  1. Agreed. Gronk is already in the record book. He layed it all out on the field, He tried for the "hail Mary" but he could not push off on that ankle. I don't care what he does in his personal life and neither should any of you. He is young, rich and single and you only go through life once. He can date whoever he wants.
  2. Didn't the Bills draft Thurman Thomas in the second round during Polian's regime? I do recall that the entire league passed on Thurman in the First round because of his knee injury. I think that the seond round is an ideal place to take a player who would have been a first rounder but for an injury that is now healed. Actually the Bills did fairly well with Thurman on their roster as have the Pats with Gronk.
  3. When your married to a hot blooded Brazillian super model your bad days are probably offset by some very good nights lol.
  4. We can throw in Torrell Troupe for good measure!
  5. She can stand up for me anytime!
  6. Mercilus, Reiff Martin Adams Couples You can make a good argument for Ingram here as well. If the Bills stick to this list I don't think they can screw the first round up. Trade down for another top 3 pick always works for me as well.
  7. The same people who booed would fall all over themselves trying to shake his hand if he showed up at Sestak and Mcguires place.
  8. Your right aboutr Dawson he did get it right against the Vikes that was also a great game and a big reason why he is a HOF guy.
  9. Dawson had his chance to beat the NFC. He looked like Jim Kelley in the super bowls he played for the Bills. By the way a guy named Vince Lombardi was a huge fan of Joe Namath.
  10. Because he got the crap beat out of him the last time he played here and he heard the fans in the stands. Don't be so sensitive people have been making fun of Buffalo since the vaudeville days who cares. By the way Brady is one of my favorite players.
  11. Do we have any leverage to get MW? Does he show any interest in signing here? Perhaps VJ does? If you can't be with the one you want sometimes you have to take the one you can get. Now where did I here that before?
  12. True enough, It is also important to understand that most fans were either NFl fans Or AFL fans. The big threat to Football in Buffalo was that the entire AFL would fold. Most fans were Bills fans but they also rooted for whatever team the AFL champion in the Super bowl put up against the NFL.
  13. Earl Morrall was the MVP of the NFL that year. Unitas, who was Namath's idol by the way, was past his prime. It was Rocky Marciano vrs. Joe Louis. Also the Jets ran the ball the entire 4th quarter Namath wanted.. to he trusted his D. Unitas threw a TD pass but he also threw an interception. The jets got ahead and ran the clock. I have no doubt that if the two teams played 100 times the Colts would have won more, the jets were 17 point dogs no one who knew anything about football gave them a chance. In the fourth quarter of tthat Super Bowl it was not about statistics, it was about emotion and momentum. The AFL had been eating the NFL crap for a lot of years when the Jets got the bit in their teeth and ran over one of the greatest defenses of all time. The Colts were late for the party. It's history and it's in the book.
  14. I would not hate any one of these players at pick 10. None of them were invisible during the Senior bowl. Regarding Upshaw's sack of Wilson, that guy is one of the the toughest QB's to sack in college or pros. If the Bills land Coples, Upshaw or Ingram and if Coples continues to play like he did during the Senior Bowl (questionable) then they will no longer be called a "soft" defensive team. Upshaw has Ray Lewis like leadership skills.
  15. Like I said Mercilus might be drafted in the late first or early second round.
  16. Yeah, It's so not about stats. I guess you had to be there.
  17. I agree with your analysis the big man that stood out was Adams. Couples and Upshaw were both good but Adams shut both of them down. i don't know that there are any pure great pass rushers in this draft. I would not mind Adams (LOT) at pick 10. This is the kind of draft that you might get a player at #27 that is as good or better than the player you draft at #10.
  18. I agree with you. The Pats are the road map to NFL success. Every team blows draft choices they can afford to bat .500 and still be successful. They can affod to take flyers on a boom bust player. They deal from a position of strength every year. They have a great owner and front office. I wonder how many of the critics that have posted here wanted Ryan Mallett as a QB. By the way Gronkowski who grew up in the Bills back yard is on his way to becoming the greatest Tight End in History. Hernandez is better than any Tight End the Bills have had in history, I would take Nate Solder over any Bills Offensive lineman. Would you rather have Tyler Thigpen or Ryan Mallett as your back up QB? Nix is right on about one thing he is not the smartest guy in the room that guy lives in New England.
  19. I will admit to only seeing the recap on the NFL channel and then of course you only see highlights. Ingram did look good, I did not think he looked better than Upshaw. Body type wise they are pretty close. When we evaluate player it is important to see strengths and weaknesses then as the follow up question ask, "Will this player be able to use his strength to overcome his weakness at the next level? Upshaw may not have super speed but he uses his core strength and balance to defeat his opposition. Couples is not exceptionally fast but he uses his length to gain leverage. The bills could wind up with Ingram because I have seen drafts where Couples and Upshaw are gone by 10. I have not seen any drafts where Ingram is gone at 10.
  20. I don't agree with your analysis of Upshaw who I think could play DE, OlB MLB (4-3). I would really like to see Upshaw as a classic MLB in a 4-3. I think he would be a tackling machine. Half London Fletcher/Half Ray Lewis.
  21. Thank you, very interesting stats!!!
  22. I could live with Reiff but I really like Upshaw here. I am afraid Upshaw may climb on the boards after the Senior Bowl though.
  23. Morality aside. It's a banned substance and when detected it gets the player suspended. You would think he would not put himself in this position. Kirkpatrick showed very poor judgement and lack of maturity it will likely drop him out of the first round. GM jobs are tough to come by a GM is not going to put himself in the position of being raked over the coals if the guy screws up again. It's about the politics of it not the morality.
  24. I hope we did not pass on Clay Mathews because he did not make it to 6'4".
