  1. I think Green is the much better fit IMO. No idea if we're actually in on him, but Sanders seems a bit redundant with Beasley and McKenzie on the roster. To me, AJ is the perfect compliment. Size and speed to play the outside opposite Brown.
  2. I was so sure he was the "right" Josh...thank god I'm not making these decisions
  3. I think they won one of the games I attended, but it was more about the atmosphere. Very sterile in Toronto. Filled with "NFL" fans. Not nearly enough Bills fans. And no tailgating. I'd much rather make the trip to Orchard Park and enjoy a true NFL experience with the best fans in the world.
  4. I'm from Toronto and attended those games, and have to whole heartedly agree. The experience at the Ralph (ok New Era) is SOOOOO much better!!!
  5. I hope you're right!!!
  6. Given the talent of the roster, I give him an A+. Not trying to be negative, I love this team, but even our defense doesn't have one single stud. You could argue Jerry, or Tre, or even Micah, and they are certainly a talented group, but what they are achieving is incredible. Then look at the offense. Again, I love our team, but Brown and Beasley as your top receivers isn't inspiring. They are both super solid in their roles, but neither is exceptional. Gore is a legend, but not a true #1 stud anymore. And the O-line is a good solid group, but no real stars. Essentially he's taken a group of men, a very deep and solid group, and turned them into a TEAM. If Beane can sprinkle in one or two top tier talents to complement this group, we may be looking at a true contender.
  7. And I think yours was the 3rd thread on it. Depends on the asking price, but I'd gladly give a 4th for AJ.
  8. This could definitely be a sign that we're engaged with the Chargers and/or his agent. Or it could mean nothing.
  9. Agreed. And for the same reason I'd say Chargers over the Texans. Houston has a very good shot at the division, the Chargers could be a wild card threat (assuming KC steamrolls like I suspect they will).
  10. Yeah, when they showed the replay, you could see Quinnen basically knocked Morse over. Pretty quiet the rest of the day, but that was pretty impressive. Still, Ed flashed throughout the day. Looking forward to more of the same next week.
  11. I thought they held up really nicely in pass protection. The run blocking was a bit spotty. They certainly opened a couple of nice holes for Motor, but they struggled a fair bit too. Particularly when the Jets knew they'd be running the ball (which is the toughest time to do it). Hopefully a little more time to gel will help. The fact that they've shown they are willing to throw the ball should also keep teams from loading up the box. I'd love to see Ford at RG and Ty at RT next week.
  12. I'm not sure you understand how insurance policies work
  13. He's also being paid based on past performance. Let's be real, if he were on the open market he wouldn't be getting anywhere near that much. That said, I don't think he's completely done, he's still a capable back, maybe a little less dynamic than during his prime. But given a decent line and a better offense around him I think he can be effective. Also, those numbers account for the fact he's got tremendous depth competing for carries in the backfield this season.
  14. I'm optimistic, I say he hits 1000 yds. Somewhere around 800 rushing and 200 receiving. I think the offense will be much improved this year. He'll be sharing carries with Gore and Singletary, so he's unlikely to have a monster season comparable to what he's done in the past.
  15. Bills got snubbed all over the place. Agree with most of the above. I'll add Edmunds and Milano to the list. Love Lorax, but he's not our best LB. Also noticed Allen's athleticism and running skills match up with guys like Mitch Trubisky. Seems quite low to me. I can live with having the lowest Awareness of all starting QB's, but the rushing skills should be elite.
  16. Not sure how Dallas is going to pay Zeke, Dak, and Amare. It's a bit of a catch 22, with the O-Line being a big reason for their success, but also taking up a good chunk of the cap.
  17. What strikes me is how Barkley looks like a smurf out there in comparison to Josh and Tyree.
  18. Not that I advocate spending that much on a DT (one that would seem to fit at 3 technique and block Oliver), but if 10 teams (hard to believe) are in and the money is getting that big, doesn't that eliminate many OTHER teams that just don't have the space? I mean, in theory, we'd be one of the teams able to absorb that pretty easily on a short term deal. All that said, seems like an agent putting that buzz out there to try and create a bidding war. If everyone is so hot for him, why not offer up a late round pick over the last couple of months? Then you've got the guy signed and don't need to compete with others to get him in your building. Agree. Doesn't make much sense. I guess it's ultimately a scheme fit thing, with them moving to a 3-4 and Suh having played 5 technique last season. Still, looking purely at skillset, you'd think McCoy could just as easily fit as a 3-4 end, doesn't carry all the baggage Suh does, and from all accounts was a leader in that room. Must be something else we're unaware of.
  19. So if I'm reading this right, this year is pretty much all guaranteed, and $1M next year guaranteed? So a total of $4.5M? And only $1M past this year. Once again, leaves us flexibility should it not work out.
  20. Not McCoy related (directly), but Rapsheet is reporting that Suh is nearing a 1 year deal with the Bucs.
