  1. I was about to start a nose tackle thread but your post saved me the trouble. I will just hitch on to yours. I agree Kevin Williams is a very good player and I think with some limitations he will be able to play the nose position especially in the transition to a true 3-4 remember the Bills are not going to go to a 3-4 exclusively. The Bills will still need another nose tackle but a little different type who will play on first down and on short yardage situations. This will be a big 330 lb + immovable object like a Ted Washington. What the Bills do not need because of Williams is an every down nose tackle. The big run stuffer is an easier guy to find also. This guy does not have to be a super athletic Sam Adams type. He needs to be big and strong take up blockers and generally stuff it up in there. He does not have to be a great pass rusher either. The Bills should be able to pick up such a player on the second or even more likely the third day of the draft. I expect to see plenty of Williams lined up at the NT maybe even DE Let the Offense look for him.
  2. I love this guys potential but I agree with you he may be back but he will not be 100%.
  3. Not officially but he has a lot to prove don't you agree? He did lose his starting job to a Division 111 product. Narshawn is not exactly on his way to the hall of fame.
  4. I would like this draft. The fans need to understand that the Bills will not fill all of their needs in this draft, multiple drafts will be needed. Every player named here would contribute this year. Tebow in the wildcat or pistol and on short yardage. Edwards likely is the full time QB. They would have to sign a stop gap or use a developing guy at LT. It is possible that Bell could be that guy, He would be below average but he will have to do until the right guy comes along.
  5. I would draft Tebow in the second round
  6. Don't kid yourself if Tebow is there in the second Brandon and Overdorf are not going to miss the opportunity to sell those season tickets in Toronto. Don't worry though he will find a way to be in Jacksonville by then!.
  7. We are on the same page except I am not sure about Skelton. There are questions on Skelton's attitude and work ethic. I would want the Bills to interview him carefully to see if he has the critical intangibles that would give him a chance to be a Tom Brady and not a JP Losman.
  8. Sneed has done nothing this year to get him drafted in the second round. He might be a very good prospect but he will be there 3-5, Maybe lower. It's a bad QB year It seems like teams will be grasping at straws. It's too bad the European league folded would have been nice to see some of these guys develop there.
  9. I would take either one that Nix likes better in the 3rd to the 5th round. No thanks Clausen or McNabb.
  10. Anyone who believes that Tebow will last until the 5th round does not know anything about the business side of football. season tickets are bought before the season starts and Tebow will sell plenty of tickets before his throws his first pass or runs from the wildcat or pistol formations.
  11. I hope your right but here is the problem. The Corners, Safetys LB's and DE's in the NFL are faster stronger and hit a lot harder than they do in college. Hardy is a guy whose primary asset is that he can leap high for the ball and really stretch out for it. A 5 '9" 190 lb DB who Bench presses close to 400 lbs defends by sawing him in half with a face mask to Hardy's sternum or his spine. Hardy might not like to get hit like that. He is not Eddie Royal so he is pretty much defenseless Hardy will not be able to avoid the hit. Hardy will be most effective if he has a sideline or a end zone line behind him and not a guy like Revis who will try to punch his ticket.
  12. You give us a legit QB, the Bills hit on their first 3 picks with starters...walking away with a starting LT, DT, and LB. The Bills are immediately contenders in the East. Gaily can still get his WR, HB, whatever depth he wants later. No they are not a contender. They would sell some tickets though. McNabb would be this years T.0. At the most they win 5-6 games just enough to put them out of the running for the best two QB's in next years draft. This team is more than one successful off season from being relevant in the nfl.
  13. Tebow and and LeFevor are similar players and both of them are going to have NFL careers. Tebow is going to be drafted in the late first or second round and Lefevor is going to be drafted in the third or 4th round. I have no problem at all with The Bills taking Tebow in the second or Lefevor in the 3rd.
  14. And Belicheck loves Tebow!
  15. Perhaps, but if I have to watch him in a Dallas uniform playing in the Super Bowl 3 years from now I am not going to be a happy fan. If the Bills have an outstanding draft and sign some good UFDA's they might wind up with 3 new starters and a 4 rookie back ups. They have more holes than can be filled with conventional thinking. They will need talent from everywhere the CFL just might provide some additional help.
  16. http://www.riderfans.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1711083 Offensive Tackle Bell had a very good season after becoming a starter with the Roughriders in the CFL last year. they were in the Grey Cup Championship. His speed and his commitment was obvious to the fans. I would like to see this guy back in Buffalo Bills uniform because I think he will be in the NFL sooner or later. The Bills are going to have to get players anywhere they can and this guy was a free agent the last time I looked.
  17. You forgot that Wood is trying to recover from a major injury. I agree but I am embracing this as an opportunity to completely rebuild. With smart draft choices and strategic free agent signings. New Orleans was a disaster not too long ago. The Bills need a complete rebuild - the right way no short cuts. If they take that path then 2-14 is ok with me.
  18. Nice work now I know why my car insurance keeps going up!
  19. Part of the TE production is related to the OL being so weak The TE needs to at least chip the rusher or has total blocking responsibility to give the QB any time to throw at all.
  20. Or sell a lot of season tickets.
  21. Time to move on with Schobel if he came back his heart would not be into it.
  22. Perhaps. Or maybe the Bills would like Jacksonville to think that they will draft Tebow at number 9. Just for the record I think Tebow will be a very good NFL player even if he does not play QB and I am not so sure he won't be a championship QB. I will admit to not having the qualifications to make that call. Also the Bills need to create excitement and sell tickets next year. Who better than Tebow? Who else could do it? Tebow could be the 2010 T.O.
