    Is that because its right infront of you? So signing Byrd = superbowl? Point being, this team has a lot of needs. Fans tend to fixate on the big story, but a FS isn't going to make or break us. I'd love to see goodwin form into a #1 in the Steve smith mold. I think he has the talent, but I don't know if he has the tenacity that Steve does to play that role.

    I agree it seems much different than whatever industry you and I work for. I thought it was required to allow a coach an upgrade, BUT only if to HC? I thought it was commonplace to permit any upgrade regardless. I dont know this answer... how often are coaches denied?

    I'm not familiar with the situation, but I feel bad about this. Did GB really need to block AVP? Was an x QB really that important to keep as your RB coach? Would you gain more with continuity over animosity?

    I don't remember them being clear about anything. Inside or out. Just that they had a plan in place.

    fair enough. I do remember TN being solid under him, just didnt know stats. I guess his personality during his tenure in det rubbed me the wrong way.

    I get that. In this case, I feel good numbers mean nothing, and bad numbers are a red flag... So to me its a wait and see.

    I can't feel comfortable looking at staffords stats. He worked with a 'mega' talent that no one else has.

    I have to read up and sleep on this one. I know more of him as a HC than a DC. HC I don't like him.

    I wonder if his reluctance toward playing OLB was due to his upcoming payday. DE > OLB Hes already gotten paid so if that was the sticking point before I'd guess it would be less now.

    Pretty much. People are dying to end the streak of missing the playoffs, but if we blow everything to get in and out quick its useless. Instead of 'we haven't made the playoffs in 14 years' it will be 'we've only went once in 15 years'. Not a whole lot better. We need a consistent winner that we feel has a chance to go all the way.

    After about half a season of play time, is the consensus that Manuel is never going to be good? How much time do we give the next one we draft? 5 games?

    Not what was originally reported for sure. Sounds like the guy lost his life over a simple mistake. Sad and disturbing.

    Also, If a team is starting a rookie QB they were most likely a bad team to be begin with.

    Agree, but I was joking. Either over everyone's head or really bad. Probably the latter
