. It's hard to get. I have one and it took the better part of a year. I do not have a criminal past. It's likely that Hardy will not get one in NYS at all. Brandishing or pointing a weapon will get your permit revoked anywhere. Hardy does not need to be charged to get it lifted. The issuing body has the right to revoke your permit at any time (in NY) I would bet it's the same in La. or wherever he is. I do not know where his mother lives it might be a dangerous neighborhood. Some guys who have permits make a habit of carrying them. He may have pulled out the gun to get out of the way if there was an argument with his father. You do not want to grapple with someone with a loaded gun on your hip. Hardy may need some conseling and some supervision. If I were the Bills i want him in Buffalo rooming with one of my trusted veterans. I would also want him in regular contact with a conselor even a shrink.

He can if he can beat the Jam! Nfl corners will play Hardy right on his nose and perhaps use a backer to chip him off the line. It's the only way to offset his height. Hardy needs to get stronger to keep them off of him. The other thing they will try to do is too keep him inside Once a guy with Hardy's size gets the sideline it's a mismatch. If you take the sideline away and force him inside those safeties can lay an NFL lick on him. Hardy will need all the character he can muster to get stronger and to sustain NFL punishment. He will get lots of attention. That will be a great thing for our passing game if he can hold up to the beating he is going to take. With his height he does not have to be a great route runner but he has to beat the jam and find the sideline. Easier to say than to do.

A Crack At The 53 Man Roster...

I would not be looking forward to a collision with Viti followed immediatly by a collision with Lynch. That could get old by the middle of the 4th quarter.

If Xavier's Omon's moves transfer to NFL ...

I would like to see Oman as our short yardage and goal line back. Save Lynch from taking a beating. -
We NEED 2 SIGN THESE 2 GUYS ASAP!!!! Just GOT realesed

I think we will see additional Offensive linemen mostly vets Before camp opens or during the early phase of camp. I think they would like to bring the Tight ends they have already have to camp and let them fight it our for 2-3 jobs on the team. They may keep only two active because they are going to have 1 or 2 FB's and or 5-6 WR's The Tight End competition hopefully is furious and down to the wire. I sincerely hope Royal is forced to compete for a job. Personally I think Teyo has more talent and Fine more football smarts than Royal. -
? about the undrafted free agents
Trader replied to BillsD#1in2008's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably correct but Barnes had better be up for it or Viti will take his job. -
This post makes me a lot happier than the. "What if Hardy is a bust one?"
-
I agree it think it's a respect thing and also has to do with the injury settlement. They also might have some type of official retirement ceremony for him at an appropriate time.

Screens don't work when the other team is looking for it? How about a tight end reverse?

The only question is. Is he better than Preston. Is Fletcher better than any of our TE's or is he worth a look to put him in the mix. -
New England 15 free agents, How many have a chance? New Orleans 19 free agents. The jets 14. Washington 15 free agents Any free agent who has an alternative would be better served to go with a team like Buffalo who looks at 9 or 10 guys and has a plan for them. The Bills have a strong track record of developing undrafted players. The first one I remember was Robert James for the original AFC Bills. All League Cornerback. It's tradition that survives today with Jason Peters Pro bowl LT converted from TE none the less. They should erect a free agent statue of liberty at one Bills Drive.

Congratulations you could not have made a better choice Bills UDFA have a better chance here than anywhere else in the league. Other teams sign 15 guys and use them like camp fodder. We always have a couple make the team. Last year one went to the Pro Bowl and one started at MLB

I will bet he does not make it to the final cut.

A technique question about how we ran our D scheme
Trader replied to Pyrite Gal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pyrite gal how did you feel about the Bills first 3 picks? Would you have done anything different that what they did given who was available. Personally i would have drafted Harvey if there but clearly Mckelvin was the next best player. Did you see it differently? -
That what I call a motivating factor. Make a pro roster or go get shot at. Talk about an incentive to play!
-
He just gave our negotiators a perfect reason to underpay his base and overload his incentives..
-
Suprise one of this draft is the fact that no WR went in round 1. Surprise 2 of this draft is that Offensive linemen are leaping off the board.
-
I guess Draft Tek is not as smart as they think!
-
Sorry yes I did mean Mike Pollack. Also the draft tek simulation which updates after every round is showing Bennett and Pollack right there available at round 3 at the Bills Pick I hope they are right
-
No that is not why. Not for me. it was the 122 catches, His size and the way he abused one of the top corners in the draft. Not to mention his 25 wonderlic score and his great combine. Plus one of the scouts thought he could put on another 15 lbs and not lose any mobility. I guess Green Bay agreed because he was the 2 nd WR selected. I am delighted though that we do not have to play against Nelson 2 x a year.
-
If Chris Pollack is there I take him at three. With Harvey he is your red zone - go to specialist. A center might be more helpful than another Tight end at three. If Pollack is gone than you take the next available TE at 3.

Ok i am happy wanted Nelson but Hardy gives us some very interesting options. He will help Evans, Reed and the the Miami smurf too.
