  1. Edwards had more potential but the BILLS wrecked him by getting him hammered game after game. He was never the same after he got his clock cleaned in Arizona.
  2. He also had 55 pressures, which is elite level (Joey Bosa had 56, Von Miller had 59. Jerry Hughes led the BILLS last year with 39). Murphy is one of those guys who will make everyone around him more successful and force guys like Shaq Lawson to seriously up his game or he'll spend the season standing on the sidelines with his hands on his hips.
  3. That's a great example. Tim Couch is another. NFL history is just littered with them.
  4. It's not how you start, it's how you finish. The great ones are measured by their performance in the fourth quarter and in critical situations. TT regularly came up small in critical moments close and late. My biggest early concern with Allen is the BILLS trot him out there behind a bad OLine and he takes tons of hits. Nothing ruins a promising young QB faster than having his confidence shattered.
  5. Cool. I understand what you're saying. I also understand that no matter what, pretty much everything offends someone, so I try to take that into consideration when I evaluate situations. Very few things actually offend me and I can find humor in just about anything, usually long before society would deem it appropriate.
  6. Nice try. If you don't know what black face is, then I suppose your take could be relevant. Kimmel also dressed up as Karl Malone and Charles Barkley. None of them were done in "black face". Mimicking or parodying a celebrity is a hell of a lot different then the origins of black face and why that particular thing is no longer acceptable. Why the !@#$ does that even need to be explained? And thanks for making me defend friggin' Jimmy Kimmel.
  7. Parody, mockery and satire are forms of comedy. If you can't tell the difference between them and comparing an African American an ape in 2018, head on back to 1960 where you belong.
  8. I love Tre White. My favorite moment of last season was when he told Jordan Poyer to "Stay down" after his game clinching interception in Miami. The BILLS have had far too many stupid football players over the years. Tre White isn't one of them and that's a big step in the right direction..
  9. No one can use that particular insult on ANYONE in this day and age. I understand what you're saying but it's not 1960 anymore and everyone needs to realize it. I'm glad ABC acted EXACTLY the way they did and wasted no time doing it.
  10. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/chiefs-suspend-lb-derrick-thomas/ "Although he signed a five-year, $27 million contract extension before last season, Thomas' role this year has been reduced to pass-rushing duties because he is so ineffective against the run."
  11. I'm not saying he wasn't a great player but I doubt if another player on that list was EVER taken off the field in such an important game because he was getting manhandled. I think he's probably third behind Butkus. Butkus was just such a monster in his time.
  12. He was taken off the field in the AFC Championship game because he was getting trucked play after play...
  13. You saw the same game I did. Washington basically did to the Lightening what pretty much everyone has done to the Capitals over the past few seasons. Washington controls the puck, gets copious amounts of shots and great chances but doesn't finish. Opponent scores a goal...and then another...and the another. Caps lose. Holtby was great last night.
  14. Nice job Mets. That's an old Yankees' move - sign a guy who is quickly spiraling downward and hope he can be 5 years younger.
  15. I thought it was better in every way and the first movie is one of my all time favorites (yes, I have very low standards for what entertains me).
  16. I can't agree with this more, though I can't imagine the Sabres would have a high level of interest anyway.
  17. Net Neutrality has always been stupid. Now more stupid people want it because the media is telling them to.
  18. "a recent first-round pick for a top team ". Thankfully that rules out the Sabres. :D
  19. I don't know about Daboll's relationship with Colt McCoy but I agree with Jimmy Johnson: "I don't believe in football intelligence and being dumb off the field," he said. "If he's dumb off the field, he's going to make dumb problems off the field and that's going to be just as big a problem as being dumb on the field." On his "Football Life" program he said: "Hit me in the head with a hammer the next time I want to draft a dumb guy." Perhaps McCoy was a little hard-headed and that's one of the reasons Daboll dealt with him the way he did. I've probably interviewed 1000 candidates for jobs in my professional life. I've been able to discount probably 90% of candidates within the first 5 minutes of the interview. If you can't reason with someone, they're going to be virtually impossible to deal with on a daily basis.
  20. Pitiful. She'd be ashamed of who you've become. The best thing you can do to honor her is to actually live. Be a good person...an example for others to emulate. No one in today's society is lonely for any reason other than choice. If you need help, seek it. I can promise you that there are no good answers at the bottom of a liquor bottle or jar of pills.
