I don't think anyone knows if Whaley can identify a QB based on the "coaching" of Marrone. More QBs have been ruined by their first NFL HC than have been developed. While Manuel has his obvious problems, his development was obviously hindered by Marrone's lack of innovation and incessant "don't turn the ball over" rhetoric that kept Manuel from even trying to make a play until the game was on the line.
