  1. It is possible that his heart ailment is both temporary and while imediately life threatening could be cured with time and rest. A relative of mine had an inflamation of the lining around his heart (Pericardium) which was caused by a virus. He completely recovered but it took months and he was not a professional football player. The inflamation caused an irregular heartbeat and looked like a heart attack and it could have killed him. The reason I speculate that it could be something similar is that Easley went thourgh extensive physical exams in the last few years this must be something that just recently developed. My guess is that he will be back next season. The Bills, if they are serious need to go out and sign someone who can give them a year Martin is not the answer.
  2. Not only are the Bills incompetant at the top half of the draft thay aren't lucky either.
  3. Jackson looks huge next to Spiller. With the power he ran with today If I did not know better I would guess him at 220.
  4. 1. The offensive line was shockingly good. 2, Tight End 2 TD and other big time plays. 3. Run D 4. Fred Jackson running with more power than I ever noticed before. Did he get bigger in the off season? He looked about 220 to me.
  5. To Each his own but personally I would not wear anyone's jersy but my own.
  6. The Bills may be On to something quite innovative here. They have assembled a bunch of huge offensive linemen who are not particularly gifted athletically. Wood and Levitre and perhaps a still developing Bell being the exceptions. They have also elected to go with TE's who are better blockers than receivers. The Tight ends are designed to help out the Tackles who may never perfect the kick slide. Levitre can move to LT on days when Bell gets beaten by the speed rushers. None of these guys should ever demand top LT money. But in the cold in Buffalo in November and December and perhaps January when you need to run the ball and depend on quick short drops this is an innovative approach that with a great defense and the addition of a Big running back could get you deep into the playoffs. What's missing? a great QB (of course that will always work). how about a great power back Remember when the Redskins destroyed the Bills in the Super bowl with that huge O line and just an average QB? They actually ran all over the whole league that year, If this is what the Bills are thinking then I am all for it. We should see some progress late in the year if it is going to work. We will have to wait a season or two for that power back but we have some ok guys in the meantime.
  7. That Sestak guy in your profile was once a diamond in the rough also. He turned out Ok. I will give the Bills credit here. They should be bringing in guys weekly. I never understood what they saw in Martin anyway.
  8. Actually this is not a surprise at all. I am not sure what he was doing on D to begin with since he was an offensive lineman and a very dominant one at his level his senior year.
  9. I do think they are better than they were last year. The more important question is are they better relative to the teams in the AFC East. That question will be answered by mid November.
  10. Levy new book features a meddleing incompetent owner. I wonder who that is?
  11. I agree we need to take a look at these hometown boys!
  12. I wonder who that is?
  13. Very best scenario 9 wins (very doubtful) Very good Scenario 8 wins - I will take it in a heartbeat if you offered it to me right now. Could be a good scenario 7 wins if they split with teams in our division. Anything less is a serious setback. What I expect is 5 wins or less.
  14. I will bet that Parish is going to be cut. There are at least 3 guys who can play that position, Roscoe is also injury porne and highly compensated for what he does and we all agree that this is a thrifty organization to put it in a positive way. Shawn Nelson is also going to be cut but that should not surprise anyone.
  15. "before his injury" is the key phrase here. Roscoe is a very small guy. Not like short small, like slight small.
  16. He still would not make the team. Jasper needs a ear or two on the practice squad and then he might have a chance.
  17. Ha I can't believe that you don't know that! Martin Ruvell is the guy who wrote Bolero the theme song from the movie 10.
  18. My only problem with Jackson is that he should have tried to deal with this with his coaches before going outside. I assume he did not do that if he did than I owe him an apology. Nix has done very little right in this organization in terms of adding talent. Darius was a no brainer he was the best on the board. Merriman right now is his big success if Spiller turns out to be average or below it's the first strike on him. Sullivan was right the Spiller promotion was all about trying to make the new regime look good. My feeling is that Nix pushed hard for it and Gailey went along against his better judgement. The management of this team above Gailey is looking worse with every passing day.
  19. I expect that just prior to the regular season starting we will hear for Bills management that ticket sales have reached a critical low level and that many games are in danger of a blackout. I also expect that such message will be accompanied by implied negative consequenses of continued weak sales.
  20. omg Is Bell out as the starter? Did Gailey compare the situation to the QB last year? On the eve of the season opener he just found out that his LT cannot play. The sky is falling!!!
  21. No problem here with that ranking.
  22. It's what I expected. But I wanted to be wrong. Buddy and his scouts have work to do. I really thought the Bills receivers would do better than they did. They need another vet. or a good TE pass catcher. I hope Merriman will be back soon. The Bills D is much better when he is in the line up.
  23. Yep Gailey to Nix loud and clear. Get some OL help ASAP. They don't have any developmental players on their roster that are so talented that it would be a problem to replace them with better players. The Bills need to get one Tackle and one Guard with more quality experience than is on the roster now.
  24. Nix has got subtraction down pat It's the additions that will make the Bills a better team. At the end of the day the additions have to exceed the subtractions in order to have a good team. The Bills have not excelled at signing good players faster than they lose them. The jury is very much out on the Nix regime.
