  1. Chris Brown tried to claim we'd be at about 25 million come free agency
  2. You know, in hindsight, we got a pretty good haul for a back-up running back...
  3. Weren't they doing cash to cap when they signed Dockery, etc.? Not like it matters, we should be looking at middle level guys to fill holes and try to find our impact players through the draft. That's how the Steelers, Pats, and Colts do it...you know, those guys who make the playoffs year in and year out...
  4. I think that you missed the point of my post...in my situation, Ralph is no longer the owner.
  5. I'll put any amount of money down that at this point next year Ralph Wilson is not the owner of the Buffalo Bills...
  6. But on the other hand if Ralph turns wise and decides to do the right thing and sell it himself before he passes then Buffalo could then be a "perfect situation".
  7. I know it's a little earlier to look at the '07 and '08 drafts but as a snap judgment I would say Levy/Brandon etc. has done a pretty decent job finding some really solid players in the late rounds. If Whitner ever turns that corner they would have three really impressive first picks as well, assuming Lynch and McKelvin continue to develop at the rate that they have so far.
  8. If he doesn't then there is something seriously wrong...
  9. Yukota 'Ko' Simpson(S) $0 $567,970 $0 $0 $0 Not exactly millions...
  10. I know Fewell isn't going anywhere but I think that he's still a bit raw and could use an experienced guy on his staff. I think that guy right now is supposed to be Jauron but he is too busy making sure Schonert runs his shoddy game plan. Mangini would also likely require a switch to the 3-4.
  11. I read recently that Miami or Buffalo might be interested because of his knowledge of NE. While it makes sense, Jauron is apparently all set with upgrading the coaching staff. I'd take him or even Herm Edwards if he became available to help Fewell along.
  12. Dockery is also likely uncuttable so early in his contract...and what's the obsession with getting rid of Schobel? He's obviously much better than Kelsay and he would likely be rather productive with a top notch pass rusher opposite him.
  13. You have heard of cap hits right? I'm sure we'd take a mighty one with Kelsay and Schobel combined. One of them stays, no reason to cut Schobel when you are not going to get two top notch DE's in one offseason.
  14. Maybe the real question ise were they his decisions?
  15. He's got us trying to acquire Gonzalez again, trying to sign Matt Birk and bringing in Byron Leftwich or Ryan Fitzpatrick. This is just his opinion and in no way fact or rumor but he did preface by saying he was going on what he think the Bills would be able to accomplish (ie. no Haynesworth, Peppers, Suggs, etc.) Also had us trying to bring Crowell back if healthy and going DE at #11. I never know what to make of Chris Brown though. He seems smart at times then he acts like a shill. Time will tell I guess... http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2009/01/02/fan-friday-1-2/
  16. Pittsburgh's made all that money with all of those home playoff games that we have lacked since 1996...
  17. Sullivan I have no problem with since he basically just tells what he thinks and doesn't really give a crap who cares or who he upsets. I can't understand how anyone can defend Mort though. The guy obviously has it out for Wilson because he fired his friend. Also you know if the Bills were a cash cow then he would be all over their nuts like he is with the Cowboys, Jets, and Patriots. Anyone can say Ralph is a liability and be right, because it's true obviously. But Mort is still trying to argue that Mularkey was a great head coach and Losman was a good draft pick. And he's a company shill, and it's especially hard to respect him for that.
  18. I've been in shock for the past 24 hours about the flurry of news. Jauron stays, everyone else stays...how on God's green earth is this acceptable? How can you justify not at least upgrading our coaching staff or our personnel department. Wilson did say that Jauron had total control of his staff...is there no way he will at least try to upgrade the coaching staff. How about Herm Edwards, a guy who has experience in the Tampa 2 being added to the defensive staff? How about anyone with half a brain on the offensive staff? I know they cited Edwards having three different coordinators in three years as a problem but that is nonsense...Fairchild and Schonert were the same guy and if Schonert lays another egg then it will be 3 in 4 years anyway...what's the difference? And is it too much to ask for one football guy in the personnel department? Sorry, just venting. I know it's more of the same but the notion that the same front office and coaching staff will stay in tact is just absolutely mind boggling to me.
  19. I absolutely saw that. My brother also pointed it out to me, commenting on how he was surprised they let Kelly get that close, so people definitely noticed.
  20. I always thought Schobel would be a great #2 a la Phil Hansen. And with Kelsay making the money he's making at #2 I wouldn't mind cutting him and keeping Schobel at the comparable rate with a bonafide #1 pass rusher.
  21. Eh...at least we don't have a girly man at QB.
  22. I say put Tampa in Toronto...maybe Cleveland. And they'll probably give us another MNF game because the last two years we've given them exciting games which we choked at the end, which I'm sure that ESPN loves.
  23. I'd like to see him go 6-8 while he's trying to throw to Robert Royal...
  24. Yeah...when you think about it when you put the right system and talent around the two RB's and Edwards, you probably get a pretty damn good offense...
