    Actually that kind of makes perfect sense. You come back Monday after the weekend wave and identify your tier 2 targets, tie up loose ends, and call agents to schedule visits. By Tuesday night visits are starting to be scheduled and word leaks out.

    I was thinking more of the fact that there has been a flurry of visits being reported in the last hour or so. I'd say either way the Bills now what the deal is with Coles.

    Wouldn't it be funny if he was so appalled by Cincinatti that he automatically told his agent to get on the horn and sign with anyone else. Maybe we can get more free agents this way?

    He left 6 million guaranteed on the table. Different from how much per year. Plus that is more than I think Coles is worth.

    Also a shorter contract...we wouldn't be hamstrung with him if the other guys develop for two or three more years...

    Also we don't even know what he offered. He might be looking for a contract comparable to Housh's which isn't exactly what he's worth.

    Eh, it depends on the length. I'm not sure we want to go more than two, definitely not more than 3...how much guaranteed money do you really want to spread out? Remember, Housh got three different contract offers. Right now we are essentially bidding against ourselves.

    Well if the reports are true that they had a chance at the #3 pick, I don't see the logic in that...they also supposedly turned down the #12 pick.

    I thought he didn't like playing in the 3-4, hence why he wanted to be traded...

    Other teams have done that recently...NE did it with Samuel and TEN did it with Haynesworth. It's common place these days and some teams would rather avoid confrontation and take a comp pick.

    Don't forget if they have an uncapped year he will have to wait four years to become a UFA rather than two.

    I'm sure it's been posted numerous times but it can't hurt to have it up top right now so we can compare and contrast what the teams on our schedule have done in the offseason.

    Schefter doesn't seem all that interested in reporting on the Bills. Even when they finally got the story they questioned why the Bills would be interested in a WR. He mentioned Hardy being picked in the second round last year and the next sentence wondered if there was an injury with someone, clearly unaware that Hardy had blown out his ACL at the end of last year.
