  1. I think they’ll continue to add a few guys on vet min deals. They’ve got a few real dollars to spend, which I’m hopeful go to the Hopkins move. If not, I still think we make at least a small splash with that remaining cap room (LB or maybe Poonam Ford?).
  2. Technically we did it to get under the cap. But I agree, SOMETHING is cooking.
  3. I think the Chiefs are in a similar situation to the Bills. We are paying Von, Milano, Tre, Micah, and Poyer. I don’t have the actual numbers but I suspect we spend significantly more on D. Not to mention we’ve kicked cap down the curb a few times already which is impacting us. The Bengals are totally different. The owner won’t buy himself more cap space with restructures. They also have to pay Burrow, Chase, and Tee. They’ll struggle to keep that team together. At the end of the day, we’ll be fine provided Terry and Kim keep writing huge checks.
  4. See I’m torn on this line of thought. On one hand, I get the idea, you want to ensure you get the player. However, it’s probably not the best way to negotiate. You’re basically saying you’re willing to give more, so why on earth would the other GM accept your offer. I’d think you’d want to make them believe they’ve got your best and final, otherwise they’ll keep pushing for that little more you’d be willing to give.
  5. Some panic, terror, and mass amounts of speculation. Not much else really.
  6. I think that was just people coming up with proposals. I saw Simmons, Gabe, and Ed all mentioned, but I don’t think it was from actual sources.
  7. Sounds like Bernard. Here’s hoping they go with someone who can take on a block AND cover.
  8. Well, we have a RT, he just underperformed last year (agree we could definitely upgrade in the draft). MLB is a bare AF.
  9. Does he play MLB though? He’s a decent vet, but I thought he’s mor of an OLB in a 3-4 system.
  10. Teams play Dime on obvious passing downs. Nobody plays a Dime base formation.
  11. Would LOVE this to be true, but I don’t have any faith in this account. Let’s be honest, any of us could have called the Edwards signing. He was in town for a visit, not exactly calling a shot out of left field.
  12. Honestly we have no idea what might be in the works. If we’re still depending on Dodson and Bernard in a month, THEN hit the panic button.
  13. Did you actually watch the Bills this year?
  14. That’s cherry picking stats. Davis was used primarily on deep routes last year. If you had selected YPC and TD’s it looks very different. Don’t get me wrong, Jeudy runs good routes and would be excellent in this offense, but it’s not a big enough upgrade to justify giving up a 1st. Especially when you need to give him a big contract next season. I’d rather take DHop and keep the 1st.
  15. I’d do a 2, but I actually think a 3 gets this done. Would be even better if it were from next year’s draft. This leak is all posturing.
  16. Likely requires a contract restructure, so yes, the team acquiring him will want that all worked out in advance. He definitely has control over where he is dealt.
  17. Mario Williams too (like Spikes it was a FA deal). Although with Mario it was more certain we were in on him as he was in the city dining with Kyle Williams and the brass.
  18. Are you saying we’re going to get OBJ then?
  19. DHop has to be willing though, given he’ll need to restructure his deal. So he definitely has a say.
  20. You’re both wrong. It’s from 2 days ago, dated Mar 21st.
  21. Well they also lost the NFL man of the year and starting LT, which might have been more impactful. That said, I didn’t realize he played every snap on that SB winning team. Pretty cool depth add. Anyone know if he’s better on the left or right?
  22. I think it’s at least a possibility
