  1. I don't think they need to do anything different - except hold onto the friggin' ball and teach Bell WTF to set his feet.
  2. You don't have to be there to know that. For the eight "real" Pats fans in attendance, this has to look a lot like their earlier history. Those horrific uniforms and us giving them a whuppin'.
  3. I did. I openly wondered if his forearm was reconstructed from what was left of JoePa's hip.
  4. It looked to me like it was his forearm that was bothering him when he came off. Is there different information?
  5. Me too. And people actually think I'm the one who lives in a cave.
  6. It's always tough burying a family member. Do yourself and the world a favor and get another one as soon as you can. Some deserving animal is spending its last night in a shelter when it could be living a nice comfortable life with your loving family. You owe that to your lost loved one.

  8. I don't see how that stat means anything either. None of those players were leadoff hitters at any point in their career. I'm not saying that Jeter would ever approach the greats of the game in that regard but that was never going to be his role anyway. Many of the things the guy does are beyond measure, not the least of which is not be a total douchebag despite being the Captain of the New York Yankees. I think the little B word fest that Rice put up a couple of weeks ago illustrated that perfectly. I don't think you'll find a Yankee fan who doesn't appreciate Rivera equally to Jeter. They're synonymous with excellence. Just about? Enjoy that title.
  9. What coach wins regularly without great players? Ridiculous point. Dude went 11-5 last season with a guy who hadn't started a game since High School and there wasn't a single playoff team that wasn't praying that New England wouldn't make the playoffs.
  10. Because Brady got sacked in a preseason game? If we're going off preseason performance, I'd say they're a hell of a lot better than we are.
  11. The Patriots are afraid of a team they've beaten 15 out of the last 16 with most of the games being blowouts? Yeah, sure they are.
  12. 13 points. The Steelers won that game because they have a tremendous defense and because Ralph Bironas picked a horrible night to suck out loud.* *And because the officiating was downright horrible.
  13. How did the coin toss determine the outcome of the game? Pittsburgh scored 10 points in regulation. How is it a foregone conclusion that they were going to score on the first drive of overtime when they only scored on 2 drives in 60 minutes. Defense is a pretty big part of football. Perhaps Tennessee should have played some in overtime.
  14. That's how I would have taken that post. It's like there's no level your retardia can't sink to. Awesome.
  15. You're right. It's not more absurd (and narcissistic) to think that "you" (some dude on a message board) could win a SB because they were give a superb defense. You're obviously awesome and Brian Billick, who put together one of the most dynamic offenses in NFL history and then won a SB with virtually no offense and is still employed in the sport at the highest level, is a complete rube. I love the internet.
  16. Perhaps if Jauron didn't continuously make the same fundamental coaching mistakes each week. Try and remember the last time we went into the end of a half with all 3 time outs at our disposal. Jauron has been here FOUR seasons. If the players are smaller, weaker, and less athletic than other teams there's a good chance he has had a say in whether or not they are here.
  17. The Ravens built their team with virtually all the money on defense and it was obvious. Billick wasn't able to make soup out of sh-- but he was smart enough not to screw it up. I don't think Greg Williams, Mike Mularkey, or Dick Jauron wins a SB with that team.
  18. I remember the Patriots starting Hank Poteat in the AFC Championship game against the Steelers. Poteat hadn't played a down of football in nearly 2 seasons. The Patriots won. Do the BILLS have a paper advantage in that matchup? Sure. Will it matter? Not unless something dramatically changes in the trenches.
  19. I disagree, simply because Republicans and Democrats are actually considering a few real changes that should be discussed. We'll see what comes out (which will probably be crap) but there are actual positives.
  20. I now know exactly how Rams' fans felt heading into last season. I don't know what getting rid of Jauron would mean given Ralph's history of coaching hires. We could very easily end up with Hank Bullough following Kay Stephenson, the sequel. That's the real difference. For that reason, I hope somehow the cosmos has re-aligned and all of this stupidity will somehow end up as some kind of super retard strength.
  21. Who the hell is Barry Obama, D- IL? It was only about 2.5 years ago that question had merit. The answer is: Who the hell cares? At least people are actually paying attention to an issue for a change.
