Best NFL draft investment is a 2nd-round pick
Trader replied to BillsWatch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They were saying something similar on Sirius NFL channel. talking on Sirrius nfl channel about it - get as many picks from 20 to 50 as you can. -

Unger will be a Tackle in the NFL not a center.

I say we package both of our 1st round picks
Trader replied to BILLS #1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They will not trade up in the first round they will trade down if at all. -
Exactly he is my favorite player on the Bills. He has done everything right came up from nothing has had great production.

You are lumping Fred Jackson with Jason Peters--- ? Shame on you. Fred Jackson did everything that is asked of him and then some. I am done with the Bills if he does not get signed. I will adopt the Steelers. A real NFL franchise. absolutely disgusting!

Ok, It's That Time Of Year Again To Define The Meaning

A reach is when your team selects a player in the draft even if they (your own scouting people) really have other players rated higher than that player. There are big reaches and little reaches. Sometimes a reach is a good idea and sometimes it is not. In and of it self a reach is not a good or a bad thing. Every team does it. If it happens too often, and the reaches are too long it is a sign that the front office is not getting the job done. It is what it is. -
I think the Peters situation will certainly affect the strategy.

Sirrus NFL talk radio reported that the Minnesota Vikings have eliminated 79 players from thier draft board due to, "Character" or "injury" issues. To the best of your knowledge is this what the Bills do as well? Let's say that Pettigrew was a character concern would a team eliminate him from consideration in any round? It makes sense to me that a player could drop a round or two and in a few cases be dropped completely but 79 seems like a lot of players to me. What have you heard as to how the Bills or other teams approach this?

I think you are correct. The Pass rush needs to be addressed. Ayers seems to be the 4-3 DE with good potential and low risk. If Ayers is not there then I think the Bills pass on DE and go to a LB who is known as a very good pass rusher. Matthews would be that pick possibly Barwin. Hopefully in a trade down. Matthews would help in Two areas they need an OLB and he is a great rush linebacker. The next player they could target in round two would be the Richmond DE Sidbury. The addition of Mathews and Sidbury with a Healthy Arron Schobel hopefull will get us some pressure.

Maybe the Bills are seriously considering Pettigrew...

Do you have any problem with his arrest record for Felony Assault? -
RB Travis Henry is facing a mandatory 10 years to life
Trader replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's early in his criminal career. Give him a chance! -
No matter who drafts him. Barwin will take snaps on both sides of the ball.

First a Bills uniform and then a Prison Uniform. It's becoming a tradition! -
My Picks are Ayers DE Ohler OT Matthews OLB - maybe the second coming of Corneilus Bennett Eban Britton OT/OG Alex Mack G/C Bj Raj I can live with any of the above with or without a trade down because I believe that with the exception of Raj they are sterling character and have the talent to be better than average Pro players for a long time and will not be affected by the cash as a number one pick. Raj has some maturity issues. but I think his upside is huge enought to risk it. Absolutely not - Pettigrew not in the first or the 7 th - Character problems and upside not that great. My yeas and nays - what say you?

If your OL is a sieve and your LT allows 12 sacks again then you will get stuffed no matter who you have at those other spots.

Well if he is a bust then we won't miss him when he is suspended for the New England game.

I don't like Jauron's approach to the Peters situation
Trader replied to ColdBlueNorth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do think that is what the approach will be after the Bills draft an OT. -
There are some similarities bettween the U.S and Austrialian histories but there are many more diffences. The U.S. has a much different economic and political system. The U.S. has a much more capiltalistic and free flow of capital. The legacy and lingering effects of slavery and the gap between haves and have nots is more extreme int he U.S. Australia is a relatively unpopulated continent. It is isolated by it's geography. It's borders are relatively easy to control Hundreds of thousands perhaps millions of US. citizens here own and use semi automatic weapons. we shoot in leagues we participate in the government sponsored civilian marksmanship program (yes the U.S. government does encourage it's citizens to be able to shoot straight). Do a million people have to surrender there arms because of less that a 100 deviants a year? Who says they would not just find another way to comit mass murder? We don't deport millions of Italian Americans becaue of 1000 members of the Mafia. We don't put millions of African Americans in Concentration camps because of a few thousand gang members. We don't send 3 million muslims to Gitmo because of the Lackawanna 6. The U.S. is a place where the freedoms are greater and the risks are higher - most of us like it that way.

Sirrius NFL channel was all over this today and they were right with you on this. Potentially Peters is the best LT in the league. At question is Emotional maturity, Desire to play the game, Motivation, conditioning. The negatives outweigh the plusses. The consensus is that he will take the money and run. Peters Career is at a serious crossroads. If the Bills draft an OT tackle number 1. Peters might ride the bench the entire year if he holds out again and we have no reason to assume he will not. Parker -Peters have put Ralph Wilson is in a position to be remembered and reverred by his fellow owners. The drafting or either Ohler, Unger, or Britton. Will put the Bills in the hammer position in negotiations. If Peters shows up two days before the start of the season again the cameras and announcers will be flashing on him on the bench and Parker the whole game and it won't be complementary. Wilson will be a hero in the eyes of the only peers he really cares about his feellow owners. Peters and Parker will look like complete fools the camera will show Peters sitting on the bench during monday night football. The announcers will be talking about Parker and laughing at him. Nice job Parker.

You are beating a dead horse the supreme court ruled on this. It is a right of the People. The constitutional interpretation is that is a collective right of all of the people not of the state. A militia is not similar to the National guard.
-
This all was recently decided by the Supreme court there are forums dedicated to it. Arms means the arms of the day. "The people" is a collective right. "The Militia" is not the National Guard.

If Mayock buys it then so will I.

I will likely watch it but is looks like the Brady bill types in action. Many more people are killed by cars and trucks but we don't ban them. If there were no guns would there be no sensless murder? Or would a madman hijack a semi truck and run it into your kids soccer game? Tim Mcvey didn't need a gun to do the Ok city bombing he did it with fertilizer. We all know what happened on 9-11. The weapon - a razor blade. Are we going to ban them too? I don't think the gun advocates myself included are to be completely off the hook on this though so I don't completely agree with the NRA .. I do think there should be "a well regulated militia" and they should be quitely on the streets every day. What is needed is a well trained auxillary police force.
