  1. Yeah, it's really important. So important that more people than ever don't exercise, eat right, or take any preventative steps to ensure they have the best possible health. But SOMEONE should make sure EVERYONE is COMPLETELY covered. But you're not an idiot. Health care and Supersized Jumbo meals for EVERYONE! Courtesy of the FDA!
  2. You mean because DTs run 40 yards regularly during football games?
  3. I doubt that'd change anything, since the politicians would just promise them that the evil "rich people" would pay for it. It's just another pipe dream that will push us ever closer to the inevitable collapse we're rolling toward. Every government program starts out as an ideological endeavor to solve a problem. It's what it'll morph into that we need to fear. Forty years from now, when health care still sucks and our standard of living has collapsed, we'll have spent untold amounts of money for pretty much no net gain.
  4. Definitely. You know, leaving out facts like: a new GM, new coaching staff, new schemes on both sides of the ball, 4 other rookie starters on defense, etc. Whitner sucks and wasn't even worth a first rounder. [/retard rollercoaster]
  5. Good call. The playoffs is a terrific time to exact retribution.
  6. I can't think of five safeties in the NFL that would have made the play Whitner made against Miami.
  7. An important question that certainly needs to be answered on the second of March.
  8. Do not post copyrighted material here. Post the link or don't post anything. Thank you.
  9. I don't care if he does. The Boston media will eat him alive. It'd be a matter of time before he melted down. Not only that, but it'll be lots of fun to watch whether the "team" can't cure "the cancer" that is Randy Moss. I'm betting they can't.
  10. From my experience, players are OK with other former players making observations - but they aren't OK with one of their teammate's agents (or other "representative") or current players doing the same. If Rosenhaus shows his face around practice, I can see him "accidentally" getting run over. Willis is not going to be popular, no matter what else is reported on the subject. No athlete likes getting their nose rubbed in their failure in the media. Most of them take it personally.
  11. They dump Branch but want to bring in Moss? I think Belichick is losing it.
  12. Hmmmm. How do I ensure that no one in Buffalo will block for Willis next season? Oh, I know. I'll call them out on national television. Real smart, Drew. I can see every OLineman dropping on their belly the first running play of the first full contact drill, then turning around and asking what's left of Willis if he knows how to shut his agent's big fukkin' mouth.
  13. Then why say "it'd put Buffalo on the map"? The region suffers from an identity crisis that it has mostly earned. The BILLS winning would mean NOTHING to the rest of the country, other than they'd stop calling us total losers for about 3 seconds. ESPN sucks. That's been established. Who cares? If the reason you don't watch hockey during the regular season is because they don't show highlights, that's your loss. The NHL is sorry that ESPN's brass hasn't figured out how to broadcast hockey. Perhaps they could use Disney to put Big Bird patches on sweaters so we could get more kids to watch. In reality, the regular season of every sport except football absolutely drags because of the sheer number of games - college hoop included. The NFL and college fb have it pretty much right because their games can truly only be played once a week and that fits our society's "microwave mentality." I'm still waiting for the basketball game I can't miss all but the last two minutes of (which takes at least 20 minutes to play). Hasn't happened yet, though an argument could be made for the Louisville/Houston tilt when Lancaster Gordon and the McCrays lost a dunkfest to Larry Michaeux, Benny Anders, Akeem, and Clyde Drexler. For my money, the best week of any season is the opening of the Stanley Cup. Every team starts with a clean slate and each has a good chance of at least getting to the Finals. Sure, the NCAA Tournament has upsets, but rarely do underdogs get past the Sweet 16 (where have you gone, Bryce Drew?). But the tournament does have some slick presentation...
  14. So you need the "rest of the country's" validation to like something? What kind of crap is that? Why the hell does Buffalo need to be on the map? So more mouthbreathers will move there for the jobs that don't exist and aren't coming? The BILLS could win every Super Bowl for the next decade and it won't change a damn thing (other than the wicked parties I'll get to go to). The politicos will still be driving the bus off the cliff and the locals will keep voting the incumbents back in at a 90% clip.
  15. The only real solution is more cheap, bad reality television. Then they'll stop screwing, just like Americans.
  16. Both sides depend on fear mongering to keep their base. The funny part is how ridiculous each seems to the other - and for good reason.
  17. Prisons aren't nice places. Doesn't matter where they are or who runs them. I don't know why people are surprised when this stuff happens. Watch TLC sometime, they have stuff on about "prison life" all the time. I know, I know. The US military should be different than other US Government agencies who run prisons. You know, since historically armies are really good at this kind of stuff. The horror. Ooh, naked pyramids and stupid enlisted people smoking cigs and pointing at people.
  18. My girlfriend's sister's boyfriend's cousin's Uncle had this dog, who bit his wife at 31 Flavors. I know because some dude on the internet told me. You're right though. It's definitely not an Urban Legend. It's a fukkin myth.
  19. Not anymore. I could tell about 10 stories. Also, pay with a credit card or check and keep the canceled one until you friggin' die. NYS tried to screw my son 5 YEARS after his ticket.
  20. That statement would be just as true if Marty was still here. No offense to the Marty lovers, but he's not a Stanley Cup winning goalie.
  21. That'd be Calgary. We're just really talented and can win even when completely disinterested.
  22. Last season he was pretty one dimensional. This season, playing with Drury, he's been a much different player.
