  1. No country that counts Dmitri Kalinin and Max Afinogenov in their top 20 should ever win ANYTHING.
  2. Who ever said he was? In fact, I said pretty much the opposite. Ya friggin' mouth breather. That's an incredibly stupid argument when we're talking about a guy who has averaged 60 points a season. Can you read or process information? Leadership isn't about "carrying a team" - it never has been and it never will be.
  3. Dude, shut up. I know you don't get embarrassed at yourself but when I start actually feeling sorry for you, you should start thinking that maybe you're a little off.
  4. Nice bankrupt argument. The Rangers are going EXACTLY where a poorly built team should be and that has nothing to do with Chris Drury. There isn't a single person who has been around hockey who doesn't want Chris Drury on their team. Your stupidity doesn't change that little fact. No one wins in the NHL without players. You talked about Colorado, the team of Roy, Foote, Bourque, Forsberg, Sakic, Blake, Hejduk. Go ahead and pretend that any team he's played on since has players of that caliber. That doesn't change the fact that dude is cash money when they start playing games that matter - which is easy for Sabres fans to remember since he led the team in goals both seasons they made the playoffs with him.
  5. I bet I've scored that exact goal (Perry's second) in NHL2Kxx ten thousand times. Brilliant passing play. Put a dime on 'em, fellas.
  6. This is an embarrassment. Oh look. Max shows up to score one of his special goals. There isn't a better player in the world when there's a 5 goal differential either way.
  7. 2 goal in 46 ticks will do that to a brother. And another answer from Canada!
  8. From what I've heard, it's a minimum of $5k to get a ducket and it probably went to twice that before the puck dropped.
  9. 1. No Canadian better give me crap about the nickname - I love Canada and there's no one I'd rather see in the Gold Medal game versus the U.S. Great start Canucks! Get after those friggin' commies.
  10. After you see behavioral psychotherapist, sure. People who aren't offended generally don't start talking about other men's junk.
  11. There isn't a single team in any sport that has one leader. That's friggin' stupid.
  12. I think it's about 10% good idea, 55% politics of opportunity, and 35% "witch hunt because they're the union's bitches".
  13. Looks to me like the Big Cat is getting a little offended.
  14. "We'd love to hire you because you're the most qualified but you've only been jobless for 26 days and this other guy is at 61..." !@#$ing retards.
  15. Drury doesn't put up sexy numbers and there's always been the issue of getting payed big money in New York for what is assumed to be small production. The big problem is what he did in Buffalo made the expectation beyond what he's known for. Drury is a guy who does all the little things that win hockey games but he's never going to be a numbers guy. The first part of this tournament he was basically the last forward on the bench. Once the games became important and the situational play became critical, Drury's value became VERY apparent. The average fan is ignorant and doesn't appreciate guys like Backes and Drury because all they do is help you win by making the smart play. EVERY time.
  16. I don't know what games everyone is watching but Canada is !@#$ing dominating everyone they play in both territory and scoring chances. The biggest problem is they haven't seemed to be able to overcome ANY adversity whatsoever, which probably has more to do with playing at "home" than anything.
  17. No kidding. I'm sure the chances of that guy "snapping" again are so low that he shouldn't be locked up. I think Ron White said it best (paraphrased): If you're a "roll your poop into little balls and eat crayons type of crazy", we'll put you up and feed you for as long as you live but if you're a "kill your kids" type - you get the express lane death penalty". Chlorine for the gene pool, please.
  18. I think it's awesome too. The big problem I have with it is it shows just how far journalism (and that particular magazine) has fallen. SI was a staple in our house. I read every edition cover-to-cover. Now I might pick it up if there's nothing else at the barber shop. How the mighty has fallen.
