  1. Am I the only one who can see the link on the bottom left hand corner of my browser before I click it?
  2. Scott Chandler ‏ @scottchandler84 Reunited and it feels so good!!! Blessed to be back with the Bills! Nowhere else I want to be! Thankyou Lord for this opportunity! Scott Chandler ‏ @scottchandler84 Thankyou to the Bills front office and fans for all your support!! Let's get this thing rolling! #BillsMafia
  3. Probably money and the fact that they're putting most of their eggs in the RG3 basket.
  4. They are rooting for Manning to go anywhere but Washington or Miami, assuming one of them gets Flynn. As long as one of the two and Cleveland are still in it they will be fine.
  5. He was traded to Kansas City.
  6. Exactly. And I'm not sure if they even do it this soon if they didn't agree to that stupid bonus in the contract.
  7. Not really. He didn't look over the hill the last time he actually played. If the doctors clear him there is no reason to think he can't get at least near the level he played at in 2010. I was talking more along the lines of guys who literally get cut, say during a season because their play had disintegrated so badly. Particularly for a franchise guy like him this seems pretty unprecedented.
  8. Has there ever been an athlete this big that was outright released by his team? Not counting over the hill guys or malcontents or anything like that.
  9. It all depends if Pittsburgh can maneuver the cap around to match any offer. Remember the new CBA eliminated those "poison pill" contracts that allowed a team to offer incentives and other things to finagle the cap numbers so a team couldn't match their offer.
  10. Because I am a shameless promoter here is my blog with my thoughts on the signing: http://evonsports.wordpress.com/2012/03/05/buddy-nix-is-changing-the-blueprint-in-buffalo/ Needless to say I think this changes the way the Bills are viewed in a lot of ways. I think Buddy's gone a long way to distinguish himself from past regimes.
  11. How long has it been since we've gone into a draft not needing to address holes that the front office opened up by not retaining players?
  12. Would likely be a fine if anything.
  13. Harrison was the only thing close to a big name free agent in that bunch. All those other guys were mid-tier signings.
  14. ESPN doesn't pay Adam Schefter over a million dollars a year to be wrong. He said that they negotiated aggressively throughout the day and expect to have a deal done by tomorrow. Stevie probably got bombarded by fans' tweets saying it was a done deal and assumed another hack reported it.
  15. Guys like Schefter don't go to print with misinformation.
  16. I think he meant the Bills were planning to use the franchise tag if they didn't come to an agreement so Stevie took the offer cause he thought it was relatively fair in the end. The same thing basically happened with Marshawn earlier tonight.
  17. I kind of feel like SJ's camp is trying to call Nix's bluff of placing the franchise tag at the eleventh hour if they can't get a deal done. I'm not sure if he's bluffing though.
  18. Still with the big name free agents. I just don't get it. There is A LOT of evidence that says that signing big name free agents gets you nowhere. I figured we'd all learn our lesson after we signed Takeo Spikes, Sam Adams, and Lawyer Milloy all in the same off-season and that got us absolutely nowhere.
  19. That's only for players with less than 4 years of service time.
  20. Threat of the franchise tag being used.
  21. The media has been very quiet on this all week as well. Neither a pessimistic nor an optimistic report. Almost no news at all since Sunday.
  22. Not that it may matter...I can see Claiborne going before our pick anyway.
  23. So since you used logic you took the average of the past 2 years of Stevie's career rather than all 4 and multiplied by 2 right? Since he was buried on the depth chart by the previous coaching regime during his first two years and that's not going to happen again. That would work out to 486 catches over 8 years which is a little over 100 more than Evans catch total over 8 years. Even if Stevie missed what amounted to a whole season due to injury he'd still be more productive over the same time period. The thread is about re-signing Stevie Johnson. We should sign him because he's been very productive since he was inserted into the lineup. Not sure what Lee Evans numbers has to do with it either way honestly.
  24. Two questions 1) Who couldn't wait to get rid of him? I remember that trade being met largely with disdain around the fan base. 2) Why are you talking like a guy drafted in 2004 and a guy drafted in 2008 should have similar career numbers?
  25. Not quite sure what this has to do with Stevie's contract?
