  1. Or his agent said “Take that down! It’s not done…yet”
  2. You guys had me worried about the Chargers entering the field for a minute there (which makes no sense)! Can now go back to panic level 8 after topping out at 10.
  3. Yes, you’re correct
  4. WGR says it’s for a 2nd, with a 3rd going back to the Jets.
  5. I’ve been in the don’t trade Ed camp, primarily because it would be just as expensive to replace him. Plus he’s got a higher ceiling than other DT’s making $10M. That said, it does feel like something is cooking. If we can somehow turn him into Hopkins, I’ll be thrilled as our offense would become truly elite.
  6. Sal is WGR right now and seems to think it’s possible.
  7. Ok, it definitely moved this time.
  8. Because Bean is a ninja who works in the shadows
  9. Yes. He restructured last week. I believe got a bit more guaranteed, but lowered the cap hit. Seems unlikely he’ll be cut.
  10. Career high in catches is only 18, so I suspect Cook or even Hines will be on the field on 3rd downs. It’s still a good addition though. He’s instantly our best short yardage back and brings more of a power element than we’ve had.
  11. LB is the biggest weakness right now. That said, drafting specifically for need is how you miss out on great players. I’m hopeful we’re able to add a MLB, WR, and power RB in FA and just focus on BPA in the draft. Would also be great if BPA landed us some solid OL help.
  12. For all we know his price tag was $10-12M at the beginning of the week when we checked in. He may have taken less as his market didn’t develop at that price.
  13. There is still time and options. Not sure we’re locked on a LB in round one yet.
  14. As long as it’s a contract in line with his current level of play, it makes sense.
  15. On Monday I may have agreed with you (although I thought maybe $8-9M). Several days into FA it becomes less likely that he gets the big payday. He may wind up getting $5-6M per on a shorter deal to try and get to the market again.
  16. And NOT a guard. If the man can’t play RT, he can’t play.
  17. Generally smaller guys get swallowed up in the traffic. It’s certainly not prototypical size. We were already soft to run against, I’m really hopeful he’s not the option in the middle. I wish the kid tons of success, but my preference is that would be on the outside in more of a coverage role (like Milano he played some safety in college).
  18. Why take an All Pro at one position and move him for a position he’s not really suited?
  19. I wouldn’t be so sure. I expect they’ll add a MLB, and possibly a WR, RB, and TE through the FA bargain bin. Of course that doesn’t preclude them from drafting those positions.
  20. “The inevitable Beane should’ve offered him that” posts grind my gear. As if they know he didn’t. It’s not a video game where the player always goes to highest bidder.
  21. Do we know the 2023 cap hit?
  22. Too soon sir. Too soon.
  23. This one has me so conflicted. Like lil dirty, his personality has been part of this team through its rise. But given his cap hit, his propensity to drop passes, and the fact that he really didn’t step up when given the opportunity last year, it makes complete sense. Still, a part of me is sad to see him go.
