  1. The City of Buffalo didn't seem to be a real problem when Bill Polian was GM and the Bills were winning. The problem is that we are a docile franchise in a division with agressive franchises. If the Bills they actually spent cash to the cap and still couldn't land players than I might buy some of the arguments. For most players I do not believe weather is an issues and for some of the big linemen I cannnot imagine going to camp in Carolina or Jacksonville or Baltimore. I do think that the Bills are now known around the league as a doormat franchise that lacks a committment and leadership to building a winner. The problem is compounded by the AFC East
  2. Too many needs not enough draft choices.
  3. Yeah I remember a few years ago the Bills signed some guy that age by the Name of Loftus... no it was Lofton! James was his first name what ever happened to him?
  4. No disrespect to Hardy he is not yet a bust but he is an underachiever who is injured. The Bills are going to be playing 4 games without Lynch. Hardy will not be there for them the 1st part of the season either. I like Steve Johnson too but he is not likely to be starting material until late next season if that.
  5. Maybe Langston Walker goes to Guard. They trade down draft Mack at C. Pick up an extra 3 rd. Trade back in the first or high second and get a DE or Pass rusher. with the 3 extra 3 rounsd pick that they did not trade drafta a linebacker 4. TE Gronkowski - If we are going to get beat give me a local kid to cheer for. From there on it's BPA work hard on the UDFA class. We finish 4-12.
  6. It is interesting that Dockery replaced the Bills before the Bills replaced Dockery. If he becomes a star with the Skins and they make it to the big show the Bills will have to become a better team relative to the AFC East because they will look totally inept otherwise.
  7. Jets resigned Barndon Moore no longer an option.
  8. Seems to me like Peters is holding all the aces in the contract negotiation now.
  9. Right now the Bills are missing a starting center, a backup center and a starting guard. If they go into the Draft with 2 missing starters on the OL the draft will be dictated by position need. I don't think I have to tell anyone on this board what a pathetic spot that is to be in.
  10. This topic deserves a Poll. we should be able to get to 5 finalists then we can do it with other positions as well. Got to do something to keep busy before the draft.
  11. Perhaps because he caught 70 passes last year? I he can catch 50 I don't care if he is 43.
  12. Look at the bright side every agent of every UDFA should want to come to Buffalo. We have job openings for those young hungry guys. They could be the next Jason Peters or the next Jim Leonard or the next Fred Jackson. You will be glad we did not sign any of those spoiled lazy big name players when UDFA season rolls around.
  13. "We could either trade down for him, or else take some other player (hopefully Raji) at #11 overall, and then trade back into the first for Mack." [ That would be a strategy I could support.
  14. Braxton was an excellent player but Gilcrest was legend.
  15. Barwin could go from the last third of the first to the first third of the second
  16. If Ingram is not there then Rogers, Gronkowski, Phillips, Spyder, Pascoe. I would not draft a WR I would sign a Free agent Not Harrison.
  17. I would rather see a 53 man Roster. For those of us that saw them Play Oj, and Gilchrist cannot be ignored. Neither could Pete Gogolak - who revolutionized FG kicking you could make some strong arguments for Ken jones and Paul Costa on the O line. Dubenion and Butler at WR.
  18. I agree that the TE class is deep no need to take one at round 1 or even round 2. There are several good C's but there are several teams that also are looking at C as a high need. Relative to demand C is in short supply. I do agree that this is a weak DE class if we don't pick one in the first round then we will likely have to trade back up to get someone who we value in the late first or second round. In my mind if there is not an option to trade down and assuming that Free agent help will be limited to a RB, WR, S, LB, G the draft sequence that makes the most sense is: 1. DE or Raj. Or a lB who can Rush the passer 2. Center 3. LB or TE 4. TE or LB (the reverse of 3)
  19. Unfortunately it's a very short distance for stupid and immature to convicted Felon. Many good people do very bad things.
  20. Lynch is going to be suspended. Probably by the Bills after a conference with Goodell. That is how it's done. The suspension will be 2-4 games. I will gladly eat my words if it does not happen but sure as heck it will happen. In the long run it will likely be the best thing to happen to Marshawn Lynch, Or Not and If "not" it will be very bad for the Bills but much worse for Lynch.
  21. Generally I agree. But if Raj was there or Curry or one of the DE's that we covet I would take him. There are no offensive players that i would take at 11. If the Bills brain trust is determined to take Pettigrew at 11 then they can spend all of their time between now and the draft worrying about picks 2-7 because not one of the 31 other NFL teams is remotely interested in Pettigrew or any other TE at pick 11 or higher.
  22. I do think that Andre Smith and the two QB's will be there at 11 and some of the higher rated player will be gone. at that point what at first seems like disaster will become opportunity. 11 may be a very desirable place for a trade. The team trading for the 11 th player is not risking top 10 money. Guys like Conner Barwin and Mack or the DE from Georgia Tech might be the best options in a trade down scenario. The Bills need to leverage their assets as best they can.
