  1. The answer to your question is in Jerry Sullivan's column this morning. It's an excellent analysis of what went down.
  2. I don't think about Hamden at all.
  3. Not Bad I am not sure Kruger is an answer to our pass rush though and I would rather we sign a Veteran WR in free Agency than draft one at number 4. I would like to get Jackson DE from Georgia Tech probably by trading down in the First round and giving up our second and the extra from the trade for another first rounder. so Cushing and Jackson in the first round Sign FA WR or trade for a WR - Parrish is expendable in a trade Sign Birk the C from the Vikings in FA I like Pascoe at TE Check our the East West game for tape on him Best players available at need positions from there on.
  4. If I could have any player in the league on my team it would be Fitz.
  5. Boom Bust Player? Actually I am leaning the other way on this. The Bills are in an almost impossible division. Marginal improvement will merely put them third place in the division. We need to take the risk on a Boom Bust guy. That guy might be Michael Johnson from GT. Maybe he is another Kerse, Maybe he is another Flowers. What if you could trade down a slot or two Still get Johnson and get a high rated Center or TE at the top of the second or late in the first using that extra pick to do a classic Buffalo trade up? I say roll the dice! If they did and it did not work then I am not going to cry about it.
  6. Yes we do - Not with the pick at 11.
  7. I didn't know that.
  8. I like Derek Fine as our number 2 or 3 TE.
  9. Very athletic guy. The rap is that he is not a good worker. No evidence of that on the film. I saw lots of motor in the highlights. That's why they call it a highlight I suppose. With Denny already here rotating in and and adding Johnson they would be a real problem for QB's to throw against. He will move up after the combine.
  10. Maybe we could draft Pettigrew and he could room with Hardy. Yeah that will work out just fine!
  11. This is not a draft where many guys stand out as sure bets. A lot of good players and not really any great players. I don't think you can look at any one player and say he is in the pro bowl for the next 5 years. players 11-25 seem pretty equal in talent unless you need a specific position. With regard to TE is see little difference in the top 5-6 in terms of talent.
  12. Ralph does not agree he pretty much said our players Su_k.
  13. Very troubling you have to ask yourself, "Do I really want my children and grand children to play this game?"
  14. I believe that Arbanas was blind in one eye.
  15. It was the Chiefs offense that was strong I was at the championship game. "In the American Football League, a predominantly offensive league, the Buffalo Bills were a great defensive team. With a linebacking corps of Harry Jacobs, Mike Stratton, and John Tracey; and defensive line stalwarts like Tom Day, Tom Sestak, Jim Dunaway, and Ron McDole, the Bills defense did not allow a rushing touchdown for seventeen straight games over a period of the 1964 and 1965 seasons. Their pass defense was just as good as their run defense, registering fifty quarterback sacks in 1964, still a team record, although it was established in a 14-game season. The Bills won AFL championships in both of those seasons. They were the first American Football League team to win 13 games in a season (1964); were one of only three teams to appear in an AFL championship game for three successive years; and the only AFL team to apear in the playoffs four straight years, 1963 through 1966. Balancing their defensive prowess, the Bills had offensive muscle as well, in stars such as running backs Cookie Gilchrist and Wray Carlton, quarterbacks Jack Kemp and Daryle Lamonica, and receivers Elbert Dubenion and Ernie Warlick." The best part was that these were truly our guys. They were Bills. It was nothing like today with every man out for the highest dollar.
  16. Yep you need 3 starting corners and there are those injuries that always seem to happen. I like the idea of an excellent player who actually wants to be a Bill that is what is missing for me in today's NFL. Team loyalty is worth a lot to me.
  17. I agree on Pettigrew. I only like him in a trade down for an additional pick in the first three rounds. It's a no risk proposition if someone takes him ahead of the Bills oh well there are some very good options later in the draft and the fall off is not that great if at all. Pettigrew is a very good blocker and a good posession receiver with some character concerns The risk reward factor at 11 is way out of whack. What does he give you that Pascoe in the 5th or Nelson or Beckham in the 4th does not?
  18. Ok I will change my free agent from Crowell to Darnell Dinkins TE from Cleveland - You can tell how much I like the Bills front office. I will stay with Cushing LB at number 1 and A Caldwell (we trade our third round pick to move into a higher second round slot to get him). We just waste that third rounder because a better player at another need position would have fallen to us if we stayed put.
  19. Very cool I am going to get into it after work today.
  20. Bills need to redo their helmet for sure. It's a nightmare with those oversized Buffalo on the side and way too many stripes down the center. It's got something happening everywhere. I like the classic look. Colts, Rams, Chargers
  21. Fourth round I think Nelson, Pascoe and a couple of others who I forgot. Nelson may be the best receiver in the draft and Macock thought he was a decent blocker. Pancaked Rey M on one play that he pointed out on film. No way before the 4th round. We will trade our third round pick to move up and get one of the top Centers.
