  1. I know this is a difficult subject I have been a Bills fan as long as there was an AFC. Looking at the demographics of Western New York I do not believe the franchise is viable post Ralph Wilson without successful regionalization into the Toronto market. The Bills will need to sell more tickets at higher prices to stay here. What name and or other tactics would you give to a team that would be inclusive to the Ontario market and not lose the Rochester and Syracuse markets? I would like to see a Shoulder patch on a new uniform or a helmet decal that uses the crossed U.S. and Canadian Flags similar to the one we use on youth hockey garb. Using the word "Niagara" certainly is a possiblity the "Niagara Power" is a start but I would like to see some other ideas especially from Canadians who will need to embrace this team if it is to stay here. I know this is heresy to many fans who are attached to the Bills as am I and I certainly understand your issues with it but I do not think the status quo is really an option post Ralph.
  2. The Bills have several promising Tight Ends and HBacks now. I do think that they cannot afford to carry Cory M. The offense has evolved the kicking game specialist needs are downgraded. If any of these back up tight ends show promise Mcyntyre is done here.
  3. Kudos to the Bills organization for mostly avoiding these types of situations. I am delighted that they did not get Blackmon, I am happy that they passed on Floyd. I am pleased that they took Darius over Fairly and that they did not draft Kirkpatrick.
  4. Jordy Nelson was also my favorite guy in that draft. I do recall getting laughed at for wanting him over the others. What is it they say about the last laugh?
  5. I don't know what Tom Brady did or did ot do to imporve his arm strength. The rap on him coming out of college was that he did not have a strong enough arm. Idon't think anyone would argue that now.
  6. Can't keep Thig and Young the total salary would be 4.5-5.5 million in backup QB's. Not going to happen
  7. Great link, it is interesting to note that when they asked Nix about drafting a TE he gave a quick ..NO! It looks like they are pretty happy with the guys they have in camp. Onobun, Chandler and Smith could be the reasons for that answer.
  8. That is interesting because I watched coverage of the Senior Bowl and Mayock was praising Glen's work at Tackle. In fact he stated that, "none of the pass rushers beat Glenn in practice". Also Glenn converted to LT. There is supposedly a big improvement between his early and late film. My guess is that thery are going to have Glenn come in at 320 -330 weight range he had two differnt strength and conditioning coaches and they differed at the weights they wanted him at. Only time will tell where he is going to play but he is going to play.
  9. Floyd certainly could happen and Kendricks could happen but Jonothan Martin slipping to the 41st pick would defy recent history since he is a LT and that is the most drafted position in the first round. I woulod take two out of the three.
  10. Obviously if there is any doubt at all about Williams, Cox, Poe or Brockers will be in play at 10. But even if K Williams is able to contribute from game one Cox is still a great idea. The Giants proved how a great D line can make you a title contender. The key to a great pass rush is having good pass rushers who you can bring in waves. You can have London Fletcher type backers and Drayton Florence type corners if you can get enough pressure from your front four.
  11. Fletcher Cox he will play strongside DE or DT. I have liked him for a while and I just read on the Buffalo Bills NFL draft site that he fits this defense. He is the best pass rushing DT in the draft and he could be the BPA at pick 10 he has also been a visitor to one Bills drive.
  12. I think that you have made a good effort here. I do think that with ten picks they will draft a QB mid or late.
  13. Nice list thanks!
  14. Wow 7-13 all look very good to me. Brandt is not just another wag he ranks with Casserly and Mayock as an evaluator of talent. Interesting that he has Floyd ahead of Blackmon. If they do not get a Tackke at 10 they might have to trade up later to get a decent LT. I am thinking the Second or late first. I like the trade down option best but any player between 7 and 13 would be a heck of a consolation. Also keep in mind that there will be good wideouts in the second or third rounds but I do not believe that the LT prospects will be left.
  15. That is a very good point and I do not think the Spiller comparison applies. Spiller was squeeky clean. Floyd has a problematic history and would require a substantial vetting prior to his being drafted.
  16. Mychal Kendricks lit up the combine Pac ten Defensive player of the year. He will drop because he is under 6 feet tall. combine wt 239 under a 4.5 40 with great short shuttle broad jump and high jump numbers He looked like a cornerback in the pass coverage drills.
  17. I like Gilmore better than Kirkpatrick. I just hate taking corners in the first. I would interview Floyd. I think this draft is more common than not. A draft where there is not a clear cut pick at 10. This is why you have scouts and you have to trust their judgement.
  18. I like Glen as well but I will defer to Nix on this one since I am far from expert here. Glenn could get beat on the outside speed rush but he is huge and you still have to run around him and his long arms. I think Fitz is agile enough to not get too bothered by an outside rush. All QB's have the most trouble when pressure comes up the middle and they can't step up. I would tell my tackles if they are going to get beat make sure it's outside and not inside.
  19. Some guys don't get their max strength until later in thier career. The combine arm strength test is also not the greatest predictor of success for a lot of positions.
  20. I agree that Mayock is the best, but neither he or Nix are infallable either. Mayock also tends to rank Boston Collge players a little higher than most.
  21. Daniels? has a noodle arm. Russell wilson has larger hands than Andrew Luck and he has a stronger arm than Andrew Luck. I watched Luck's workout at his pro day and the commentators all said that Luck did not have an exceptionally strong arm but that it was good enough. Luck does have great anticipation but make no mistake Wilson has an arm comparable to RG111 who has better arm strength than Luck. There is not a chance in heck that Wilson goes undrafted. I agree I would use one of our 4th round picks on him. Wilson is the kind of player who can come off the bench and win a big game for you like a playoff game, or even that one they hold at the end of the year.
  22. I really like a trade down option here. The players that you listed could all be nice prospects for the Bills. I really like Cordy Glenn who might be the second or third best OL in the draft and who can play tackle as well as guard. In addition to the players you listed there are some outstanding second and third round options for the Bills. It would be great to have two first's or an extra second or even another third round draft pick. Beyond the first few picks that are not many sure things in this draft but as is often the case there are a ton of outstanding prospects would would be a lot of fun to watch on the Bills roster.
  23. I am all in on him. mid or late round draft pick.
  24. He looks like is at 340 or less.
  25. I would not hate this pick. I do think he will be a vey good pro. I could also live with Dontari Poe here or Floyd/Hill. I do think they will need an OT if Bell moves on. I really would like to trade down too.
