  1. You're an idiot. Why don't you give us a few examples of the government taking over something and making it cheaper and more efficient. You know, since this is such a good idea.
  2. That wham block and David Nelson's reaction after getting his lid knocked off were the two best "non-scoring" plays of the game. Cory Mac has been an absolute demon on special teams. It's amazing a man that size can move at that speed.
  3. Congrats on surviving that season with Cassel at the helm. That was enough for most die hard Pats' fans to change allegiances.
  4. What alternative to government run/commercial insurance are YOU proposing? Or are you being hypocritical? Changing how things are paid for isn't going to fix ANY of the issues that currently make health care in this country expensive. That's barely even an issue. Maybe we could get DoD's contracting arm to negotiate health care. We all know how good they are at getting things "better, faster, and cheaper."
  5. Agreed. I don't miss Hangartner's "Sonic the Hedgehog" impression against the bigger NTs. Wood is a huge improvement. Dude is nasty.
  6. I think the BILLS have the best scheme and execution through the first 3 weeks. The OLine is certainly a part of that. I no longer fear them imploding. In fact, I have extreme confidence in them in short yardage situations (the glaring exception is Chandler, who is 50/50 on handling his blocking responsibility). That's quite a departure from the past.
  7. Aaron Boone visited the Red Sox locker room BEFORE last night's game.
  8. I watched a little of last week's game and a little more of the game against the Eagles. It looks to me like Matt Ryan is a tick late making his decisions and that's really costing them. There have been plays available but they aren't making most of them.
  9. Why wouldn't he have had average numbers when the teams he played on were so bad?
  10. I thought Fitz was really good most of the time last season but he lost out on important snaps in training camp because they continued to be enamored with "everyday but Sunday" Edwards, so most of the season was getting comfortable with Chan and the other players and figuring out how to best utilize the skill sets of each. I give the new regime full marks for realizing very quickly that Trent was a practice field Pro Bowler and that Fitz is probably the polar opposite. I'm even more amazed at how quickly they've jelled this season without OTAs and with the relative inexperience at WR and TE. This team is on the verge of being something special if the defense can get its **** together and play up to its potential. Fitz' play and leadership are a big part of it.
  11. You get to be 2-1 when you play 3 of the worst teams in the AFC to start your season. I guess the Colts and Dolphins have top notch defenses too, since the stats the Browns put up against them are remarkably similar to the game with the Bengals. Averaging 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing a week means a record of about 4-12 when the season is over.
  12. I can't wait to see those juggernaut offenses from SF, Denver, and Cleveland start lighting up the scoreboards around the league now that they've gotten past the Bengals. The only way the BILLS lose this week is if they don't prepare and then play down to Cincinnati's level - basically beating themselves. The Bengals are one of the 5 worst teams in the NFL.
  13. "If we lose to the Buffalo friggin' BILLS, I'll let Welker shave me from head to toe." "!@#$!"
  14. Don't buy a ticket until you walk up to the stadium, then find the best seat you can for half face or less. I'm not kidding.
  15. George Wilson and Aaron Williams made a point of coming back from the midfield "team gathering" after the Chiefs' game ended to salute the fans who sat behind the BILLS' bench.
  16. In our fatter, more unhealthy society? Really? Want to make health care cheaper? Try addressing the things that make it expensive instead of trying to create a boogie man so the government can take over. Nah, that's hard.
  17. I think it's probably easier to be more accurate when you're regularly throwing the ball to WIDE OPEN receivers. There have been more guys running free the first 3 games of this season than probably the last 5 seasons combined. The BILLS are confusing the hell out of defenses with both scheme and formation and Fitz is the direct beneficiary.
  18. Ever been to another country? If you had, you wouldn't say "only in America". I've encountered stone cold racists who make the same broad generalities in every country I've ever been to and the continent of Europe has more blatant/overt racism than anywhere I've ever been. It's almost institutional. It's actually sad that America is so far ahead of most of the world on this issue because we've still got so far to go.
  19. Super Bowl Rouge. New, undocumented rule put in specifically so the BILLS finally win the Super Bowl.
  20. Sure, if he could completely reverse his momentum by stopping on a dime, run full speed in the other direction, while getting around the defender between him and the other defender. Now try living in reality
  21. I think in the grand scheme of things, it is just as important. The team is riding high and has a ton of confidence. They think (right now) that they're as good as anyone. Losing to the Bengals would be an enormous step back considering how far they've come. If you want to be an elite team, you HAVE to win the games you're supposed to win - pound the teams you're better than.
  22. Bad throw. That throw can't be high - it has to be numbers or lower. Should receivers catch balls they touch? Most of them - but if a QB throws high to a tightly covered receiver, the result we got is just as likely as a catch. It plays into the DBs strengths. My concern with him is he doesn't catch the ball with his hands every time, especially when he's tightly covered. He makes little hops to get his body in front of the ball, especially when he's facing the QB. That all but ensures he's not going to get any YAC and increases the likelihood of having a tip drill. Those are coachable things, as long as he's confident in his hands.
