Thanks for the data. From a productivity point of view, rushing yards when all WRs are blanketed should count for something too. That's where Allen, Wentz, Watson, Trubisky, and Jackson would get a bump over their peers. Allen passes the eyeball test. He was decent last year, despite OL/WR deficiencies. There is no doubt that Allen should be in for an even better season, with a better group of guys upfront and with improved pass catchers - especially if Foster can improve in year 2. The thing I liked most about Allen was his ability to turn an otherwise pathetic offense into a competitive one (albeit inconsistently). I'd expect Allen to get to 59%+ and also a middle of the road offense in 2019 (16th) with upside to get into the top 10. Anything less will be a disappointment.

Rams & Chiefs Offensive Lines
Rock'em Sock'em replied to Jerome007's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eric Fisher of the Chiefs had a dominant game. Mahomes is good when he has time, but he is excellent throwing accurate passes side-armed around rushers and to receivers he sometimes does not appear to be even looking at. He is unique in that way. Great players and coaches. The Rams are now what the Bills will be in two years with a few good FA signings, a marquee player via trade, and a couple good drafts. -
So realistically, who do you want at 9?
Rock'em Sock'em replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A play maker like White would be hard to pass up, even though it is not our biggest need. Milano would play in base and add depth to sub packages. If we're drafting for need and not going BPA, I'd like to see a trade down and address the lines and attempt to get a couple potential offensive play makers. That would be a solid approach too. -

So long as Palmer is not on the staff, Josh can work with Palmer all he wants during the off-season. -
2019 NFL Draft: Bills officially picking 9th
Rock'em Sock'em replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Winning today was sweet. Dropping from 7th to 9th in the draft is worth 150 value points - the value of a mid 3rd round pick. It was great to send Kyle off on a high note. It was great to see Josh Allen account for 5 TDs and get to .500 as a starter. -
I don't believe in the 3 year plan happening in '19
Rock'em Sock'em replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chicago turned it around with essentially a single player this year. Cleveland is on year 3 of a complete rebuild and has been competitive this year. I think we're more on the path of the Rams, who turned it around with an influx of offensive talent over 3 years. We're a few top players away, but we have resources to make serious strides in 2019. This is happening for us. -
Three defensive TDs and a fourth TD scored on very next play after a turnover count as part of that record score. It's not all offensive points in this game. I'd say this game had everything: pre-game hype, two scoop and scores, a pick six, multiple sacks, clutch catches, ten TD passes, a goal line stand, a TD drop, excellent punting by the RAMs, a few lead changes, a missed XP by each team, and two interceptions in the last 90 seconds to give the RAMS the win. How could this game have possibly been better?

How would you fix the Offense?
Rock'em Sock'em replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
- Play your best lineman for the rest of this year. - Play the young skill guys. - Keep developing Allen when ready and ahemmm... Peterman, if he's even in our next years plans. - In the draft, trade down/up and draft 2 offensive lineman and 2 WRs in the first two rounds. - Overpay for an established pro-bowl caliber WR or trade a 2020 2nd rounder for one. I'm thinking Brandon Cooks type move here. - Keep Daboll around at least another year. I believe the dearth of offensive talent is the biggest issue, followed closely by inexperienced QB play. Other than the defense's vast improvement, this year is no big surprise to anybody, is it? -
For those still complaining about Star..
Rock'em Sock'em replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Star is a rotational player who plays 20-25 (1/3) snaps per game. Hopefully he's making a difference for the plays that he's in there. Our run defense is better this year and he is definitely part of it. For what it's worth, PFF grades him as average based on their analysis (89th DL). https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl/players/star-lotulelei/7795 -
WEEK OPP dSNAP TKL AST SCK FF FR INT PD TD 1 at BAL 38 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 vs LAC 38 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 3 at MIN 24 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 The stats likely don't tell the whole story. But 24 plays... Role player. Kyle played 44 plays and had a tackle and a sack. Harrison Phillips played 23 plays, no stats. MIN was not running often, and Star is likely part of the run stuffing package.

Josh Gordon to be released-now traded to PATS
Rock'em Sock'em replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Which WR "reclamation project" would you rather have on this team. Gordon or Benjamin? Here's hoping both McCloud and Ford turn into something special. -
In 14 games against the NFL’s all-time sack leader, Buffalo Bills’ defensive end Bruce Smith, Webb allowed only 3 ½ sacks. http://www.talkoffamenetwork.com/richmond-webb-blocked-way-canton/

need 6 training camp tickets for 8/12
Rock'em Sock'em replied to joepa722's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Option 1: Call any of the businesses that have tickets - see if they can send you four (or six). Option 2: Show up 20 minutes early and wait for 6 extra tickets where you are waiting for the shuttle service. I've never tried this, but it's likely to work out. Tickets come in blocks of four, so often people have extra. Try option 1. If I'm in the area of a Safelite Autoglass early next week I'll pick up 4 extra tickets (or 6 if I can) and send them to you. If interested in that, direct message me by clicking on my "R" icon and send me details. -

First game. Need advice
Rock'em Sock'em replied to Thick or thin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are really two extremes, depending on what you are after. 1. Home opener. Good weather. Loud fans. 2. December 30th - Experience a snow game if you are lucky. Tickets may be cheap and stadium may not be full. Or else this is when they will clinch the AFC and get home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Hard to say. (no it's not). Most memorable game for me was against the Jets in November 1988. Clinched AFC East and goalposts came down. I went with a pile of college buddies and we all had free tickets in the 3rd row at the 20 yard line. -
If you could change one draft pick
Rock'em Sock'em replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
#1 - Trading Dallas the #20 pick in 2005 for JP Losman in 2004. The next year, Aaron Rodgers was drafted #25 overall. #2 - Maybin over Orakpo in 2009. Maybin had a quick first step ... right out of the NFL. -
