    They do have to fill a roster folks. And these are guys who help win. Not big splashes, but if they come in with smaller cap hits it’s a goo piece of work.

    Makes a lot of sense. Happy to have him as a return specialist, and backup plan (as 3rd down back if something were to happen to Cook).

    As if being a just a TD machine would be such an awful player to add He’s a solid back, stylistically an almost perfect complement to Cooks, and should be significantly cheaper than the top of the market guys. As you said, if the price is right it’s a great move. Not sure how anyone could think otherwise.

    Willams would certainly be a good complement to Cook.

    There’s a time and a place for veteran additions. You don’t build a team that way, but they can help put you over the top when you have a roster ready to win. Not sure how much Smith has left, or how much he’ll be looking for. If he’s still playing at a high level and looking to win at a reasonable price, he’d be a welcome addition.

    The article just says he’s having trouble getting other GM’s and front offices aside from the Bills to talk to him because he’s under contract as a player. Try again. You’re making some silly assumptions.

    How do you know he’s not? I saw plenty about him working with Beane while injured this year. He seemed to have a ton of praise for Brandon and how he helped him in his career pathing.

    Yes, you definitely did. Ended up needing the ACL repaired while they were in for a scope. Sadly he won’t be back this season.

    Diggs is our #1 weapon and one of the elite guys in the NFL so this should come as no surprise. That said, I suspect the plays Diggs has sat out may be skewed by short yardage or obvious run plays. Also, the sample size is pretty small.

    Not sure if it’s the record, but the Mario Williams thread was more than double this big.

    We’ll find out week 17. That said, I feel like we face that all the time. Josh just has to take what they give him and we need to utilize the running game. We’ll employ a similar approach on Joe cool. Can they be patient and take what’s given? I’m confident it’s a challenge we can overcome.

    Trust in Beane. If you believed all the reports out there he’s getting $20M per season on a multi year deal while not being able to play a snap this season (or even pass a physical). No chance that is the case. If we sign him, it makes sense for both OBJ and the Bills.

    I just remember lots of discussion on hunting, and I believe Kyle went out to dinner with him. Plus over 200 pages in the thread. Was surreal that he actually signed with us. Times have definitely changed.

    If we lose one they need to be replaced. We don’t have a quality backup to step in, and they are both important to this defense. We could go WR, S, OL in the first three rounds and pickup quality eventual starters. Perhaps they pick up another interior OL in FA too.
