I wonder how the salary cap and offsets work for the Bills when the Titans picked him up then cut him a week later. EDIT: Now signed by the Bucs.

Who’s the best Left Tackle you have ever watched?

Specifically against Bruce Smith: Richmond Web -
I don't have the link, but someone with inside knowledge posted on Reddit that this whole thing with Tyler Bass was just an elaborate 9 week ruse to mess with Miami fans.

“Penalty will be accessed on the kickoff” so what?
Rock'em Sock'em replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall
From close range, Kickers may eventually learn to kick something that bounces in the landing zone and into the endzone. But I suspect only a couple teams will spend significant time on that skill. -
https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-gm-brandon-beane-on-why-the-amari-cooper-trade-happened-how-the-wr-will-fit-in-buffalo-s-offense Bean 09:08. There is potential to get a comp pick. I think comp picks are limited to 5th rounders for non QBs with 10+ years. Cooper was drafted in 2015, so this is his 10th year.

There is no real advantage to kick a high ball to the 5. The kick coverage still starts at the 40 yard line and they need to wait for the ball to bounce or be caught regardless of where it's kicked from. So perhaps try a lower kick that bounces in the landing zone. It's a shorter kick so it's likely easier to execute.

Raiders are open to trading Davante Adams
Rock'em Sock'em replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gabe is a good blocker, but Hollins is as good and probably better. As a WR, Gabe is a drive killer mainly due to his inability to adjust during routes - leading to incompletions or interceptions that other WRs make easy catches on. Bills offense started clicking right when Gabe got hurt last year. -
Bills now have the 6th youngest starting lineup in the NFL...
Rock'em Sock'em replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
They would have had the youngest starting lineup if not for Coleman taking so long to run onto the field. -
In order of benefit 1. TD 2. Pick up 1st down 3. FG 4. Punt inside 20 or INT inside 20 5. Punt for a touchback or INT for a touchback 6. Incomplete pass 7. Sack or TFL less than 8 yards 8. Missed FG 9. 10 yard sack 10. Turn over returned past the 42 yard line or for a TD Analytics says go for it. That's a good decision. They didn't make the play, which happens. The outcome was not what they wanted, but it could have been worse. It turned out better than a missed FG.

Meanwhile, over at FinHeaven....

Fields could be amazing with this current Dolphins team. Compared to Tua, he has a better arm, ability to run, ability to bye time, and better ability to throw on the run. Tua's thing is that he hits on those 2.2s throws that go 15 yards down the hash marks to Hill. But that seems like an overall play design thing, not skillset that is specific to Tua. Tua has also been very accurate on the deep throws to a wide open Hill. Apparently, that's a skillset that not every QB has. eh-hmmm. -
Can Khalil Shakir be WR2 next season?
Rock'em Sock'em replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
If cut after the 2024 season, there would be a cap savings of around $5M. Depending on how 2024 goes, that could happen. -
Can we bring the Beasley/Mckenzie role back already?
Rock'em Sock'em replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall
Isabella, 4.31. I wonder what's holding him back, as they favor Sherfield. -
When Jones is available, L. Joseph seems like the obvious choice for cut / practice squad. I believe we would still have unlimited call-ups for him form here on out if he is needed.

Not specifically defending Davis, but drops happen with every WR. In one case a player has possession of the ball and has it taken away. In the other case, possession was not established. Ideally professional receivers would catch everything that hits there hands. I don't know why that doesn't happen. Also, isn't Davis the player in possession of the incriminating photos?

When I think of garbage time, it is for the offense when your team is DOWN by 30 points. The defense is playing prevent and allowing easy completions - often to the running backs. Stats are easier to rack up. When you are UP and you run the clock with 8 minute drives when the defense knows what's coming, that is PRIME TIME, not garbage time. That not withstanding, we know the kind of player Cook is and his limitations. I'm glad we have him.

OT: will that FG block by the Pats fundamentally change kicks?
Rock'em Sock'em replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Another brilliant part of the play for New England is that the off rushing end (#27) did not rush the kicker. He was awaiting to pick up a blocked football for a scoop and score. Yesterday, the ball did not bounce he was, but it would seem likely to do so based on where he was waiting. https://www.patriots.com/video/brenden-schooler-blocks-dolphins-field-goal Having a speedy edge blocker capable of blocking that player, or putting the edge blocker more off the LOS would have its own consequences. The best counter of this will be changing the snap count and perhaps even using well timed offensive motion and hard counts to draw that player offside. And of course doing that could diminish the ability to focus on the kick. I'm curious to see how prevalent this becomes. On a similar note, Kam Chancellor had a few blocked kicks before the NFL put in a rule preventing his technique. https://www.seahawks.com/video/seahawks-safety-kam-chancellor-leaps-to-block-field-goals-184788 -

Is Gabe Davis a trade candidate?
Rock'em Sock'em replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's pretty simple. Let him ball out this year. If they can't sign him, take the comp pick and move on. -
