  1. You do understand that income tax is just one tax, right? Never mind.
  2. Make sure you go through the Hazmat station on the way out. You don't want to end up with Connerhea.
  3. Forgive me for not celebrating something that isn't all that important to me.
  4. Does John Elway know she stole his teeth?
  5. They're qualified to be teachers and school administrators. So are most people who graduate from decent high schools.
  6. I didn't think the Browns were going to draft a QB anyway. Somehow I doubt the acquisition of Seneca Wallace changes what their plan was.
  7. I think it's really stupid to hate on players who aren't: 1. Guaranteed a roster spot. 2. Guaranteed a starting job. 3. Most haven't seen play. To say nothing of the ridiculous notion that a player sucks because his former team sucks. That's so stupid the word doesn't even come close to describing it. Does Nnamdi Asomugha suck because he plays for the Raiders? Yeah, didn't think so.
  8. This is the solution that educated people came up with. Keep that in mind.
  9. Whisenhunt a is smart. They're not going to pay Rolle because he's not worth the money. Dansby is a good linebacker and he'll be tough to replace but he doesn't play to the number he got from the Dolphins. Somehow I doubt they're going to miss Boldin all that much.
  10. In my experience the government is to blame for cost overruns and extending deadlines far more often than the contractor.
  11. How 'bout because that's how she puts food on her table?
  12. Note the date. "If Josh Reed is cut loose this offseason, we will rue the day. Especially since he'll likely end up someplace like Foxboro, where the coaches like players who do all the little things and aren't distractions when things aren't going their way."
  13. Welker was pretty damn good in Miami, though it was mostly on special teams.
  14. Oh, I don't disagree with any of that. I hate the friggin' Republican party. They campaign like libertarians and govern like liberals. The only real difference between the Republicans and Democrats are who they pander to. I doubt Bunning is trying to score many points since he's retiring at the end of the term but I totally get that point and it hits very close to home.
  15. Considering the message is all but completely lost, I'd say you're wrong. I guess I see the glass being half full and perhaps this is the step that finally starts the long journey towards Washington doing business in a responsible manner. Though I doubt it.
  16. Your math is a little short. It's more like the past 40 years. I can't think of a better time because otherwise people don't pay attention. The problem is people have had the opposite reaction that they should have. The next time you think Washington is !@#$ing the little guy over, realize that your ambivalence is a big reason.
  17. How 'bout because Paygo wasn't signed the law until the middle of February of 2010? Nah, it couldn't be that simple. It's because Jim Bunning loves banks and hates working people. We can also ignore that Bunning was the ONLY Senator to vote against Bernanke to lead the Fed, with his main point being about the BANKING BAILOUTS. Bunning Grilling Bernanke Our government has ALWAYS been in the pockets of those with the most money. Doesn't matter which party or what issue we're talking about. It's not likely to change as long as people whine EVERY TIME a politician stands up and tries to make the others play by the rules. Jim Bunning is the devil. The other people who wanted to borrow some more money we don't have are all just swell.
  18. McGwire retired and basically went into seclusion until the Cardinals hired him this offseason. As soon as that happened, the media went after him. In the last 2 weeks there have been 2 significant stories and one of them involved his estranged brother. It has nothing to do with color of skin. It has to do with color of money.
  19. No John, he's taking a stand against a government that doesn't even pay for the things it actually taxes DIRECTLY for. The Democrats thought this was so bad they passed a rule against new costs that didn't have direct spending or taxation offsets. Of course, they put in a provision for "emergencies", which is yet another government "Get out of Jail Free" card because virtually everything is an emergency once Washington gets their hands on it. At some point everyone needs to realize that the government is putting Americans on the hook for a whole bunch of things we can't afford, so when the things we really do pay for (like FUTA) come up, there's not enough money to fund them. That's not likely to change as long as we spend time demonizing individual politicians while giving a very broken system a pass. That makes us lemmings. All you do is write your opinion, right? It sure does.
  20. I can't wait for Step 9. He'll be long dead before he finishes apologizing for all the **** he's wrong about.
  21. The Cardinals know that Bolden is 30, oft-injured, and a distraction in their room because of his contract. They also know they have the best WR in the game in Fitz, a very good replacement for Boldin in Breaston, and an up and coming Doucet. WR isn't a problem for them. Somehow I doubt Bolden signs in Buffalo for anywhere near the money he got from Baltimore. Probably need an additional 10 million. Yeah, we suck that much.
  22. Athletes today are damned if the do and damned if they don't. Delhomme cared about his performance and he was a leader on that team. Yeah, he cried because he wanted to get it done, didn't, and felt that he let a lot down a lot of people. Let's rip the guy for actually caring.
