At first I thought that something was drastically wrong or else Jaron would have announced he was excused from Practice for a personal matter. But that would not be appropirate since you cannot be excused from a voluntary activity. My guess it's a personal problem or an injury or health problem that they want looked at.

Gil Brandt thinks very highly of Ellis maybe we can get TO to talk wiht him?

All you Hamden Lovers should see plenty of him this year

All Walker has to do is stay under 11.5 and he is an upgrade! -
there is a web site called something like "the cool clinic"? all over line play you might want to check it out. Back in the day whey offensive linemen were smaller and more athletic than now. There was a technique perfected by guys like Billy Shaw where the lineman would fire out deliver a blow and then quickly retreat. into a pass blocking stance. I do not see that anymore. In those days linemen were 250lbs not 350 lbs. Truthfully I would like to see the NFL go back to the lineman as athlete. I think these guys are going to have very serious health issues. It's bad enough we lose ex players in their 50's I fear it will be much younger than that.

Are you starting him against New England based on his Junior year at Iowa State before he tore his ACL? -

Hopefully Bowen will help our this year but... Do you really believe that Bowen is going to step in and start against New England on Monday Night? If we have to live with what we have than I want Poz outside and DiGreggorio in the middle. Bowen, Ellison and Harris can fight it out with Corto and Costazso and a couple of UDFA's for the next best guy. Not a very strong cast of reserve linebackers. I could care less about Pisa. There will be other options out there before training camp opens. just for craps and giggles compare the Bills LB's to Pats LB's. It's not a pretty picture. -

Sounds like kool aid sent over from the Bills Front office delivered to John Murphy with his milk. -
It's Official: Pisa agrees to terms with the Bears
Trader replied to billieve420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I respectifully disagree. They offered Pisa a contract. They know they need a vet LB. There are more cuts coming around the league Starting with Da Bears. Pisa is very small for a lB even in a 4- 3. They were not going to break the bank when there are better guys out there. If they go with what they have right now it will be because they are only willing to make the committment to sell tickets but not to win. -
ESPN Insider speculates Pisa to sign with Bears
Trader replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they do the Bears will release Hunter Hillenmeyer LB! 6' 4" 238 lbs . A guy named "Hunter" could be a Bill? I know one ex Bill who would be delighted. -
T.O. living in hotel this season??
Trader replied to extrahammer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely, room service, bar downstairs workout facilities why would he do anything else? I am sure he has a suite and can negotiate a great rate. He is T.0. He would not be the first rich and famous person to do it either. -
Pisa to decide between Bills and Chicago
Trader replied to angrygnome's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If it's the Bears they will cut a guy who I think might be a better strong side prospect. He is a salary cap problem and also is recovering from a sports hernia but I would think he will be ready to play when they strap it on for real. -
Bruce Smith was not very good the first week of training camp either folks.
-
How about Hunter Hillenmeyer at 238 lbs and 6' 4" he is Chicago's Strongside LB currently recovering from Hernia surgery and he would likely be cut if Pisa signs With Chicago. So either we outbid Chicago for Pisa or maybe sign Hunter who might be better size wise if the Bills intend to play him at the strong side Backer? He had a strong 07, injured a lot in 08.

Opinion on Will linebacker entering Camp
Trader replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chandler will all due respect I am really uncomfortable with relying on Bowen. He has never started an NFL game. He was not a day one pick either. -
Assuming that they will actually spend to the cap and that is an unknown at this point. They did not overpay him because they may need to bring in another Left Tackle and they would need to have the cap room to do that. Also it is not likely that they will pay him more that the LB's they have as starters now. I doubt that they think so highly of Bowen and Thomas or Harris to believe they are starting material. If the Bills do not sign a Veteran Linebacker they will have a weakness there at least for the first half of the season perhaps longer. Bowen never played in a regular season game. Your starter on MNF will be Ellison or Thomas.

Exactly what did Eddie Royal catch like 91 passes his rookie year and Hardy caught 19?

A1 or A2 C3 for now Evaluate LT during the period between the start of training camp and the first preseason game.

Who cares about TO. A Paladin is coming to town!
Trader replied to RockPile007's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is tape on him Very strong upper body and athletic with very long arms and huge hands. He has not played a lot of football. He spent his teen years in Croatia. I hope he makes it as well. If the Bills do not sign a veteran Tackle like Jones I think he has a good shot. He was a "prime" free agent no one drafted him but a lot of teams knew about him. He signed with Buffalo because we traded Peters and figured he had a shot here. -
How do we compare to the Jets and Dolphins?
Trader replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that the Bills are the 4th best team in the Division until they prove that they are not. The Bills have Personnel weakneses at LB and OL. They will rely on Rookies and existing veterans (some of whom did not get it done last year) to fill those positons. Maybe the Rookies will rise to the task this year but history says they will not be ready yet. The Glaring problem areas are LB where they are relying on unproven and backup players some of whom are returning from injury. OL is unproven although the interior was addressed in the draft. At LB the coaches have a huge challenge in getting this unit ready to play. They are asking a lot of second day draft picks and undrafted free Agents. There is a lack of veteran talent in both of these area. You have to run the ball and stop the run to win in this division. I think we will be able to run. I do not think we will be able to stop the run with the talent that exists today on this team. At OL the front office gets a bye , there is no one out there that is ready to play. Al LB the front office has more work to do If this team cannot stop the run I am not going to lay all the blame on coaching. They need more run stoppers. -
For his accomplishments as an owner and original founding member of the AFC Ralph Wilson deserves a place in the Hall of Fame. He has had a long career and he has made some huge mistakes (who has not). The only problem i have with Ralph is that I would rather be a stockholder in one of his companies than a fan of his sports team. When he weighs Profit and winning. Profit seem to come out ahead. He has been loyal to Buffalo and Buffalo has been loyal to him.

Does our Defensive Front Seven Cut It?
Trader replied to offde-fence's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think they need a veteran linebacker, Bowen and Digreggio are coming off major injuries. To rely on rookies or Ellison is pure folly. I have been following this franchise since it's inception. With the exception of The Saban and the Polian eras we have always been 1-2 players short of being a relavant franchise. -
Is Corey Mcintyre the worst fullback in the NFL?
Trader replied to Hossage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has an uphill climb to make the team given the RB, TE and OL situation. I think the Bills will go with 4 rb's and Oman will be the 4th. I see them using an H back if they need more blocking or bringing in an offensive lineman. Also there is a free agent TE from Alabama (sound familiar) who is not much of a receiver but has a huge reputation as a blocker.
