  1. Less than usual. 50/50 sounds as likely of a split this week as anything.
  2. At a minimum the team would need to hedge and get Barkley prepared in case Josh cannot go. There is limited practice time, so it means Josh may be less prepared.
  3. They may have went with the higher rated Watson and not Mahommes. We'll never know.
  4. DiMarco was not going to tote the rock much, if any. But Gore could be in for a lot of work this week with Allen in protocol, Singletary nursing a hammy, and Yeldon's upright running style.
  5. Diggs is a good player, but Hughes is as good of a player and at a more important position. If a trade were to happen, something like Diggs for Jones and a 3rd would be my guess.
  6. For what it's worth, my response was not what you quoted. The reality is that rub plays and crosses should be part of the Bills offense and I'm sure they are. The play in question looks to be intentional (attempted?) tripping, where there may or may not have been contact to the defender's back foot, and where the defender actually trips and falls. Pretty sure this is called by more than 50% of the time. And if it's called, it would not have been overturned.
  7. I recall Jags and Browns - both home games. May have been same year or a year apart. I found this video for the Jags. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap3000000565553/Bills-Nickell-Robey-called-for-pass-interference-on-Jaguars-game-winning-drive
  8. Three out of four are all starters on a very good defensive unit. I might be missing something with their play that doesn't equate to stats. Since short term cap space is about zero concern for the Bills, I'd decide using remaining value on the contract (which maximizes long term cap space). Murphy - 1 year $7M. Keep him, perhaps a compensation pick kicks in the following year. Thin at the position. Lawson - FA. In the mix if he wants to stay, but not a bank breaker. Star - 3 years $24M - about $8M per year. Hasn't shown a lot, IMO. But also not horrible if he is a good locker room guy. I would try to trade then move on. Peko played about the same for < $1M. HH is outplaying him. Lee Smith - 2 years $4.7M. Great in the locker room and as a mentor. Kind of a 6th lineman when he plays. Would love to see him as H-back. Decent contract. Keep him.
  9. Because it will be called offensive PI on review 9 times out of 10
  10. Allen played the same against the Jets, except he was able to come in and get a 4th quarter comeback. But he did not have that opportunity yesterday, unfortunately. The punt block was the killer. Does our punt team know what to do when they are facing 10 rushers? Off topic: Pats* punter is fantastic. Duke Williams probably catches that 4th down TD pass. This game was there for the taking, but we could not completely overcome the punt block, all four turnovers, and the tripping no-call.
  11. Using standard three dot ellipsis and correct spelling is appreciated as well... Signed, The half of the internet that does not really care.
  12. Their offense is multiple and will adjust to whatever your defense is not stopping, so you need to be capable of stopping it all. I'm very curious how the "1/11th" mantra works out this week. We have the skills to stop it all. So with that mindset, it could just come down to a chess match between Brady and our defense each play. If we don't give up big plays and get our "wins" on 3rd down and in the red zone, we will have a good chance.
  13. Later in the game, on Knox's end-around, Williams tried the same thing to Knox and got banged up on that play as well.
  14. Happened on an end-around with 4:14 left in the first quarter. 36 (Shawn Williams) pulled Brown out of bounds by the back of his helmet. Brown took offense I suspect. Can't really see the infraction as there are too many bodies blocking the shot.
  15. He was pretty good in the first half. If Gore doesn't score the winning TD and the Bills lose 17-14, would Josh Allen's grade change? How much should Allen's grade change because the team was able to punch the ball in from the one after a great 4th quarter drive? Considering the Bills got the win, C+. Still lots of room to improve. Arrow seems to be pointing up with him.
  16. Bengals deferred and chose ball second half. They don't get to choose ball and direction. Bills chose which direction to kick off. Pretty sure that's how it works unless rules have changed.
  17. Also chose to kick into the wind to start the second half...
  18. Keeping it real and ready for anything in his "all conditions gear" tee.
  19. Thanking "many people". Not necessarily AB.
  20. Certainly true now, but also: NYJ were a different team when we played them. The Bills coupled with Darnold's mono may have made them into a bottom of the barrel team. NYG had the #1 offense in the preseason and put up 450+ yards at Dallas. The Bills held them to under 400 yards in their home opener and now Eli is benched.
  21. Hitting on a run or two in pre-season week three still gives me hope.
  22. If the Bills go with just two active RBs, Kroft and Sweeney may both be active. Otherwise, I'd expect Sweeney to be inactive.
  23. Also, Byron Marshall played for both WAS and PHI (couple years back). Vincent Taylor played for MIA. Likely a coincidence.
  24. FYI - Kroft was full practice today. https://buffalowdown.com/2019/09/18/buffalo-bills-tyler-kroft-full-participant-practice-ahead-week-3/ Hopefully DS's injury was minor and he is ready to go this week.
