  1. Again, what coach has won without great talent? It takes talent, coaching, and luck to win regularly in the NFL. The Patriots have been a model organization for a decade. How do the Colts look without Peyton Manning?
  2. David Nelson getting the stuffing knocked out of him, popping up and screaming "Let's GO!" at the crowd. Buddy has brought in smart, tough, confident players, something this organization has been sorely lacking. The greatest lack of talent this franchise has had for the last decade is between its ears.
  3. Next week's Packer's Special Teams' meeting is going to resemble Gunnery Sergeant Hartman's "briefing" with Private Pyle: "What side was that kick called to?" "Left Side, Sir!" What side is this?" <SMACK!> "RIGHT SIDE, SIR!" "Are you sure? What side is THIS!" <SMACK!> "LEFT SIDE, SIR!" Repeat
  4. What coach regularly wins without great players? That's a ridiculous point. I don't know how the guy is because he obviously hates the camera. I don't know if he doesn't have a strong relationship with his players or not. I'd take a team that gets to the playoffs every season and wins a SB here or there.
  5. That was one of the great plays in NFL history. The referee that called that penalty should be fired.
  6. I'll believe it when we play a team with a decent pass defense. The Pats, KC, and the Raiders are all horrible against the pass.
  7. Holy crap, a M!@#$ who isn't one? Anyone else looking for a meteor or bit of satellite? Good luck next week against the Raiders - that's going to be a good game.
  8. You post that and have the audacity to call Belichick a crybaby? A little hypocritical, don't you think? It didn't "cost him a timeout". He had to take one because Jackson was tackled in the field of play and the referees were going to wind the clock. His argument was whether or not the clock should be started because of the review process. You know, it's OK to hate the guy but to sit here and nitpick every damn thing is ridiculous. The guy has coached a team that year in and year out is at the top of the NFL, regardless of what gets thrown at them, including winning 11 games with Matt friggin' Cassel at QB. He's adapted his coaching/personnel to fit the strength of his group, including throwing a ton of resources at his offense to the detriment of the side of the ball he made his name coaching.
  9. I wasn't upset when they cut him - he had a terrible preseason and looked to have taken a serious step back. It remains to be seen if he can play at a consistent level because he never has. Aaron Williams has a very high ceiling and he wasn't going to begin his climb without getting reps. He had a rough couple of series against KC but began adapting to the game very quickly. Bryan Scott is a "Feast or Famine" kind of guy. He looks much quicker this season - more instinctive. The last couple of seasons he really struggled against the pass.
  10. Freddie looks exactly the same to me as he has his entire tenure - except now there are PLENTY of holes and with the spread, and lots of little fellas on the field for him to run over/through/around. The scheme has taken all the beef out of the middle of the field and with Levitre having a Pro Bowl season (how much does that dude look like Alan Faneca right now?), there are gaping holes to run through. The second level is no longer filled with gap stuffing 250 pound LBers - instead there are 205 pound DBs who aren't normally strong in run support. Freddie has had more huge runs in 3 weeks than we've seen in the last decade. He could have run for 300 yesterday and there wasn't a damn thing the Patriots could do to stop it other than completely change personnel/scheme. That would have been a disaster because they can't cover anything even with their nickle/dime on the field. The other interesting thing is how little personnel flex we see from the BILLS on early downs. That keeps defenses from changing out, meaning tired DLinemen are having to play more often. That helps the OLine a ton and gives us some serious matchup advantages, which we're obviously exploiting. The Pats chose their poison and got beat by Fitz' arm (mostly). Their choice wasn't going to matter much because they weren't going to stop us.
  11. Mine either. There's no way Nelson could've gotten back to that duck. Terrible call.
  12. NFL defenders don't know how to adapt to the new rules. Every time they make a decent play, they're getting flagged. The best example today was when Byrd got hit for 15 yards for a clean tackle on Welker.
  13. Could be? His performance the last 2 weeks has been mind boggling. He's already special, a fact that became obvious when Belichick started rolling coverage to him in the second half.
  14. As soon as it started looking like he was going to score I started yelling "Too soon! Too Soon!". Forever a heart broken BILLS fan!
  15. That was a horrible call and conformation. I'm amazed that's even possible.
  16. That's because a single person can't do it.
  17. The game was in London, Ontario. Says it twice in the article's very first paragraph.
  18. Stay in your seat during play and don't try to return to your seat during play.
  19. Yeah, because that's only happening in America and only at this time.
  20. Wayne Simmonds is Canadian, not American. I don't know if he's "African Canadian" because I'm not sure how stuff like that works in Canada.
  21. I think 3 hippies just got a lesson in how complicated the world outside Berkley's little "Utopia" really is.
  22. There isn't a coach in the NFL who wins without superior talent. That's reality.
  23. Is this the first time you've read his posts or something?
