Buffalo pretty much invented the "arena is so sold out that 1000s of fans are going to watch the game together outside" thing that everyone else is currently copying. The team has been brutal for almost a decade...historically bad. They're going to own the region the rest of this season and every winter for the next decade, unless Josh Allen quickly becomes the real deal. We love competitive teams and we support them like no one else does.

Ullmark could have fallen apart after that softy but he did the opposite. I don't know what to do with myself in the shootouts. Last season if we missed even once, it was a loss. Both of our goalies are playing great in the skills competition. Scandella had another rough one and the PP still needs work... but you just can't find much to really B word about with this team. It's alot of games against good teams in a short period of time but the boys just keep finding a way to get 2 points. This is foundation building stuff.

No one is going to convince me that Pilut doesn't belong on the ice in place of Nelson or Booloo.

Price has played better recently than he did earlier in the season but he's nowhere near the guy they thought they were getting when they paid him all that money. It doesn't matter to me who starts in goal but if I were a player on a hot team, it would be pretty motivating to see teams continue to put their backup in the net.

At this point it's almost disrespectful.

Excellent post. At some point in the future, we're going to find out just how much mental damage contact and combat sports are doing to athlete's brains. Even then, there will still be people who need to show their superiority whenever someone else fails.

Hutton has been unreal most of the time. LU has either been VERY good or inconsistent, which is to be expected. We’ve yet to lose a game because of goaltending, which is a nice change. That’s the Lidstrom part...just makes everything look so easy anyone should be able to do it. He sends 100 foot passes to guys who are flying down the ice like it’s nothing.

I said it back when we won the lottery...I think it was more important to get Dahlin than McDavid because great defensemen happen about 4 times a century. RD is gonna be on the ice literally half of every important Sabres' game for the next 15+ years. You can already see the "Nick Lidstrom" in his game and he hasn't even scratched the surface.

I very much prefer a team that starts slowly and finishes strong... they are the takes that tend to have more success in the postseason. If Housley can help them find more early consistency, this team is going to shine.
