  1. Yep I would not count on any high demand free agents coming here under the present circumstances. However if and when the Bills turn it around through great coaching and better talent then you better believe that players will want to come. Remember Takeo Spikes...? He came to Buffalo because he thought the Bills were serious about becoming a champion. If you build it right, They will come cold or no cold.
  2. I would not mind Pike they can beef him up. his big problem is lack of mobility and he goes into a funk when things go wrong. On the plus side he does get hot and when he is on a roll he can do real damage. The reasons I favor LeFevour are that he has better leadership qualities and he is more mobile. I fear for Pike behind the Bills OL. Gailey likes mobile QB's also.
  3. You are absolutely correct. They need to build in the draft right now. In a few years if they can make a run. That is the time to break the bank and go after 3-4 free agents that can put them deep into the playoffs. Right now it's just a waste of time and cash better spent elsewhere. The next two or three years needs to be spent building a solid foundation.
  4. And Syracuse is playing Major College football? Central Mi would have blown them out this year and last year and the year before.
  5. And if Bulaga is not there then Lupati would look good to me in a Bills uniform lined up next to Wood. By the time the combine is over Lupati might be the number one lineman in the draft. And he can play LT or RT or G.
  6. One more thing about LeFevour. He has been consistantly excellent through four years of major college football. He has a complete portfolio.
  7. LeFevour proved he is not a Tebow in the Senior bowl.
  8. That is really unfair. The kid dominated the level of competition he played at all four years he played. He Broke all time scoring records in major college football. He stood nose to nose with the best QB's in the country except the ones that were not picked or were afraid to show up. He comes from a conference that has produced several very successful NFL Qb's. He demonstrates real on field leadership and a storng understanding of the offense with the ability to communicate it to his teamates. He has met every challenge so far. He will be one of the top five QB's taken in the draft, possibly the in top 3. To top it off he is not a California QB that needs perfect weather conditions to be successful.
  9. Put me in the LeFevour camp. I am against trading draft picks for a stop gap QB. I say lets get some Offensive linemen and linebackers or maybe a stong DT. OL is a must. Our pass protection is so bad we don't know how good or bad our QB's are. Trent Edwards got hit so much he looks like he had a lobotomy.
  10. Thanks, I trust you your a Doctor!
  11. http://draftguys.com/ I like the detail that comes through in the player assessments on this site. It's more structured and insightful than most I have seen.
  12. How about Claussen leadership style or lack of it. Isn't he a lot like Rob Johnson?
  13. Like Tom Brady?
  14. The Bills took one in the first in the first a number of years ago and that turned out just fine.
  15. I was on the fence I love New Orleans and it's people. Polian and the Indy Buffalo connection are high on my list as well. Then Greggo opened his mouth. Just when i was starting to respect him there was the air horn again. I am all about Indy now!

  17. Exactly! if Mallett and Locker were available this draft Bradford and Clausen would be your 3rd and 4th choices. It is Likely the Bills will be drafting higher next year. Why? Schobel is likely done in Buffalo. We should trade him for a draft pick. Reed - done, Owens- done. Lynch -is more trouble than he is worth. The Bills are not considered a contender next year. That means that free agents will only come here if they have no options or it's all about cash. We have been there and done that. With any luck the Bills will finish 3-13 to 5-13, Embrace it it may be a good thing! Two or three years of solid prime picks are just what they need. I don't have any confidence in Nix as a real Bill Polian type GM I do have confidence in him as a Gil Brandt type personnel man. Nix may be what the Bills need right now. Chan Gailey will get his opportunity he will show enought to get an extension after 3 years- or not. It's what Nix does as a personnel guru that is the most important thing.
  18. I agree that they have three years. I did not like the hirings but I do believe that it was the best they could do given the cricumstances. I do not want to see drastic panic last minute firings like last year.
  19. TO filled the hole this year and yes there will be another hole when he leaves. The Bills have more holes than one draft can fill. They are handicapped in getting an established receiver because of the lack of a QB. They are handicapped in getting an established QB because of the lack of a LT. If they trade for McNabb I expect him to veto the trade which his status as a vet gives him the right to do. The Bills most effective strategy would be to plan a 2-3 year rebuild through the draft strategy. When they improve they will be more attractive to free agents and players will be more receptive to trades. Our role as fans is to suck it up and realize that they are undermanned and only time and great drafts by Buddy Nix will cure that. We have proven in the past that recruiting mercenary free agents is a formula for disaster.
  20. From Draft Huddle they did a Clausen - Bradford comparison- "The individual record for both quarterbacks vs ranked opponents is eye-opening. Clausen is 0-10 vs. ranked opponents while Bradford is 8-3 vs ranked opponents. In addition to playing more ranked opponents, the average margin of victory over ranked opponents is 23 points for Oklahoma. In addition to this statistic, in 2008, Oklahoma went on a three game stretch scoring over 60+ points vs. the #2, #12, and #13 teams in the NCAA. Clausen and Notre Dame's average loss to ranked opponents is: 15.8 points. Bradford (+)
  21. The Bills should show an interest in Tebow because if he is there in the second round he is not a very big risk. The guy is a football player. If Jacksonville thought the Bills were interested in him in the second they might offer a draft pick to switch spots.
  22. Iaputi is a sure thing he has 10 year pro bowl written all over him. A guard at number 9 is very high but if the Bills managed to trade down you bet I would take him. Not a LT but RT would be fine and he would make your running game get up and go. The Bills are several drafts from being a contender so i would take any great player at the OL, Defensive Front sever or QB spots. It does not look like we will have a shot at a franchise QB worthy of a first round pick so why not Iupati. Again he would be a trade down player for me.
  23. Take him in a heartbeat in the second. He will not start the first year but he will do 10- 12 plays a game in the wildcat and you can even run him in as an H back in the red zone. He will score points.
  24. Murphy kind of implied that in the 6 pm sports.
