http://yellowhammernews.com/politics-2/andrews-trump-clinton-will-president-heres-decide-vote/ First, allow me to say that I am not an admirer of either candidate. I never have been. My wife and I have two teenaged sons and, like you, we are aware that manners and good behavior are a reflection of character. That said, it is ironic that many of us now find ourselves in the position of choosing a president of the United States whose conduct we would not tolerate in our own family. But choose we must, for this is the first election in our lifetimes that has virtually nothing to do with the “personality” who will serve as our president. This election is about the Supreme Court. This time, forget everything else. Forget crimes that may have been committed. Forget any alleged sexual assault. Forget the possibility of treasonous acts, adultery, fraud, vindictiveness, and mean or childish behavior. Think only of the Supreme Court. For the first time in your life, you really are about to determine what this country will be like for the rest of your life. This is true, also, for the lives of your children and your children’s children. As a people, we have not had a choice before us with more power to heal or destroy since the civil war. The United States of America is clearly about to move down one of two roads. No rhetoric can disguise either path. And once the Supreme Court is in place, no Congress or Senate can change that path. This coming Tuesday, November 8, 2016, you and I will choose which of two people will become president. Soon after being inaugurated, that person will begin the process of selecting the person who will fill the vacant seat on the Supreme Court—the one who will tip the scales one way or the other. Laws will be upheld or overturned. New laws will be imposed or not. In either case, the way you are allowed to live will soon be determined by the Supreme Court. The court’s majority will be determined by the new president. But one thing is certain: after Tuesday, you will have no more say in the matter.

The only people I saw Obama yelling at recently were his own protesters who were protesting a Trump supporter.

Polls Have you or any one you know
grinreaper replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Whenever anybody asks me if it is true that you can vote by text I tell them that sure you can, but just make sure you back it up with a vote on the ninth. -
A lot of people try to defend her because many of the emails became classified after the fact. I don't buy it one bit. She was the !@#$ing Secretary of State and should have had good enough judgement to know what is sensitive material regardless if it had a "C" on it or not.

Now you've done it. I guess I'll have to take care of that.

Obviously there is a fairly good chance that Hillary ends up as our president. Many will rejoice and be proud that we've come so far and have elected the first woman president. Women will hail it as a milestone and liberals will feel a "tingle up their legs". Great, eh? Not so fast. How many people were dancing in the streets 8 years ago when we elected the first black president? How has that worked out? Many were so interested in proving that we as a nation had come so far that they failed to see past "Hope and Change" and judge the man on his political beliefs and character. The last eight years have been a disaster with the worst examples of foreign and domestic policies. So, we now get to decide if this election gets decided based on gender. I, as a man would love to see a woman president. Just not this woman. I strongly disagree with her war mongering foreign policies and convoluted domestic views. That doesn't disqualify her though. Her utter corruptness and disdain for anyone not in her inner circle makes her totally unacceptable to lead this nation. We have just had 8 years of a disastrous black president. Let me be clear, he was disastrous not because he is/was black but because he was totally nonqualified by his lack of experience and paucity of character. Do we really want to elect the first female president and have her likely to be impeached? Obama has set back race relations, something that seemed unfathomable 8 years ago. What do you think Hillary will set back?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/casar-vargas/why-i-can-no-longer-suppo_1_b_12698874.html This from a HuffPost contributer. It took me a long time to write this. I had to dig deep into my being to come up with these words. I’m recanting my endorsement of Hillary Clinton for the presidency. I’m aware of how vindictive Clintonians can be. I’m not speaking about the Clintons themselves, but of those surrounding them. Perhaps the saying is true: dime con quién andas y te diré quién eres. Your staff, your donors, your surrogates, and those you surround yourself with are a reflection of who you truly are, no? If not, why not curb any unacceptable behavior? Silence, indifference, or inaction is as incriminatory-at least to me. There has been no repudiation, let alone denunciation, of what was said in those emails-just denial, finger pointing, and doublespeak. To appoint the very same folks who carried out many malicious behaviors to tip the scales for Hillary is just as unpardonable. Why reward unethical behavior? It’s mind-boggling.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/the-relentless-conservative/the-democratic-partys-two_b_933995.html This, by the Huffpost who I try to avoid. I’ll have those n*ggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.” ~ Lyndon B. Johnson to two governors on Air Force One I had never heard the above quote from Ronald Kessler’s book, Inside the White House before but my father had told me about LBJ’s terrible mouth and frightful personality. If you listen to Democrats (many of you do — at least those who watch MSNBC and read the NY Times rabidly), you hear fanciful yarns spun so sweetly about how LBJ ended racism, segregation and voting inequality in America. They make him sound like Mr. Rogers. How long will the Democrats continue their absurd charade? All the while claiming Republicans are racist, meanwhile the Democrats are the party clearly responsible for the contemptible Jim Crow laws. Let’s see how proud these secret, racist beliefs make current day Democrats. Let’s see how they like the real truth being told about their party. When I was nine, a friend of my father’s worked in the LBJ White House and was unhappily close with LBJ. He was writing a book about his experiences with this foul-mouthed, racist president and somehow I got my hands on it. I was fascinated. I had never encountered such words or their rampant use — even when no vulgarity was necessary, an inside view of a president that 99.9% of the country never saw. LBJ was an awful man. He only promoted and signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the 1965 Voting Rights Act because he thought it was politically expedient. He disagreed violently and kept it a secret, something I think is unreservedly detestable. Or is it a common politician’s disease?

Of course you are right. The dems fought The Civil Rights Act tooth and nail.
