  1. My opinion, if you are a step or two past Jackson, then he is also a step or two ahead of you. And you are not catching him anytime soon. Make him beat us from the pocket throwing outside.
  2. Why so much shade about Norman? To my eyes, Norman neither stands out significantly better or worse than other options. Norman: Allowed 19 catches on 27 targets, 23 solo tackles in 344 snaps, a couple game changing plays. Levi Wallace: Allowed 34 catches on 61 targets, 43 solo tackles in 612 snaps, 2 picks. For what it's worth, PFF grade is 9 points higher for Norman compared to Wallace.
  3. IMO - If our front four could eat up the RBs more often, our LBs and Safeties would be more inclined to cover the TEs. Andrews is definitely coverable by our guys, but if the LBs are chasing Jackson and Dobbins, who is left to cover Andrews? Kelce is a tough matchup for any defense and there's no stopping that connection short of double coverage or an incredible pass rush. Tre White was able to frustrate Gronk the other year.
  4. Hopefully the extra juice provided by 6,700 frenzied fans will lead to a strong start.
  5. I hope 6,700 strong give the Bills some early juice and help to neutralize the good running game of the Colts.
  6. There should be quality veterans at many positions next year to fill any holes or provide depth at low cost on one year deals. The Bills will be an intriguing destination for them. At LB, I like what I see from 44 and wouldn't mind him seeing more time on D. I would look to keep the OLINE pass pro strong above anything else.
  7. I would expect Jets to take a hard look at Fields, despite Sam Darnold being on the roster. Miami is likely sold on Tua and will look to trade down.
  8. He has better stats in the last few weeks, in part due to the defenses he has faced. But he is big and fast and very prolific in college. Hines is wicked shifty and very fast as well. Both players are recorded as amongst the fastest ball carriers this season. Game is Saturday 1pm. Game on.
  9. Fromm was not elevated, did not see any WRs that I can see. Do you think Allen and Diggs will completely sit or play a quarter or two?
  10. The headline is more interesting than the video.
  11. There is a chance 0.1% that the Bills get the #1 seed. The scenario is this: Bills win out Steelers win out KC loses out Several of the teams that the Bills beat (including the Jets) win giving us a higher strength of victory Several of the teams that KC beat lose giving them a lower strength of victory I am still holding out hope, but not really.
  12. We all know Buffalo's offense, and generally most good offenses, have audibles built right into the play call. I hear Allen changing to these alternates very often. Alert = run the alternate play. Reset = back to base play. This works well if you have smart players that can recall two or three assignments and execute them, while remembering the snap count, and when you have a quarterback that can get you into the right play. Not so secret decoder on other things you hear: Blue (sky) (80) = Pass, perhaps the pass audible of the play call. Green (grass) (18) = Run, traditionally RB1 through the 8 hole, outside TE, wide right. Rex Ryan or Red Robin = Run Right (wild guess). I have always figured "Omaha" was Manning's "Alert" audible. But I just read that it is a stock play call (which was one of a couple well known plays, that changed depending on the situation, like what quarter or wind direction). I'm not sure I'm buying that as I'm not sure how formations, personnel, and motions would be accounted for. But it does roll off the tongue easier than switching at the LOS to some real play like "Green Right X Shift to Viper Right 382 X Stick Option Lookie".
  13. I would rest White, Edmunds, Milano, Dawkins, Williams, Feliciano, Morse, and our three WRs. I would play Allen sparingly, a few handoffs. 1st seed is out of reach now, so there is no bye week coming our way. Many scenarios have us re-playing the Dolphins week 1, if we lose to them week 17. Many scenarios have us playing the Ravens week1, if we beat the Dolphins week 17. IMO, the Ravens are playing better ball right now.
  14. The Bills are auditioning for folks to play on their hail marry team. There is only one job requirement.
  15. It was a squib kick that bounced a few times before going into the end zone.
  16. At this moment, the #1 seed is still possible. Here's the scenario: * Bills win out * KC loses two, to the Chargers and also either to the Saints or Falcons. * Steelers lose exactly one game (CIN, IND, CLE) forcing a three way tie. In this scenario, Buffalo is predicted to win a three-way tie breaker based on strength of victory. http://www.espn.com/nfl/playoffs/machine Of the teams the Bills would be best to face, I think this is the easiest order: Dolphins, Colts, Steelers, Titans, Browns, KC. Reasoning is that Bills have fared better against tough defenses than tough offenses.
  17. Flying under the radar.
  18. But did he kiss the ref on the lips?
  19. San Diego. 1:15 Hey! Seems like 10-20 years on this site and I have my first merged post above. Would you look at that.
  20. George Wilson. Pick 6 against Dallas on Monday night.
  21. But can he play on Hail Mary defense?
  22. Josh Allen? Edmunds?
  23. 2021 - Under rookie contract 2022 - 5th year option 2023 - Guessing the franchise tag will be around $35M+, hard to say. If the level of his play continues to escalate, I'd hope a 5-year $200M contract extension starting in 2023 mostly guaranteed would be about right and would allow Josh to hit FA at least one more time while still in his prime.
  24. It was a designed fake run, pass play. You can tell by the way the OLINE faked run blocking, and then pass blocked. This was a great change-up from the other 20 times we ran it from a similar down/distance/field position with a similar formation and set. Another changeup was actually snapping the ball at the end of a quarter against favorable looks, when they had just been going for the off-sides calls.
