Keep youur eye on JJ Watt DE Wisconsin - Next game Rose Bowl against TCU. He will wreck havoc in that game.

The O line is better than earlier this season but not by as much as you think. The Tight End is completely out of the passing game because when they do use one he is helping to block. I think that Bell needs to continue to improve or I would still be seeking two tackles for next year. Last week when he really needed to give his QB 2 seconds Bell was eaten alive.

Do you think the Buffalo Bills are going to pay Andrew Luck 80 million dollars?
-
The Buffalo Bills ownership team may never let Nix make another decision after this one.

No question he was a gentleman and a real team player. They had a great Offense with Braxton and OJ and a very good OL. They needed a linebacker. The Bills front office put all their cash into OJ and would not sign one of the big names that were available. Ferguson did have a bad habit of hanging his head after an int. He threw lasers and he was very accurate most of the time. He was a quiet guy and most prople really liked Joe Ferguson.

I agree with your analysis 100%

The Bills do not have a good enough offensive line for Mallett. He would not last a game here. I would rather have Cameron than him. If not luck then go Offensive line or a great front 7 defensive player.

Our thoughts on Ryan Fitzpatrick before this season
Trader replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that Fitz has been huge. I still would like to see the Bills draft a youngster perhaps a Cam Cameron type let him develop slowly behind Fitz for the next couple of years. I don't think they have to pick a QB very early in the first round either. I would like to see a great pass rusher or a Stud OT. -
Reality check about yesterdays game...
Trader replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills keep playing like they did on Sunday they will not be picking in the top five this season. Congrats to them them were fun to watch just got a couple of bad breaks. They outplayed an elite team. -
With the first pick in the 2011 draft the Bills select....
Trader replied to DC Grid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they draft Mallett they will need great linemen because Mallett cannot get out of his own way. Personnally I like luck, Lockett or Cameron better than Mallett. -
What happened to "Monday Morning Quarterback" with Buddy Nix?
Trader replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe he does not want to answer questions because he has limited control of the franchise? -
What Happens when Ralph Wilson dies ?

Rookie contracts next draft if there's a lock out
Trader replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for pointing out the Yahoo article it does contain scenarios that I have not considered and it appears to be well researched and well written. What I wrote does not conflict with the Yahoo story. I took it to the next step which is the poison pill-anti trust strategy. The Yahoo story does make brief reference to that strategy but does not deal with it. I believe that the reason they don't is that they believe (probably correctly) that a deal will be made prior to going to the extreme strategies. My point was to illuminate that the Union has tools at it's disposal that will make this a very difficult negotiation which will entail a lot of brinksmanship and will go down to the wire and perhaps beyond. The owners are not holding all the cards here. -
Yep, if they keep drafting like they have been drafting they will finish ahead of the Bills for the next 5 years.

Rookie contracts next draft if there's a lock out
Trader replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"the system and rules that are in place" Are no longer in place if the union adopts it's poison pill strategy which is why each team has voted independently to decertify the union. If there is an impass in negotiations and that is a big if I admit. The Union can take those votes to the NLRB and decertify. At that point there is no union. Pro Football is not exempt from the Sherman Anti Trust Act. The league would not be able to fix contracts for rookies or for that matter tell them where they can or cannot play. It would a combination in restraint of trade. The top rookies and their agents would sue the league. End of Draft. -
Rookie contracts next draft if there's a lock out
Trader replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok I will play along with your logic. Let's take it to the next step. What happens when the Bills Draft Locker and He says, Gee I don't want to play there. -
Rookie contracts next draft if there's a lock out
Trader replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There may be rookie contracts in effect but the Draft may be illegal if there is no union and no CBA. The only thing that makes the NFL Draft legal is that it is part of a union contract. Without a union or a contract the entire draft will be subject to court review. An NFL draft would have no legal grounds it would be like Google and Microsoft drafting seniors out of MIT. All it will take is one player who says, "I don't want to be drafted by the Bills, I want to sign with the Giants". The whole thing will fold like a house of cards. -
Okay so do we need to trade Lee Evans now?
Trader replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I fully expect Evans to go to Gailey and Nix and request that he be traded to a contender if not this year than next year. I believe that Evans heart is no longer with this team. -
Lynch had to go but this is a horrible trade. I was on the bubble with Nix prior to this trade but now I am incensed. They could have got a 4th for him during the off season. I have Zero faith in the Bills front office. The only thing they know how to do is sell tickets for an awful team. They will be in 4th place in the AFC east until they leave town. This is the second worst trade in the history of the Buffalo Bills.

Nicks is ok with me too, Stevie that is.

Who will own the 1st overall pick in 2011?
Trader replied to billnutinphoenix's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unfortunately it will be a very long time before the number one pick actually dons a Bills uniform for training camp. Ralph Wilson -littman - Overdork will be the leading negotiations for the league. It's a scary thought.
