All good QBs get away with a couple of bad passes each week. Flutie was the king of it and he wasn't actually all that good. This was another step in the right direction against a VERY good defense. One that has dominated some really fine competition.

I'd change "week" to "season". For the most part the Irish have been exposed all year against decent competition. Simply not athletic nor disciplined enough to play good defense. Way too many blown assignments and missed tackles. I had a feeling this was going to be Michigan part 2.
