Scouts Inc: Buffalo's Weakness
Trader replied to In-A-Gadda-Levitre's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have unknowns at the tackle position would be an accurate statement. It's certainly a question mark and at this stage of development you could say a weakness. The coin gets flipped for real in September and then we will see just what the Bills have and what they don't have. Interestingly enough Levi Jones will not be healthy enough for anyone to sign for a while. They just might catch a break here. If some new guys are ready by the begining of August there is no need to sign him if not then they will have to make a move for someone. -
Fred Jackson, the modern day mature athlete....
Trader replied to VJ91's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has the first three games to showcase his talents I hope he just lights it up! I believe in Fred Jackson! -
Didn't you know today was Fred Jackson Day?

Bills and Freddie Jackson agree on an extension
Trader replied to jrfife22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great news not just good for Jackson and the Bills RB situation. It sends a great message to any UDFA or low round pick that the Bills are a great team to play for. Look at what we have done with these guys: Peters, Jackson, DiGreggorio, Corto. Steve Johnson " you have a real opportunity here". -
Actually what I had in mind was a trade up to do it. On second thought. Most teams would probably not want to trade out of the top ten becuase they enjoy overpaying high risk players so much. :rolleyes

He fired his second agent and rehired his first agent. This guy has problem child written all over him. Nice job Bills front office of nipping a potential problem in the bud.

Pisa is the single best move to be made at this point in the pre season.

Peters sack totals (maybe not that bad)
Trader replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
who knows I think the Peters issue will be resolved this year let's see how it goes with Philly then we will see who is right and who is wrong. -
He looks like a really good match for them!
-
This is what happens to linemen when you give them a contract that sets them up for life.
-
The Bills would have been glad to sign Peters. The value that they placed on him was less than the value he placed on himself. Peters was might have been the most promising RT in the league. I don't think he is a great LT. We will find out this year he has the opportunity to shove it down our throats. We will see. My bet is that the reasons he did not get drafted come to the surface now that his lifetime financial problems are solved. The bills have bigger fish to fry. I am tired of debating his merits. Enough of Peters he is now a Philadelphia problem.

Rams released LB Pisa Tinoisamoa
Trader replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the Bills will take a hard look at this guy. -
If the interior of the line is better than last year and does not collapse in the center than our QB will have the confidence to step up in the pocket and that will help greatly against the speed rush. Someone was circulating a piece of film on Walker on this board where he was beaten to the outside on a rush and gave up a sack. It happened to be one of the few times that the center of the line held their blocks. Edwards did not step up to help the situation and he got sacked. I would suggest that the reason he did not step up is because he lacked confidence in the center of the line. In my opinion the sack might have been avoided if he stepped up in the pocket. Walker can be beaten to the outside but the 3 step drop and help from the center of the line will help them greatly. The offense that they will run is not as demanding on the LT position.

I want him on my team and three years from now so will everyone else.
-
I love the guy I would draft him if we had the chance with our first pick. I would not care what we needed. I would not even care if he played special teams and was a situational player his entire carrer. Tim Tebow is a leader and a winner. He has champion written all over him.
-
If it is Butler than that means that Peters was sub 80% on run blocks combined with his sack total and the fact that his conditioning and football intelligence (or lack thereof ) allegedly prevented us from running the no huddle. How did this guy get voted to the Pro Bowl? and rewarded with a 60 million dollar deal.
-
You can always use a veteran player even if it is on a part time basis but it would mean cutting one of the Bell boys and on my personal fantasy roster both of them are going to make the team.
-
Neither did Peters 11.5 times last year

Bills Think Nelson Can Become A Great Blocker
Trader replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you watch tape of Nelson you will see that he can block and that he has more than enough athletic ability to block. He is just not completely coached up and he is not quite heavy or strong enough to be an exceptional or consistnat blocker. There is tape on him putting Ray Maluga on the ground at the Senior Bowl practice thoug. There are many great players who did not Block. Jim Brown being one of them. If Brown wanted to block he would have been the best in the game. Being a good blocker for most of these guys is about effort. I believe that two years from now Nelson will be talked about as a complete Tight End. -
I also think the MAC get's some very good QB's because good athletes actually get a chance to play and not burried on the depth chart.
-
I think after the bye week you will see Maybin at OLB and DE. Depending on down and distance.
-
I think Walker is going to be ok in the offense they are going to run. He needs to get in better shape to both run the no huddle and play LT or he will be the guy rotating in instead of the starter. I lliked the line that they played with without peters in the pre season and in the first game. I thought the line was worse with Peters in.

So glad we didn't take Pettigrew
Trader replied to SouthGeorgiaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am not a fond of Pettigrew in the first and I am glad we got Nelson but I agree that there is really no need to be nasty about it. Everyone is entitled to his opinion and if we all agreed all of the time the board would be no fun at all. Nelson was my favorite TE in the draft I never thought he would be there in round 4. I knew they could not go TE early. I thought they would have to settle for Pascoe or Gronkowski n the 5th or 6th. -
Brad Butler! debate his merits at guard
Trader replied to billybob's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He also is on the upside of his career. He will be better this year than last year unless he gets nicked. -
If they do a high tempo no huddle they all will see plenty of time. Actually it justifies keeping more OL than normal.
