  1. You can't always go by the chart, especially when a QB is involved. That said, I said could, both teams would need to be willing. I definitely can't see the Bills doing it for a 4.
  2. Can't help but wonder if this negotiating period will one day lead to a Deandre Jordan type scenario...
  3. To go from 9 to 11 could cost their second. Definitely not a 4th. You pay a premium near the top of the draft.
  4. He actually was lighting the world on fire with Fitz, then disappeared with Winslow. Not sure why, but he's still capable of producing.
  5. Been talked about before in these parts. He's definitely a good fit with Josh, better than any of the FA WR's. My only hesitation is cost, he's on a big ticket, plus Foster was effective in the deep threat role in the 2nd half of last season.
  6. I'd love this...but I don't think it's likely. The Steelers have a few holes to fill after the last few days, and I doubt they'd trade away that much draft capital for Ben's replacement, particularly a year after drafting Rudolph. Hope I'm wrong though!
  7. Good riddance Danny. Enjoy the fine city of Detroit!
  8. You sure about the $100M? I thought the Colts were the only team with that much space...and Osemele just took up 10M in space.
  9. So when is it time to panic? Obviously it's early yet, but at what point do we start to sweat? No O-line or TE signed (or reportedly signed) by end of day today? Tomorrow? End of week? Just curious how anxious everyone is. Personally, I'm a little obsessed right now, it's clearly F5 season for me. Logically, I know we shouldn't worry until the market has dried up and our targets are gone, I just hope I'm going to be able to remain level headed if we're not tied to one of these guys early.
  10. With so many holes to fill, can they afford to pay multiple interior lineman over $10M per season? I'm hoping that answer is no.
  11. Sign me up! i think we’d need 1 more TE through either FA or the draft though.
  12. Its possible they hear from their agent or another player (who heard from the agent) but I doubt the team fills them in unless they’re a veteran franchise QB.
  13. The more available the better. Increases our chances of landing someone, and maybe even drives down the price a little. I'd be fine with Lang for a couple of years.
  14. Don't think it's been reported anywhere. Peter Schraeger through this out this morning...could have been to flip 1st rounders with Pitt...but he was clearly speculating and not sharing something he'd heard.
  15. Sure, I guess. But definitely not a priority and likely a minimum salary deal. He's not the player he once was, he'd have to compete for a starting job with Wallace and I'm not sure he'd win.
  16. Rappaport broke the story. He also broke that the deal was off, and that the Bills had pulled out. He later (I was watching this unfold live on NFL Network this morning) updated the report saying AB's agent Drew Rosenhaus told the Bills he wasn't willing to come to Buffalo. Five minutes later Brandon Beane released his statement. For once, I don't think there's much we don't know. Rappaport was all over this and had everything accurate.
  17. But that's not what happened. We supposedly had a deal in place with the Steelers. And nobody is saying this had anything to do with contract demands. The knucklehead just didn't want to come here.
  18. He won't be there at 9, but hoping for a miracle. I want Quinnon Williams. If not Q, I'd be happy with Ed Oliver or even TJ. This is all based on us fixing the OL in FA, and nabbing a WR in round 2.
  19. The downgrade to LIFE comment is pretty nasty, it's not like Pittsburgh is some great city. The rest was fair, and turned out to be what happened. It's pretty much the narrative, it is what it is. We need to build a winner first, then all that talk goes away.
  20. Exactly! No idea if Cinci has any interest, or what the price might be, but we've learned the Bills will be aggressive in looking to add a playmaker(s) to this offense. That said, for the right price I'd be thrilled to pick AJ Green. We can and definitely should do both. I suspect the trade route is more appealing for WR, because the options in FA are not that enticing and will get PAID. Whereas there are a number of OL targets in FA that would be a significant upgrade.
  21. I don't see any way the Eagles can afford the contract he's going to demand.
  22. Maybe you're right, maybe they aren't shopping him at all. Could be that the Giants want him included in an OBJ deal that's rumored. We'll probably never know the whole truth, just the outcome.
  23. I have no idea what their cap situation looks like, but if I've got a guy making $12M a year, and I've just drafted someone who's close to that level at $2M a year, it stands to reason you might explore your options while the young guy is still cheap. Asset management. They also have another Pro Bowl calibre guard on the roster who will need to get paid (if he isn't already), in Joel Bitonio. Not every GM wants to tie up a ton of money in 2 guards.
  24. Much rather spend the money on O-line in FA, then use the draft to find a playmaker or two.
