  1. Looking a little skittish...if he doesn't settle down he is heading toward Tebow territory in the draft.
  2. But if no CBA is reached then league business ceases thus no free agency however the draft will go on as scheduled regardless of the labor situation so it is possible, perhaps even likely, that this season the draft will happen before free agency opens.
  3. 2 years, 24 wins including 10 this year with a M.A.S.H. unit. I'd say give him another chance.
  4. Can someone explain something to me - i see a lot of our so called "experts" saying that if we wanted to sign him so bad we can do a front loaded contract, etc. The question I have is - what is the advantage of doing a convoluted contract to circumvent the current rules rather than waiting for a new CBA and signing a normal contract extension. As far as I can see, there is no advantage...right? I mean there is absolutely nothing to say they can't simply work out an extension when new CBA is in place.
  5. A few weeks ago someone asked Peter King who the front-runners were for Bill Parcells' services. He responded with "CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN". I can only hope than someone has enough sense to put him back in the booth. I don't want him in a studio either, he needs to be in the booth.
  6. Who cares about that as long as we aren't the ones that overpay for him?
  7. My favorite part of your post is how you discredit him for anything that happened during his time at Pittsburgh due to there being a whole front office staff in place then proceed to blast him and single him out for one free agent signing, the first of a whole new regime, a few weeks after he was hired.
  8. Newton is the wild card...I still think he can have the "benefit from big National Championship Game/previous top prospect not declaring Vince Young/JaMarcus Russell" bump to the #1 spot. If not, you're right...looks like things are going to get interesting during the draft with the new rookie cap. On a side note I am kind of hoping the lockout drags on to the draft because then positional needs are pretty much out the window and people will be scrambling for the tops guys on their board.
  9. We might not have a choice...when we pick the best players left on the board may be Petersen, the Prince, and A.J. Green.
  10. For what it's worth, the talking heads on Twitter (Schefter, Mort, King, etc.) are saying that the rookie cap WILL be in place for this year so he is not leaving as much money on the table as people think.
  11. I thik T.O. would rather have been in Buffalo than Cincinatti last season...
  12. Mad props to The Senator for continuing to call this like a stubborn mule while everyone and their mother were convinced he was coming out.
  13. Are you sure that's accurate? Everything I've read says Fitzpatrick scored a 48, this has him at 40.
  14. I always found it curious. People hated the Cover 2, and rightfully so, and then criticized the Bills for moving to the 3-4. If they wanted to move even to a more stout 4-3 they didn't have the personnel either. The bottom line is that they needed to get bigger and the 3-4 was a means to an end. Ask yourself this - If Jauron and co. were still around would they pick players the size of Troup, Carrington, Moats, etc.? I'm willing to wait it out for another year.
  15. What's the hurry? The player's union and the owners are certainly in no hurry to agree to a new CBA. Mark my words, usual offseason activities won't commence until June at the earliest.
  16. Is that serious? If so how did you miss the 40 yard option run on 3rd and 17 against us just 4 days ago?
  17. Considering that free agency might not be for another six months, I would not be too concerned about it at this point. The liklihood is that the draft is going to precede free agency anyway.
  18. If you look up the word scapegoat in the dictionary George Edwards' face would be staring back at you. This guy has been demonized more than Satan himself around here. It's amazing to consider that the same people who rip the Bills for switching to the 3-4 without the proper personnel yet want Edwards canned. Not to mention the fact that he is a first year DC and might, gasp, get better with a year under his belt. Also this is not the same defense as Fewell's, he ran a Cover 2, Edwards runs a 3-4. Totally different. Was he good? No. Are you being overly dramatic? Yes. And who did Wade Wilson coach?
  19. I have an interesting one - I was at a bar in Boston some years back having a few drinks with a few friends. We were standing near a stairwell and who comes stumbling down the stairs in a drunken stupor but Patriots safety Lawyer Milloy! Anyway after he gathered himself he started flashing his Super Bowl ring around. I was curious to see what a Super Bowl ring looked like in person so I approached him to take a look. When I get up to him my buddy is already there checking it out and he tells Milloy that I am a Buffalo Bills fan. At that point he refused to show me his ring. I didn't take it personally at the time because the guy was absolutely loaded. Anyway the funny part of the story was that this must have been in June or July the September before he signed with us a few days before the season started.
  20. At #3? I want some of their drugs...he's a mid first round talent at best...not that there is anything wrong with that but we are not picking in the mid first round.
  21. +1 A lot of people keep pointing to the lack of production on offense, lack of scoring, etc., and use it as justification to replace Fitz. Consider that we scored six rushing Touchdowns all year. SIX. All year. Again this is Fitz's fault how? Build the lines, become a complete football team, then worry about getting a franchise QB.
  22. To the complete shock of absolutely no one... It's not like they need to play games, he's the top QB prospect in years, they have the #1 pick. I'd be one the phone with his agents the minute he declares if I was CAR if there was a CBA in place.
