  1. It has happened: 2011- #28: New England → New Orleans (D). New England traded this selection to New Orleans for New Orleans' second-round selection in 2011 (56th overall) and first-round selection in 2012. Although it's far more likely to land a 2nd and 3rd in 2021 for the 30th overall pick this year, if New Orleans came to the table with a deal like this again, I would take it.
  2. They need a freaking franchise QB and they do THIS!!! Probably will set the team back 3 years. BTW - who did they sign?
  3. Bojo, Norman, Brown, McKenzie - please come back - even if it's on a team-friendly deal to let the salary cap mess to pass. Roberts - you will be missed. It was great having you here for a couple years. Good luck in Houston. Assistant coach Barkley?
  4. I believe his 4.5M base salary is fully guaranteed, so the only reason to cut him would be if he was not worth the 1M in roster and workout bonuses. Basically they would have to believe that they are better off with a 3rd round pick in the rotation rather than Star. If that was the case, he could be cut to save 1M and develop a younger player and then they would be forced to restructure someone to handle the dead cap. Hopefully he is committed to playing and has a great year for us this year.

  6. RT is important for sure. Assuming there is a training camp and no Williams, there would be a competition, with Ford or Bates being the projected starter. Ty is UFA so they are thin on the OL for sure until they make moves. The draft should continue to be BPA. If that's an RT in round one or two, so be it. But having a top LB or RB fall to them works too. I'd expect there will be a couple vets on one-year deals available to fill in this year (it's an odd year salary-cap-wise), and they will be needed.
  7. Given those contract values, I would take Milano, Watt, and Feliciano over Yannick and Williams.
  8. Good player, but not very physical. I'd rather have Milano for about the same price and no pick.
  9. DEFENSE: Use two deep safeties Double team Kelce Pressure when they pass Shed blockers and tackle the RB because it's 8-on-7 not counting the QB OFFENSE: Do what we do Be capable of running the football against dime defense Don't settle for FGs when you are inside the 5 unless your defense is working
  10. Part of the deal with taking Goff was taking on that contract, otherwise it would have been fewer picks. We'll see what Watson goes for, but he should will be traded for Tua and two firsts. That makes too much sense. Allen's value would be similar, but he is really not tradable. For example, would you trade Allen for Watson and a 2022 1st? Seems about fair based on production and contract status, but that would just be a betrayal to all of the fans, the teammates, and to Allen.
  11. Cut: Brown, Butler, Smith Re-sign: Feliciano, William, Boettger, Bojorquez After that, they will still be about 5M over the cap and will need to restructure Morse and Hughes or make another high salary cut. Add in draft picks and a couple serviceable league minimum veterans and that's your 2021 team. Key losses: Milano, Brown, Wallace, Norman, Roberts. Yeldon, we hardly knew ya. Priority 1: Allen to have another great offseason and keep improving like he has every year so far. Priority 2: Find a running game.
  12. Some quick cap analysis: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/ We are about 6M over the cap right now with top 51. Rookies may be just a bit more expensive than the bottom players, so perhaps we are 8M over after rookies. Possible cap savings: L Smith 2M M Addison 6M J Brown 8M Q Jefferson 6.5M V Butler 7M Of those, perhaps Brown and Butler underperformed in 2020. In fact, for 2021, perhaps all of them project to underperform, given that there will be serviceable veterans available this year for a one year deals closer to league minimum. Those cuts would be enough to re-sign our three guys listed and maybe a couple other one-year fill in players. I suspect a couple one-year fill-ins will play an important role in the 2021 Bills. Possible re-signings: Milano Williams McKenzie
  13. Finally, someone around here can fix sentences.
  14. In points, sure. In total yards.... the Bills were the ones buried the last two games. To be the best, you need to beat the best. And that may happen this week and next. Double everyone and also commit to stopping the run. They've got this. Go Bills!
  15. Brissette and three first rounders?
  16. Sounds good to me, but it takes two to tango.
  17. Step 1: Rest and recovery. This one is simple. ... Step 2: Light aerobic activities. The player can participate in things like riding a stationary bike or treadmill. ... Step 3: More aerobic exercise and strength training. ... Step 4: Football specific activities. ... Step 5: Full football activity. An independent neurologist is involved during these steps. The average length of time a player misses is 19 days. But this did not look like a wicked hit to me. We won't really know more until later in the week.
  18. Another forced fumble yesterday.
  19. Wow, I figured all along that QBR was based on stats. In both games, Allen was facing the statistically better defense. In both games, Allen has little help from the running game and the opposing RBs were solid contributors. Rivers was facing a game plan specifically designed to stop the RBs. To Jackson's credit, our defensive game plan was mostly to stop him from running, but that opens up passing stats. Both games were close into the 4th quarter. In both games Allen outplayed his counterpart. It turns out that QBR is quite subjective and based also on the inverse of awesomeness of your quarterback, or more appropriately the protection afforded to you by your offense line. From Wikipedia: Each QB "action play" (passes, rushes, sacks, scrambles, or penalties attributable to the QB) is measured in terms of the expected points added (EPA) Adjust for the difficulty of each play. EPA is adjusted based on the type and depth of a pass, and whether the QB was pressured. If there is a completion, he only is credited for the typical number of yards after the catch (passer rating takes all yards into effect) based on the type and depth of the pass There is a discount on garbage time, or a time where the score is out of reach near the end of the game. Opponent adjustment: More credit is given with tougher defenses and vice versa. QBR averages the adjusted EPA per play and transforms it to a 0 to 100 scale, with 50 being average.
  20. Awesome win against a great Ravens squad. The game overall was well played and closer than the score, with the Hughs/TJ play sequence basically a 14 point swing. Bring on whomever is next!
  21. "Billsy" - that term means something completely different in this context than it would have a few years ago.
