  1. Sure, I guess. But definitely not a priority and likely a minimum salary deal. He's not the player he once was, he'd have to compete for a starting job with Wallace and I'm not sure he'd win.
  2. Rappaport broke the story. He also broke that the deal was off, and that the Bills had pulled out. He later (I was watching this unfold live on NFL Network this morning) updated the report saying AB's agent Drew Rosenhaus told the Bills he wasn't willing to come to Buffalo. Five minutes later Brandon Beane released his statement. For once, I don't think there's much we don't know. Rappaport was all over this and had everything accurate.
  3. But that's not what happened. We supposedly had a deal in place with the Steelers. And nobody is saying this had anything to do with contract demands. The knucklehead just didn't want to come here.
  4. He won't be there at 9, but hoping for a miracle. I want Quinnon Williams. If not Q, I'd be happy with Ed Oliver or even TJ. This is all based on us fixing the OL in FA, and nabbing a WR in round 2.
  5. The downgrade to LIFE comment is pretty nasty, it's not like Pittsburgh is some great city. The rest was fair, and turned out to be what happened. It's pretty much the narrative, it is what it is. We need to build a winner first, then all that talk goes away.
  6. Exactly! No idea if Cinci has any interest, or what the price might be, but we've learned the Bills will be aggressive in looking to add a playmaker(s) to this offense. That said, for the right price I'd be thrilled to pick AJ Green. We can and definitely should do both. I suspect the trade route is more appealing for WR, because the options in FA are not that enticing and will get PAID. Whereas there are a number of OL targets in FA that would be a significant upgrade.
  7. I don't see any way the Eagles can afford the contract he's going to demand.
  8. Maybe you're right, maybe they aren't shopping him at all. Could be that the Giants want him included in an OBJ deal that's rumored. We'll probably never know the whole truth, just the outcome.
  9. I have no idea what their cap situation looks like, but if I've got a guy making $12M a year, and I've just drafted someone who's close to that level at $2M a year, it stands to reason you might explore your options while the young guy is still cheap. Asset management. They also have another Pro Bowl calibre guard on the roster who will need to get paid (if he isn't already), in Joel Bitonio. Not every GM wants to tie up a ton of money in 2 guards.
  10. Much rather spend the money on O-line in FA, then use the draft to find a playmaker or two.
  11. Wait, is there a rumor they're in on Ramsey? Or that Ramsey is available?
  12. Does this look like a man who uses an umbrella?
  13. I think he is All Pro level, or at least near it. And the contract is likely equivalent to what someone like Saffold will get.
  14. Would love to get Zeitler. Million dollar question though, what's the cost? A 5th? I'd be in. Our second 4th? Sure. Anything earlier might be tough given the options available in FA.
  15. Think I read yesterday (on these forums) that they were college teammates
  16. Signing those 3 would be a huge impact on our roster heading into next year and allow us to focus more on weapons for Josh and BPA in the 1st. I'd be thrilled if we come out of FA that way.
  17. 1. Nick Bosa 2. Q Williams 3. Josh Allen 4. Ed Oliver 5. J Taylor 6. R Gary 7. C Ferrell 8. TJ Hockenson 9. DK Metcalf It's sounding more and more likely that at least 2 QB's will find their way into the top 8, so worst case for me is Ferrell.
  18. I'm not sure Barr is what Barr was supposed to be...
  19. At a reasonable price he'd be a nice addition. Help in the run game, and in his Indy days he was a decent target.
  20. Maybe I'm crazy, but I'd love to see us take a run at this guy. Move Edmunds to the outside and have him man the middle.
  21. I guess I'll be that guy. I'm pretty certain he already has his own thread. And yes, I'd love to pick up Hockenson, but not at #9, perhaps after a move back.
  22. When his former teammate slammed him on CBS (can't remember his name - safety for the Steelers for like 10 years - Ryan Clark?) I thought that was pretty damning. Mind you, he wasn't all that complimentary of Ben and his leadership skills either. I'd pass on AB unless I was extremely confident he'd come in, put his head down, work hard and drop the diva act. I'm just not sure how anyone could be confident in that.
  23. Fair enough, as a vet presence in the room he'd be solid, I just don't want to pay a premium for his past performance when it's unlikely he'll ever produce like that again.
  24. Not sure he solves any problems. Perhaps on a short deal with not a lot committed, but then why would he pick us unless he sees this as the best opportunity to re-build his value. Seems unlikely.
