  1. We tried that a couples times down at the goal line on the second drive. The result was not pretty. One the Gore plays, we simply got out played on the lines. But they made other plays....
  2. Foster down the left side. But again, for a 2nd game in a row Foster showed that he can get open deep. I think a big play or two will come soon.
  3. When he landed on the guy, it looked like his upper leg touched the ground. Also, refs likely called down by forward momentum.
  4. Team: Win. Allen: 10 straight completions, complete one deep ball.
  5. Hmmm... I guess there's a good chance that we'll be on this list next year. https://www.sportscasting.com/the-5-worst-teams-to-win-a-super-bowl-2/
  6. One comes to mind: Bills - LB Tyrel Dodson - Misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Albeit Domestic Abuse related, not drug related.
  7. I re-watched the first quarter of the Dolphins game focusing on Star. He was double teamed on most running plays. Though he did not get overwhelmed by the blocks, he failed to shed any of them to help out on tackles. There were opportunities to do that on a couple of the longer runs. On pass plays, he was single blocked and he failed to penetrate or beat his man. One pass play he was able to push his blocker back a yard or two. No sense of urgency in his game. In summary, he is just not really an "active" player, which the stat sheet confirms.
  8. Kudos for the detailed post, but this does not logically counter the argument that the Bills are 5-1, have not won convincingly, and faced many of the bottom teams. NYJ: Bills +1, rest of NFL per game +15. NYG: Bills +14, others +5. CIN: Bills +4, others +13 NEP: Bills -6, others -28 TEN: Bills +7, others +3 MIA: Bills +10, others +27 TOTAL: Bills: +30, others: +35. Summary: There are mitigating circumstances for sure, but other NFL teams are playing the Bills' competition about the same (slightly higher win marging) than the Bills played them. I'm hopeful the wins continue, and i expected playoffs this year, but I would not rank the Bills as a top "power team" based solely on their record. What you can say is that they competed and beat the teams on their schedule and came out with W's.
  9. If PFF's ratings were based on 4th quarter comebacks, JA would be on top.
  10. Playoff contenders. A cockamamie ruling. Tyreek Hill can jump!
  11. KC has receivers that can fly. When was the last time a Bills WR caught a hero ball jump ball TD against double coverage? It's ridiculous that Watkins is their 4th or 5th option. With Mahommes and that crew, I think KC offense will be fine. And by fine, I mean really really good.
  12. That would have made room for Duke or perhaps even Murphy who led our RBs the last two years with 5.9 and 4.8 YPA.
  13. It was forward. Slightly. Lateral or not that was some boneheaded clock management. You are in FG range. The clock is stopped at 20 seconds. Price just made a great play to get you a first down. You have no timeouts. What do you do? Run, Spike, Kick. Game over. Even if the Titans don't get a TD, they had time to get a play or two and then kick a long FG. And we had a poor coverage unit all season long.
  14. You can go "on two" with a second tap. It's not too different than a audible snap count.
  15. They misspelled Christian Wade. (Sorry had to do it.)
  16. Using the Eyeball test, the Patriots* defense is top five. We are also top five. Neither defense has done it against good offenses. The Bills have at least done it against a couple average offenses. Patriots* gave up over 400 yards to the Bills - the only average offense they've faced, and it was on JA's worst day. Tougher stretch of games coming the Patriots way...
  17. 61 yards, touchback, net 41. 33 yards, fair catch at 10 39 yards, fair catch at 12 64 yards, net 62 47 yards, fair catch at 14 56 yards, touchback, net 36. His three long kicks (61, 64, 56) averaged net 46.33 despite two touchbacks. Not too shabby. Probably his best day.
  18. He certainly had some nice punts that out distanced the gunners by quite a bit. I think we dodged a bullet on one or two. It looked like the coverage was getting caught up by blockers more so than usual. But perhaps Bojorquez was just booming lower than normal punts.
  19. Great! Now the Patriots* will sign him and he will miss 4 FGs against us week 16!
  20. I pretty much know everything about this game. ? I was just answering the question and providing a synopsis about what followed after the foul. Also, I believe there is still a 5-15 rule where personal fouls are not offset by Offside and such, though I have not seen that apply in a long time.
  21. I don't know if he has the stature for that exactly, but it may be an improvement if he could be a "steady/smart" RT.
  22. Holding on offense, unnecessary roughness on defense. Penalties offset. 3rd and 10. Barkley came in and threw a 30 yard dime to Brown against a heavy blitz, in which Gilmore interfered with Brown. But Brown made a fantastic one handed catch regardless.
  23. There are no restrictions on how a team uses their practice squad players in practice. I read here that Duke was practicing with Special Teams this week. I'd wager he'll be active and he'll play snaps on kick coverage and a couple red zone offense plays.
  24. Close games usually come down to several plays, any one of which can change a game. Allen's 3 INTs RT whiffing leading to Barkley's INT? Blocked punt? Allen getting knocked out? Failure to run in a TD from the 1 yard line or bad play call? Dropped TD catch? 15 yards of field position lost every punt exchange? Defense balled out.
