There was never a single time when I said we should invade Iraq. The closest anyone can put anything on me in that vein is "post invasion" when I stated "we won't know the outcome of this endeavor for at least 20 years". A statement which I stand by today. I drew on my military experience to state the operational "taking" of the country would be pretty easy and the aftermath would be a mess. All of which came true. Compare that to the sloganeering (BushBad!) and stupidity of those who aren't here anymore and you come up with "brownshirts and meekness". Let's all pretend that's credible. You mean like RichinOhio? Keep sticking up for the members of your circle jerk and pretending they aren't here anymore because of their political opinions. And you'd be wrong. I love the comparison of an individual to a societal problem and your belief that somehow holds validity. Nice, typically oversimplified response. Which one your "societies" even remotely resembles the ones that spawn the terrorists of today? Do the Aborigines have preschools that teach children military tactics, to hate specific people for their differences from the time they're able to process minimal information, etc? Jesus Christ, try getting some information. There are about 100 different really good documentaries on terrorism and Middle Eastern countries available on Netflix. Try watching one or two.

There certainly are evil people in the world. Your comparison isn't valid. One is a wiring problem. The other (generally) isn't. The two situations aren't even close to equal. There's a ton of irony between your two "points". There's little reason to waste time understanding something mostly because you obviously haven't.

I can't say much on the subject. I researched it a couple of years ago but the only place in town that sold them warned me off because the water in Alaska is so cold that the things have a hard time warming it. I don't know it it's still the case but it's something to find out about if you have cold winters...
