  1. Well on the bright side we could have had Trent try to throw it into the wind on 3rd down and saved NE the timeout.
  2. I don't think it matters since NE touched it after Leodis.
  3. So is there any way the refs can screw us out of this call?
  4. You mean New England...
  5. That was pathetic. Even Jauron was yelling at the refs.
  6. Jackson's running hard early...
  7. Kill the Patriots.
  8. What about Bobby April? Just throwing it out there...that we we can keep some of the same systems in place.
  9. They missed them in 2002, the year after their first Super Bowl win.
  10. Haha...I'm not sure if Phil Hansen is in game shape these days.
  11. Probably...the wind will be a factor so I'm assuming we can at least stop their running game once for a punt.
  12. Exactly because the rest of our defense's talents are on par with the Ravens. Do some of you people honestly think that every player in the NFL plays on an island and are automatically good or bad based on their statistics? You hoenstly don't think a Donte Whitner would play circles around a Jim Leonhard next to Ed Reed and behind Ray Lewis and co.?
  13. OK...since everyone likes to compare our deficiencies to NE's superiority, how many lazy players on the Pats have held out into a season since Belichick became coach? I can think of one - Deion Branch, and he was shipped off before he could say "Show me the money".
  14. Haha as a guy living in Boston I love the people complaining about it. It's not their money plus the Yankees haven't won anything since they started spending like crazy (I think Mussina was the one who popped that cherry).
  15. Bryan Scott was actually pretty highly touted coming out of PSU...If I recall correctly I think he was even a first day pick and a former starter for the Falcons. I was a little surprised when I saw he was on the streets for us but obviously I am not complaining about it now.
  16. I have a question - if you had to cut one of either Peters or Whitner tomorrow who would you? I can see the reasoning behind defending Whitner. We've been watching so many zombies lumbering around the football field for 10 years that when we see a guy who shows some tenacity and leadership we kind of cling to them. If Peters had half the heart that Whitner had then he would be a perenial all pro with a fat contract. And I am by no means vindicating the play of Whitner for the most part, although I don't think that he is close to as bad as some people here are making him out to be. As a matter of fact I find the people who rip him for not being able to cover Coles or Marshall and then citing the fact that he was supposed to be able to line up at CB if need be, to be a little silly. If you can cover a Laverneus Coles or a Brandon Marshall man to man then you are starting at Cornerback for an NFL team. Donte Whitner isn't a starting Cornerback in the NFL the last time I checked. But I'd like to see more from him, a lot more.
  17. Ummm...it's a list of former first round picks. I'm not sure how he doesn't belong on the list?
  18. Nah, Hardy is smart enough to only do things like that at family parties...
  19. Jackson's the man...definitely a Kevin Faulk quality about him...if there is one priority this offseason in giving one of our guys a new long term contract it should be him...to hell with Peters...
  20. Again...my point isn't that I'm sold on Edwards. My point is wouldn't it be a prudent move to sign a veteran backup to cheaper money and less years (Griese, Kerry Collins, et. al) than throwing a boat load of money and a long term contract to a guy who just sat on the bench for seven years before cracking the lineup oh a 16-0 team with as soft a schedule as you can get? Like I said, if there is a Drew Brees type guy out there by all means break the bank. This guy ain't no Brees.
  21. I don't want to make an argument between Edwards and Cassel because that's not really the argument. The argument is whether or not Cassel is that much of an upgrade over Edwards that you tie so much money into the QB position when you have greater needs. I think the answer clearly is no...I'd have to see more from Cassel before I signed that guy to a big deal. I think it's pretty obvious. It's not as black and white as your argument. He doesn't have the track record of a Drew Brees, who we absolutely should have pursued, but the numbers, salary wise, will probably be similar. To me, it's not worth it.
  22. C'Mon. I know it's cool around here to rip on the Bills and say the Pats are perfect at everything and we would only be so lucky to be as well run as them and while msot of that is true this is sorta getting ridiculous. How many Cassel threads is this now in the past few days? People are talking about this guy like he's the second coming. Let's say that Arizona and Denver lose next week for the sake of argument, that means that the Pats will have played 6 teams with winning records this season. Their record? 2-4. Are you really gonna throw the farm at a guy who has that record? And did you see their game against PIT? He looked like Losman. No thanks.
  23. Denver is not exactly a powerhouse...they are only a game better than us at this point...
  24. It's too much of a risk to slap the franchise tag on Cassel. If no one bites then they are on the hook for 14 million for their back-up QB. If this was going to happen, they would have been better off if it happened a year ago. But that may have been a moot point because I doubt that Cassel has this much success against a tougher schedule.
  25. I believe that the Jets would win in a three way tie scenario...not like I prefer any of them.
