  1. Yes. That's one I don't think I'll ever get over. Especially considering they went Wood/Levitre later.
  2. It's going to be hard to get playing time from the practice squad.
  3. Loyalty. Not stupidity. Ralph has made plenty of money. Spare me the sob story for a multi-millionaire who's basically an absentee scrooge. My life isn't miserable. The ability to see reality as it is doesn't make me miserable. And this "privelege" has been paid for, quite dearly, by the populace of WNY. Because successful people tend to understand both legacy and consequence. Ralph has made a pile of money, mostly it seems, in spite of himself. No one said anything about a new owner being "free spending". That doesn't equal success, either. He hasn't "kept tickets at or near the lowest in the league" for any reason other than that is what the market for his ****ty football team will bear. If the BILLS were the Patriots, he would be charging a king's ransom.
  4. Yeah, all hail King Ralph - the man who has given us mediocrity (or worse) for 90% of his ownership. If the team moves when he dies, that's his fault as well. His short-sightedness is his most pervasive trait. Hail. Hail.
  5. Worse than that, they traded up for McCargo with Mangold still sitting there. How much different does this team look with Ngata, Oher, and Mangold instead of Whitner, Maybin, and McCargo? Friggin' BILLS.
  6. So 28th in the NFL in scoring offense is now "maximizing effectiveness"? 33 catches for 400 yards and 2 TDs is "maximizing effectiveness"? Excuse me while I laugh my ass off.
  7. I don't blame Nix because this kind of stuff has happened throughout Ralph's ownership, and especially since friggin' Overdorf/Littman have been at the helm financially. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Nix wasn't involved at all.
  8. You're right. Evans wouldn't have put up better numbers with Bledsoe/Flutie than he did with JP Losman and Captain Checkdown. Is Evans Larry Fitzgerald? Nope. Is he a "one dimensional, one route" wide receiver? Not even close. He's the product of a horribly run organization that rarely puts its most gifted players in the position to maximize their effectiveness. The BILLS drafted Evans in the first round, wasted his talents, then tossed him aside for a fourth round draft choice. We can pretend it's a good move but this franchise's history shows otherwise. The locker room has cancer yet again, and the season hasn't even started.
  9. Which means Ken Whisenhunt is apparently smarter than the last 10 years of BILLS' coaches and understands that you need to get the ball to your best players. Perhaps that's why he's actually been to the Super Bowl.
  10. I doubt Andre Johnson has caught a dozen balls in his career when he's doubled. To say otherwise is ludicrous. If Andre Johnson played for the BILLS with Drew Bledsoe/JP Losman/Trent Edwards/some loser from Green Bay/Ryan Fitzpatrick with Dick Jauron and Mike Mularkey as his head coach, he'd look one dimension too. Right. The problems with Buffalo's offense are because Lee Evans can't get open. Not because of poor QB play for a decade, an OLine that has been among the worst in NFL history for the same time frame, or mediocre (or worse) coaching. That damn one-dimensional Lee Evans (shakes fist like angry old muppet guy).
  11. Right. Because stuff like this is exclusive to Buddy Nix. The BILLS have zero history of this kind of crap. Just like they'd never fire an OC and cut their starting LT the week before the season opener or IR their defensive leader during training camp because he wouldn't renegotiate. This franchise is run like garbage and has been for nearly 50 years. If you take out two short glory periods, this team makes Mike Brown's Cincinnati Bengals look like the New York Yankees.
  12. Let's see how good he is after his jersey gets dirty. It's friggin' preseason.
  13. There's a reason to carry concealed over your ass crack...
  14. I'd rather have had the LT/C/G. This team hasn't had a real center since Hull and Wood is going to be that guy. Of course, we could have gone Orakpo if we'd drafted Mangold instead of McCargo. Imagine an interior of Levitre/Mangold/Wood with Oher. I've been a fan of this team for 40 years. I'd believe just about any related circle jerkism that someone would offer based on experience. It's how Ralph runs the show.
  15. I wanted Oher. Imagine if that draft had been Oher/Wood/Levitre.
  16. I'm waiting for the new HTC to hit the stores. HTC Puccini
  17. I have a Craftsman which is made by Husqvarna. I like it for a variety of reasons: 1. It has the biggest engine in its class. Engine size is important if you have hills or plan on using your mower for things besides moving (towing a trailer, aerating, thatching, plowing, etc). 2. EVERY part is available online and they're easy to find. You can go to Sears' website and put in your model number. It brings up every schematic drawing for every assembly in an exploded view. Every part number is listed. There are numerous websites (including Sears) that have the parts and will deliver them to your house, so if you're handy, you can replace the things that break or wear out. For example, I've had my mower for six years and needed to replace a bearing on the blade shaft. Took five minutes and cost six bucks. My buddy basically rebuilt his entire electrical system because he caught the damn mower on fire mulching leaves (not the mower's fault, my buddy is an idiot). He'd probably have had to buy a new mower for the price to repair it if Sears didn't make it so easy. 3. The Craftsman Husq's seem to be far more refined than comparably priced models from other manufacturers. I don't think anyone makes bad mowers anymore - the market is too competitive. I probably wouldn't buy one of the "residential" zero turns because they're built out of far lower quality parts than the commercial equivalents and you could pick up a serious ZTR with really low hours for close to the same money as a new JD/CC/Toro/Snapper/Husq zero turn and it'll last 10 times longer.
  18. Thanks for wasting the EIGHTH pick in the first round on this douche. Jeezus.
  19. Not really but I can see how you might say that. I call things the way I see them. When people do good things, I thanks them. When they're retarded mouth breathers, I hit them in the head with a shovel. It's too bad the retarded mouth breathers vastly outnumber those who do good things.
  20. I just wanted to say thanks again for spending your time keeping the rest of us informed. You're awesome.
  21. It's easy to claim "small market" except every team gets a pretty good percentage of their revenue from television. It's easy to claim "income tax" except the JETS' and Giants' (and others) players pay really high income taxes but have no issues sticking around or signing as free agents. Those free agents will spend SIGNIFICANTLY more money to equal the standard of living they'd enjoy in Buffalo. It's easy to say "weather" until you realize that Green Bay and Pittsburgh have pretty crappy weather and have zero problem building quality football teams using every available avenue. The only reason the BILLS can't compete is because their owner has stuck with the same vision/tactics that has had the team mired in the NFL basement for most of his tenure. The Polian era was the aberration of Ralph's ownership, not the rule. Those of you who find other reasons for the continued failures are simply too young to see the history repeat itself yet again. I actually have small reason for hope because of Gailey/Nix. They seem to have a clue about how to build a football team, despite the handcuffs that have obviously been placed on them.
