  1. The STEELERS won't fire him but they should. He's making the same mistakes he's been making his entire career. Not kicking the FG with 47 seconds left is indefensible. That decision alone cost them any chance of winning the game.
  2. He runs lazy routes too much of the time, doesn't track the deep ball well, and sometimes uses his body to catch the ball.
  3. Agreed. I expect some of that, given their age/experience. There's no way we don't upgrade the position this offseason because the WR play this season left much to be desired.
  4. It was second and 6, so even if it was 4 yards it makes it third and manageable. I have no issue with the call. The 3rd down route drove me nuts. Run the damn route past the sticks and get the first down or just run the ball and eat the clock/force a timeout. The Patriots have been winning Championship after Championship because they play smart, situational football year after year and almost never beat themselves. We're exactly the opposite. Thompson had a brutal game yesterday. He was terrible. The interception on the final offensive play was entirely his fault, for pretty much the same reason. Come back to the damn ball and stay between your QB and the defender. It's literally WR 101.
  5. There wasn't anything wrong with those calls and I'm quite certain Dennison/McDermott were in lock step on what the team was going to do. Thompson dropped a PERFECT pass (one of the few thrown all day). Once again, not play calling. Execution. The Patriots and Steelers would have flown down the field in that scenario and gotten a minimum FG chance. We can't even consider trying because of our QB and his limitations.
  6. What changed? Are you kidding? Did we play the same teams? Did we have the same personnel? Do teams have more film on TT and adapt to what he does well to force him to do things he doesn't do well to beat them? Football is dynamic and changes every single year. If you're not changing, you're going to get rolled. TT is NOT an accurate enough QB to start in this league and his limitations are obvious every single time the BILLS play a team with a better QB or an above average defense. Dude CANNOT play from behind because the second HE has to be THE GUY, his weaknesses are exposed for the entire world to see. The All-22 doesn't lie. There have been guys running open all season long but TT cannot consistently read a defense, throw with anticipation, or throw an intermediate route to keep defenses honest. Jacksonville will play a completely different and tighter scheme against the Steelers next week because if they don't, Ben will murder them. The BILLS' defense held Jacksonville's leading rusher to less than 60 yards on under 3 ypc. They gave up less than 90 yards passing. THEY LOST. And yes, it's because Tyrod Taylor simply isn't good enough.
  7. And then it's 50/50 on whether he'll throw an accurate ball. The number of overthrows this season to "NFL open" WRs is truly his legacy. Great guy but he's a clipboard holder/gimmick player like Antwan Randle El. That's how he should be used.
  8. Uh...nope. The QB is the leader of the team and the most important position in the sport. There's a reason great QBs play on great offenses. They lead by example and their teammates work to match their standard. Taylor is what he is and the offense mirrors him. At least he kept us from getting hammered in Foxboro this week. So there's that.
  9. The NFL is about execution and always has been. Brady has been murdering us with short yardage passing for almost 2 decades now. It's not too much to ask for your QB to throw an accurate pass in the red zone. The reality of the goal line play is it wouldn't have been required if Taylor had hit the wide open O'Leary for a TD a few plays earlier. Dennison called a great game yesterday but our limited QB couldn't make the plays. Lather, rinse, repeat.

  11. Sal reported he was doing ladder drills. It's probably more precautionary than anything.

  13. This fan base has always been this way. We raised a whole buncha money for Roswell back in the day. The majority of Jags' fans? There are like 20 of them. I've been to Jacksonville. You could drop a nuclear weapon and not hit a piece of Jaguars' apparel.
  14. Never trust a chic that dresses like a hipster doofus.
  15. There are going to be a few GMs who regret passing on Mittlestadt. Damn, that kid looks like he might be special.
  16. Yeah, because location totally determines human nature. The Pats have been good for a long time. They get the calls. Should it change? Of course. Will it? Of course not. All professional sports are run by arrogant elitists who could give a flying crap about the average ticket buyer. You're worm food to them and they always think there's a line of people just itching to take your place. Wanna make a real difference? Turn it off and go outside.
  17. Because it does. It's the same rationale people use with more attractive people. Sports entities who are champions/winners regularly get calls. It's always been this way. I remember when I was a kid hearing an announcer say "you can't take the heavyweight title from the champ via a decision". Uh...what? That thinking is pervasive across sports.
  18. It's about time they start doing their jobs. Still waiting on an offensive/defensive holding penalty on the Patriots. Gilmore absolutely raped Benjamin on the TD play that was overruled, no flag. They incessantly get away with more defensive holding/interference than any team in NFL history.
  19. You're not lying. I knew as soon as I saw it that they were going to overturn it. Switch the jersey's and the ruling on the field stands (as it should have). There have been 2 sets of rules in the NFL for far too long.
  20. It's not a mini-Doberman. It's a miniature pinscher. The word "pinscher" is the German equivalent of terrier. It's a miniature terrier that was bred to hunt vermin. The breed actually precedes the Dobermann.
  21. I like to save my "BILLS suck" takes for Cheats week. We're gonna get hammered.
