  1. No NHL team with a shot at signing the guy is going to give up anything at this point. Murray took a calculated gamble when he did because he had many assets at his disposal. Nashville KNEW they weren't going to sign him so they cut bait and took what they could get.
  2. That would be true except he was constantly having to talk to his team about all the mental mistakes - all the way into the playoffs. It's part of the game. Either your team buys in or it doesn't. Maybe Arians would cut a player for such behavior before Rex would cut the same player but the biggest reason the Cardinals didn't win the Super Bowl last season was mental mistakes, not physical.
  3. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Tate retires. I think Nunes hits like a truck.
  4. They are there pretty much all the time until they go into hibernation. They have to get crazy fat to make it through the winter.
  5. He's tremendously skilled but I don't think he's strong enough to deal with the NHL. He reminds me a little of Stamkos the year he was drafted.
  6. Most of these women have never been punched hard in their entire lives because the average woman doesn't have one strike power. Holly Holm did exactly the same thing to Rousey. When they get damaged, they don't have the experience to clinch effectively or create distance. Nunes has enough game to remain champion if she stays hungry. Cormier is just a fat guy. He should have destroyed Silva once he got on top but he had no idea what the hell to do to create offense. He's very lucky Jon Jones got popped because he'd have gotten destroyed. Lesnar is all strength. Once he gets on top of you, you're not going anywhere but he had multiple opportunities to just wreck Hunt. His inexperience/game just didn't allow him to capitalize. If he fights anyone with any kind of reach/speed, he's going to get put to sleep.
  7. The fights are entertaining. I just fast forward through the rest of it.
  8. You haven't even seen the guy really shoot the puck yet. He's gotta wicked wrist shot.
  9. GMC has about as good a deal as you're ever going to get for a pretty much fully loaded Crew Cab SLT: 20% off MSRP. It's also available on Acadia and Terrain. Valid until the 8th of July. http://www.gmc.com/independence-day-offers.html The GMC dealers locally are adding pretty close to an additional 10% to it, so trucks with an MSRP around $52k are going for about $37k.
  10. If the "No Guns" policy is advertised and you choose to patronize the theater, then it's on you.
  11. bull ****. No person can expect a private entity will provide security beyond what is reasonable. The only reason those people filed those lawsuits is because a buncha shyster lawyers promised them an easy payday. It's a good example of everthing that's wrong and why Colorado enhanced their law.
  12. You're going to starve to death in NYC if you think $25 for a meal that includes alcohol is expensive.
  13. McNabb is just a terrible skater. I like his size, shot, and first pass ability but he'll get exposed as time goes on if he doesn't improve his skating exponentially. DK is a much better all around player - not even close. I don't know why everyone gets wrapped up in the number one pick for Lehner. It's hockey, not the NFL. The hit rate on bottom third picks in the NHL is far lower than the NHL. Imagine the NFL draft being held with high school seniors and college freshmen instead of juniors and seniors. The hit rate would be terrible.
  14. There is just as high a percentage of crazy black "separatists" as crazy white "separatists", especially in the younger demographics. The media refuses to cover that angle of the story because it doesn't fit their manipulative narrative. President Obama could be a peach of a man but he's been an obamanation as the leader of the free world. It's hard to believe anyone could be more incompetent than his predecessor but he managed to move right to the top of the podium.
  15. The thing that annoys me most about airlines is they still don't use the data they possess to make sure people's experience is as good as it can be. Case in point: Arrived in airport 2 over an hour late because we left airport 1 almost 90 minutes late. Connection to airport 3 was as far away as physically possible. Because it was an international flight, we had to go through customs before we could make our way to gate for second flight. Arrived at second gate 6 minutes after flight was closed. Gate attendant had the audacity to ask us "what took you so long to get here?" Then had to go out into the terminal and find out what we'd been rebooked on (which means back through security AGAIN). Found out it wasn't the NEXT flight out, which was about 90 minutes later. Instead, it was SIX hours later on a different airline. Went to original airline - no one around. Went to new airline. Found out there were 3 seats on earlier flight (with original carrier) but weren't able to get the 2 we needed. Second airline tried to get original airline to change the tickets but supervisor from original airline wanted us to pay $800 for EACH ticket to make the change. All because they don't have the ability to tell who is landing on their own planes, get you to your destination on time (they could have flown at a higher airspeed and made up the difference), and/or work out the logistics to make sure their customer gets to their connection. To top it off, they're not dynamic enough to realize their own mistakes and work with the customer to make sure they have the least damage to their own reputation. !@#$ you, United. I've flown your garbage airline for the last time.
  16. If Vesey signs, he'll absolutely be a Sabre this season. There wasn't a player available at 8 that would have been a sure thing to make the Sabres. The NHL draft simply isn't the same as the NFL. Unless you're drafting at the very top, the likelihood of getting a player who will impact your team in the short term is very low. There's no reason to draft for need. The NHL draft should always be about the best player with the largest upside.
  17. It's a real quandry because getting a guy like Fowler gives you a proven NHL defenseman who could be ready to make the final step to his prime. Picking a dman at 8 just means you have a pipeline guy who is probable 3 or 4 seasons from being a consistant contributor. The NHL draft compares more with the MLB draft than it does with the NFL draft. Unless you're picking first or second, you're not adding a contributing piece in the short term.
  18. Poor man's Scott Neidermeyer. Obviously doesn't play to that level on a consistent basis or he wouldn't be a candidate to move but he is only 24 and consistency is the toughest thing for an NHL defenseman. http://forecaster.thehockeynews.com/hockeynews/hockey/player.php?8426
  19. The Pistons NEVER beat Jordan "like a dog." They won one series in six games and another in 7. In 1989 Jordan averaged 29, Pippen 10. The series in 1990 the Pistons won game 7, in which Pippen scored 2 points in 42 minutes. Jordan had 31. Jordan averaged 32 in the series, Pippen 16. The Pistons were the better, deeper team. Once MJ's supporting cast got better, the Pistons fell apart.
  20. Liberals have a very hard time with the concept of "consequences".
