  1. You identified the biggest problem that the Bills have. They will embarrass themselves if it is not fixed. I am afraid they will have to cough up a valuable draft choice to plug a hole -- again. It's not the way to build a champion.
  2. Yep look at it objectively. What would it say about the league conduct policy if he did not get suspended? Dude was in a car with 2 other guys with blunts, gun and bullets. Following a hit run incident last year. The only thing good about that is no one got hurt. By the grace of God. The combination of intoxicants and cars or guns is the image that the NFL wants to stop dead in it's tracks. Expecially on the heels of the Burris incident.
  3. Even if he is right, which he is not since we do not have a starting Guard, it does not mean we pick the players in that order. That should be determined by the depth at each position of need, The availability of free agents and the overall quality ranking of players regardless of position. You need to take each and every factor into account. Like the Steelers, and the Pats do. Not like the Bengals, Bills and Niners have done.
  4. I think your draft is as good as any. You are wise beyond your years.
  5. I will eat both of your dog poo stained shoes if he does not get suspended.
  6. Gronkowski Check out his production and his stats and his character. He will sell tickets in Buffalo and give you a better long term prospect on the field. Pettigrew is as good now as he is going to be. Pettigrew would have a tough time out running Jason Peters.
  7. The Bills better not leave anything on the table. Opening Monday and the Pats will be here before you know it.
  8. Actually that is a good thing. Russ Let's get it moving in FA. Lynch will not be on the roster that day you need an OG, a A couple of healthy RB's. A LB and a starting guard. And you need them week number one. Russ You are not likely to get a second chance at GM in this League. And DJ this is the end of the line for you also. It's win this year or else for both of you. Get it done!
  9. I agree that they need to pick up a Running back. Ol and LB are very thin. No problem with the signings to date.
  10. What the Bills need is a situational pass rusher. Let's assume that Kelsay and Schobel are still here and highly paid next year. A Barwin or a is ideal in that role. How about Barwin as a Situational pass rusher at DE or LB? Just move him around and let the other team account for him. Even better he could be a situational TE (the second or third TE)? That would equal one full time player. You get another bonus if you trade down and get an extra second or third round pick to get him. You could even save a roster spot that way. Look at the draft day flexibility you would get. A trade down and draft Barwin effectively yields 5 picks in the first three rounds. How does Barwin at DE , 2 OL and a LB look after the third round is completed?
  11. No higher than a 4th rounder. Those high draft picks are very valuable.
  12. Driver is entitled to his opinion. Why he choose to express it was likely to draw attention to himself.
  13. They have traded back into the first or second round in the past. Denny, POZ, McCargo i think all came that way. I am not sure it has been worth giving up the extra draft pick. I like the trade down more picks scenario than the trade up and fewer pick thing. Our player evaluators are not good enough. They need to have numbers working for them to get a good return.
  14. were not getting rid of Fine. we lost Royal remember? You need 3-4 TE's Right now we have one legit TE and Schouman (spelling) who is really and H back and a bubble player anyway. I would not give up a top 3 pick for this guy though. Too may good TE's in the Draft.
  15. You must be kidding me. The Bills are discretionary dollars I would find other things to do in a heartbeat. Go hunting, shooting more often maybe take up sporting clay target shooting. More Golf Need football? How about College football. I had way more fun watching the Bulls this year. The Bills are totally replacable in my life. The only thing i would miss is the chatting with other fans like on this board and following the draft.
  16. This is a much deeper crop of TE's than last year. There is not a big drop off from the 1st to the 6-7 rated player. The Bills need to do a better strategic job in player personnel both free agents and the drafts. It appears that they are always forced into a corner and reaching to filll needs. The Pats are the opposite of the Bills in this regard. I love their approach to managing the roster.
  17. Sounds like he wants one million for every sack he allowed last year.
  18. Barwin would be an ideal guy to look at in a trade down scenario. Barwin and Mack or Unger in for the Bills first two picks would go a long way to making the Bills a better team. The Bills need 4 players who can make strong contributions this year out of this draft. A trade down at the 11 th pick is the best way to get there.
  19. Plug those guys in as starters and the Bills finish 1-5 in the division.
  20. They execute in the front office. The most important position on the team.
  21. No I am just saying he has not done it effectively. He does not have that great fist step. The Bills already have De's who fail to get pressure why would you add another. It is possible that he can do it but he never has done it. If that is dumb than I am pretty dumb!
  22. Maybe he can rush the passer . the problem is that he never has.
  23. Agreed the teanwon without him in the lineup.
  24. sorry was in a big hurry
  25. Lets pick up an OT and one interior OG. in free agency, Just so our hand is not forced in the draft and we have to reach more that 8-9 players. Peters and his agent can do whatever they want then. Lets shop Peters while we are still negotiating with him. Or tell his agent to go out and seek a trade. If we can work out a deal either way great!. I am sick of being held hostage though. The Bills need to start negotiating from positions of strength and not weakness. That is the difference between the Pats and the Bills.
